He missed a couple. The thing is, he hit most perfectly (perfectly) and 95% is not going to cut it when you’ve set your own bar that high. Absolutely incredible.
That tone dude!!! Sure we all missing Dime!!!! Every time I listen to those riffs it gives me the chills... And every time is like listening to something new!!! Great work!!!
Just want to say your videos have helped me through one of hardest saddest times of my life and inspired me to play guitar a lot more than I used to. You saved my life man. Thank you! 🎸🤘
Damn I was looking for a Pantera riffs video to practise them and clicked on this video to later find out this was uploaded just 3 hours ago. Coincidence? Well at least thanks for helping me out that quick Ola!
Great video Ola, and I love the way the tab is set up on screen. TBH I probably wouldn't have tried to play half these riffs if it weren't for this video.
It’s so impressive how dimebag was able to make standard tuning sound heavy asf! I never knew regular people was in standard tuning! I always thought it was a half step down or d standard! I think vinnie Paul’s drumming also helped make those riffs a lot heavier
Great, thank you ! There are small details i hadn't noticed on "Regular People" and "Suicide Note". I sometimes start the "CFH" riff with an upstroke, it's easier with the A chord.
This is soooo fucking awesome......the tunings are almost as important as your playing...what a wonderful lesson...the tunings are almost half the battle...great job...,THANK YOU!
I was inspired to learn the regular people and suicide note riff from the last video. Thanks for this! You should make a video on how to approach Dime’s tone or at least your thought process when it comes to EQ shaping because yours is spot on.
Epic Ola, inspired me to tune my eclipse to C# standard and Dime it up. The man was a genius. Also lighter strings have changed my playing for the better, keep it up 🤙🏽
Good job, Ola. And thanks. For discussion: I think Dime played "Regular People" with open strings, closer to the nut. It gives a different sound, more staccato'ish, with less natural hand slides. I haven't found a video to confirm it though.
yeahhhh man!!!! love this video and all the details about the riffs!!! one thing, I used to play revolution downpicking in the begining instead of alternate...Think I saw Dimebag playing it this way when I learnt the riff...Anyway it sounds awesome!!!! Thanks for the video*
Super Nailed. 8:25 ( This Love Riff) I think Dime was using open A String instead of 5th fret on E. Open A is a bit more difficult for my picking. I prefer 5th fret too.
Hey ola, thank you for being really awesome!!! Did it actually take you a lot of time to learn each part? I mean... I played some of them wrong for years and then down the line I learned how to do them correctly... I guess the same happened to you. My question is: where did you learn this? Mixture of tabs and ears? Greethings from croatia. I think I subscribe right now, it's just about time to do
If you look close at the end of cowboys from hell he plays the last 4 notes different than the tab. For anyone else that got thrown off by the 6 5 in the tab, he is playing 1 0 on the A string, which is the same notes so dont be too thrown off by the tab if you learned it the A string way like i did, thats what Ola is playing anyways haha. Havent seen a vid of Dime himself though
I feel like the apprentice of the apprentice, learning from the master 😂 Awesome video, thanks Ola! I'm coming to the end of my first proper year of guitar (funked around for many years...) and am just at a level where I can start to play these riffs... after several months of continuously coming back to this video 😁 Thanks man!
5:25 I've sen tabs that have the 5 to 2 pull off, but I've also seen some with it going up ( like 2 hammer on to 3 for example). Dime had such a crazy tone on Trendkill sometimes i can hear it both ways lmao
You nailed the tone for each track perfectly. I'm impressed and envious. Great job!
Nelson Velazquez K
He missed a couple. The thing is, he hit most perfectly (perfectly) and 95% is not going to cut it when you’ve set your own bar that high. Absolutely incredible.
Nelson Velazquez I am pretty sure he did a small, no, tiny bend on each note he was playing
the only thing I believe could have been better was the pinch harmonics
No, it wasn't perfect, so shut up.
PLEASE MAKE THIS A MONTHLY THING PLEASEEEE
That tone dude!!! Sure we all missing Dime!!!! Every time I listen to those riffs it gives me the chills... And every time is like listening to something new!!! Great work!!!
Kylo Ren is killing it over there on drums.
That's Delta empire
@@brewhammad1026 whooosh
Yeah.. Had to Google kylo ren. Don't judge me
@@arbazann Whooshing is gay.
@@ABlazeintheNorthernSky lmao
The 'primal concrete sledge' and 'this love' riffs have always been my favourite to play!
Just want to say your videos have helped me through one of hardest saddest times of my life and inspired me to play guitar a lot more than I used to. You saved my life man. Thank you! 🎸🤘

That is Dimeintervention.
Absolutely love these "learn pantera riffs" vids...I can read tab but watching someone play it makes it so much easier. THANKS!
You somehow nailed the sound for these so perfectly that you've fooled me into thinking that it was just the actual song.
Thank for spreading some light on, Suicide note part 2. Really underrated song!
Thanks Ola!!!
I really appreciate the time you took to show us how some of Dime’s best riffs are played. Dimebag would be proud 🤘🏻
Display of some insane riff mastery! The drummer also knows his job. Thanks a lot
Finding your channel has really inspired me to pick my guitar back up and WALK back to the band that inspired me to learn guitar.
I'm certain that my neighbors just heard me yelling. "NO...MORE...HEAD...TRIP"
Patrick Harris same and mine are about half a mile away
Perfect tone and perfect playing! Very impressive!
More of these bids please, Ola! These are super helpful!
I can't hear the riff of Primal Concrete Sledge without headbanging.
I can't hear any of them without banging head and feet, if I'm sitting down. \m/
Ola you are awesome ... The hell, the ease with which you are playing those riffs ! AWESOME !
10 Awesome Carcass riffs!!
I knew the cowboys from hell riff, but man, you olayed it so good...
I need to keep practising
Damn Ola, you make it look so easy and Dime made it look like poetry in motion!
disregard just realized you include each tuning for each song 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
thank you for taking the time to do this.
Thank you so much. I have been trying so hard to play revolution is my name. Thank you!
Great video Ola, and I love the way the tab is set up on screen. TBH I probably wouldn't have tried to play half these riffs if it weren't for this video.

Pra mim não existe ninguém que fazia algo mais pesado que ele
Someone finally taught that part in Slaughtered!! Thank you Ola!!
Thx man, you really got the tone right.
I always tune to d standard and 428 cents, guess I have to rethink that ;)
Killer Ola! The Power Metal album gets overlooked a lot too but is full of killer riffs and really good solos!
THANK YOU!!! please keep doing what your doing Ola... LOVE IT!!!
It's nice that you included the Hz on how each songs were tuned... Thanks Ola...
I'm now convinced that Ola and Delta should start a Pantera cover band. Who will be the bass player and singer?
Phil and Rex ?
Great, thank you ! There are small details i hadn't noticed on "Regular People" and "Suicide Note".
I sometimes start the "CFH" riff with an upstroke, it's easier with the A chord.
I love that you out the HZ rating because that little adjustment makes a big difference.
Unbelievable how Dime made such kickass riffs in standard E
if it aint heavy in standard it aint heavy
This is soooo fucking awesome......the tunings are almost as important as your playing...what a wonderful lesson...the tunings are almost half the battle...great job...,THANK YOU!
Thanks Ola. Keep doing these please!!!
So many thanks man for tabs and tutorial, the guitar tone is killing me , sounds fantastic 👍👍
Where did you find the tabs? Besides the small ones in the video? Only asking cause I would love to know the proper tunings and string gauges used
@@TheEPICBeardedGinger I exactly meant the small tabs and tuning that he mentioned bro, I don't have any other information
Awesome OLa !! Ola the Instructer lol That drummer kills ,I need drummer like that and the kit is sick as HELL !!!!
i remember when i saw them live and they opened with revolution. it was insane
Such an underrated song and album as well. I love Reinventing the Steel though I recognise it lacks some of the magic the other record have.
Good morning from NY! Thx for The Pantera wake up call!
Yes...this video just got even better.....great idea . Thanks 🎸🔥👏
Great Idea!
Thank you!
I trust *YOU* more than any tabs!
amazing sound that drums! everything is great
Enhorabuena por tu trabajo y pasión! Desde Galicia (España) tienes un seguidor más.

This Love is such a catchy riff, love it!

Well that is inspiring. I tuned my guitar to D and I started learning:)
one of the greatest dimebag riffs compilation I've ever seen
This is fucking great
Ola is THE FUCKING BEST PERSON ON EARTH!!!!!

Hey Ola! Thanks for this. I know what I'll be practicing in the nearest future 😉👍
Top notch segment and play along. Thanks
I was looking for Message in Blood tab to work it.
I didn't find it, but now I've got 10 more riffs to work!!!
Epic Ola, inspired me to tune my eclipse to C# standard and Dime it up. The man was a genius. Also lighter strings have changed my playing for the better, keep it up 🤙🏽

greatest guitar instructional video. ever.
You are the keeper of the holy tone
This is where zakk learned to play em
you should do a series.. and do like a full song tutorial... each week if possible .. great tone and playing

Thanks probably gonna try to learn some of these. The key word being try
Great job on the tones ola
That dimebolt is sick!!!!!
Thank you kind sir of the metals
Dude, who else writes riffs like the two you showcased for "Regular People" and "Slaughtered". Dime was so experimental.
That tone is so sick.....
NOTES:
- for those looking onto the tabs - note that Revolution is My Name is all triplets!
- I'm Broken the guitar is tuned to C#
Love your tone!

See this is how Dime played the riffs.
Please do old Pantera. I Love old Pantera even made a video about old Pantera Albums "Talking about Pantera"
That drummer is kickass!
