I will never forget the low flyby we received after being escorted home with it covering or asses once apon a time in Afghanistan. It was morale that was very much needed on that long patrol home. Honestly that flyby is so so important. I went from being exhausted to hyped for the fight once again in that short moment. So surreal looking back.
Absolutely amazing video, thank you!
That is a very cool video. Thanks for sharing that. That was awesome
Thanks for watching!!
The wings flexing when they load and unload is really a nice touch.
Holly cows (no offense) but I’m recalling the first combat sim I owned in 1988 called “Jet”.. it’s so amazing what humans can do if they work as a large focused team.
Haha, I played that too! You could fly the F-16, or the Hornet, and the MiG's just kept rolling as they flew, with just a very simple wire mesh model. It's crazy how far sims have come! I'm still flying the F-16C and F/A-18C in DCS today. And about 8 other modules, lol.
“Hey friend , have any more of that Sioux City sarsaparilla?”
Damn, you are right... im advertising White Rock Beverages.. :)
@@FlightSimulationnice video by the way. Subbed.
I’ll also have a look into that brand , thanks
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
Good show mate...😊
Thanks for watching!!
If you think this is brutal realism wait until the Pimax Super comes out. VR in 4K glory.
Man, I’m betting on another leap forward in VR with that! :)
Brilliant
nobody that has hair on their balls says "m - k eighty-two's..." You say "Mark eighty-two's".
Haha, I’ve heard Mark eighty-two's before.. guess I should’ve remembered with my hairy balls getting in the way! Blame it on the language mix-up! Thanks for watching!
Are you kidding me! All other sims are now obsolete. This is on another level altogether!
🙃 It's insane...
Falcon BMS is more realistic for the F16. but not as good looking as DCS
@@sambrady9009 OK, I can agree as far as the optics on the mfd's and other cockpit visuals are concerned. From my perspective DCS is far better on those.
@@benjamin-t9e Looks better.. But on system fidelity DCS slacks heavily. Entire MFD pages dont work in DCS that are important to start up whereas in BMS all of that and more is implemented for 5 dollars at the cost of shitty graphics outside and inside a bit. But like you said for Visuals, DCS wins by a mile.
Hello what its yours setiing for this amazing vidéo ? thx in advance
Hey, thanks for watching! I'm going to make a new video with my settings. Stay tuned!
This is cool. How do you capture the front facing view alongside the eye recording? Is it track replay with manual alignment??
Thanks for watching! Every view on the right side of the screen, as well as the full-screen views, are captured from the replay and manually aligned.
@@FlightSimulation Bet that took a bit of time. Great results though.
On a scale from 1 to 10 how motion sick am I gonna get when I try DCS in VR for the first time? lol
It really depends on the person, but if it’s your first time in VR, I’d say around a 6 or 7 out of 10. DCS can be pretty intense with all the motion and quick maneuvers. The best approach is to fly until you start feeling motion sickness, then immediately stop and take a break. Your brain needs time to adapt. Over time, you’ll build up tolerance-now I can fly for hours with zero issues! Just take it step by step, and you’ll get there. Some people have zero motion sickness from the beginning, but I experienced it and trained myself for a while. Trust me, it’s worth it!
Depends on the person, but I have had 0 motion sickness since day 1. I fly DCS occasionally and Elite:Dangerous a lot. Both are incredibly immersive in VR. HP Reverb G2.
That depends on you. Do you get motion sick generally? I fly in VR and have never had an issue. My wife though, put on my headset once, and was nauseous within 30 seconds. My daughter has trouble keeping a VR headset on for more than a few minutes.
They both wear glasses and have pretty strong prescriptions. I've never had glasses in my life. I dont get motion sick. The only problem I do have with VR, is that it is pretty heavy on the face and the forehead. I think if someone is developing a VR headset, they should make a version that is a FULL helmet. It will more easily distribute the weight, and you will be able to wear it longer. Plus it will just feel cool wearing a helmet in a flight simulator.
I will add that the key to avoiding motion sickness is a high frame rate and low latency. If you experience high latency, then motion sickness can occur quickly...
ALL DEPENDS ON THE INDIVIDUAL. NO ONE CAN TELL YOU WHAT YOU WILL FEEL. THE PERFORMANCE IS DEPENDENT ON YOUR SYSTEM YOU ARE USING.
You need at least a RTX 4090 for this. My RTX 4080 Super will not drive the Primax Cristal I'm afraid.
in the f18 is difficult to see the pilot while in f16 is quite easy
Did you do any color grading in the editing of the video? or is this DCS itself? If it's DCS, what gamma / filter settings are you using? Reshade of any sort
I did a little color correction in the editing of the video.
The cockpit has a good distance from you, in my case in VR the cockpit seems to be stuck to my face ? is there any option for zooming out the cockpit in VR ??
I believe the distance is accurate because this is captured in VR, not in 2D. If I understood your issue correctly, when you play in VR and then watch the replay in 2D, the aspect ratio changes, as does the zoom factor, making the cockpit appear too close. As far as I know, there’s no solution to this; capturing in VR is the only method I’ve discovered, but you have to deal with a one-eye aspect ratio, which is approximately half of the screen.
@@FlightSimulation
No, my issue is when I play with VR ( in VR view) this cockpit and specially the HUD is very close to me ,
@@arzhangsadeghiBy default, the VR puts me too close to the front of the cockpit and the HUD as well, especially in the F-16C. Easy fix though: launch the mission, and let everything load in. You should be in the normal position with your face too close to the HUD. Now lean forward 6-10 inches in your chair and hit the key on your keyboard to recenter your VR view (I think it might be "5" by default, but could be wrong), then lean back to your normal position. You will now be an appropriate distance further back. Repeat as necessary until you achieve the distance you like. There you go.
FYI, you may have to go into the key bindings and assign a key to this function if it'snot already set. You should see an option saying "recenter VR view."
Happy flying!
@@mco51193 Thank you so much for the Tip!! appreciate it .
@@arzhangsadeghi You got it. My pleasure.
i think as real as it gets would be doing this in bms lol
Yeah, BMS is super realistic, but visually it's not on par with DCS, at least not yet, and that's crucial for immersion in virtual reality.
As the other gentleman said, until they significantly upgrade their graphics, it sure wouldn't be nearly as realistic. Nothing ruins immersion faster than seeing a bunch of pixels in your face.
@@mco51193 that in itself is flawed realism does not equal graphics at all. dcs is totally unrealistic in a ton of ways
@@CallsignWombat428 True. But without question still one of the closest to life military flight simulations ever made....some modules, like the A-10C and F-16C, are now realistic enough to be used by nation state militaries to help train their pilots, so my guess is the realism is going to be more than enough for most virtual pilots sitting at home. Not having graphics that look like they came from the early 2000s goes a long way towards making up for other shortcomings.
I will for sure check BMS out once they upgrade their graphics engine though. Since I'm exclusively playing in VR, that is a prerequisite to me having any interest in the game. That's just me though.
@@mco51193 the f16 is nowhere near realistic in dcs. at all. its only realistic if you fly it in singleplayer pve environment. but the f16 is missing a ton of key features that would make it "realistic". the systems and modelling and FCS of the f16 on top of core game mechanics poor modelling leave a lot to be desired sadly
My setup with 4090 24gb VRAM and 64GB of RAM struggles with DCS. Are there tricks to increase FPS in DCS? Anything YOU are using?
Pimax Crystal and foveated rendering are the key tricks.
@@FlightSimulation My Quest 3 doesn't support foveated rendering :( Time to upgrade to Pimax Crystal I guess.
Check out the links in the video description. The Pimax Crystal Light is a great option for staying within a reasonable budget.
@@FlightSimulation Just noticed the links. Really considering it, thank you!!
What flight sim?

bro thinks hes a real pilot 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂Hey, I'm as real as it gets... in VR! 😎
So it is a video game where you pretend yourself to be a fighter pilot ?
No, it's a simulation that makes you feel like you're actually inside a fighter jet.
Weird comment
