I tried a similar product designed for snoring, and it didn't stay in the nostrils for more than a half hour. There does not appear to be a "one size fits all" solution to silicone "nose buds"
So I've been a Registered Sleep Technician for 11 years. I'm the guy that sets the pressure for CPAP patients during their Therapy Session Night at a sleep facility. First off, this device (Airing) uses nasal pillows. Nasal Pillows have the highest rate of slip off/and leak from the nose. If you turn your face, pull your hose, or simply don't have the proper nasal pillow fit to begin with.... there is a 95% chance or higher that one or both pillows will slip, leaking the very thing you need for your snoring/sleep apnea which is Positive Pressure. I haven't placed a patient on a nasal pillow mask for over 6 years because of consistently seeing these issues in clinic. And the newer style pillows they've come out with are no better.Second, there is NO way a unit that small could produce pressures that would be strong enough to inflate the airway and diaphragm properly. The average CPAP unit produces 4 - 20cm of water pressure requiring a medical grade air compressor. This is where I truly get mad as a CPAP Therapist! People see ads on TV/internet or hear on the radio that there's a better device made to deal with their sleep apnea/snoring over using the "annoying" CPAP machine. NONE of these devices other than a select few Dental/Oral devices work. CPAP or PAP therapy in general is the only way to truly treat snoring/sleep apnea. Nowadays, PAP units are much smaller, easier to use, and can be monitored wirelessly by your Physician/DME company via online applications. All in all, if you snore moderately or severely you need to contact your PCP and get a sleep study done. Period. Sorry Airing, until you can legitimately prove that your device can produce valid pressures to alleviate moderate to severe sleep apnea, you need to stop trying to sell snake oil to real people with real sleep issues.
Any suggestions on which type of machine one can use as a newbie with some claustrophobia? I absolutely hate anything around my neck, it causes me anxiety.
@@qjohnson21 There are surgical treatments for sleep apnea, but they are usually a last resort if a patient has not responded well or tolerated CPAP or a dental device such as a mandibular repositioning device, or has not successfully modified other lifestyle factors to help reduce their apnea symptoms. The rates of success for surgical treatments vary, and are not a sure fix by any means. Complications including relapse are possible.

Typically the best solution for most people is to lose weight if weight is the issue. CPAP and surgery is pretty much the other options depending on your situation.

Hello Max, Airing is not available yet. You bought a knockoff of the Airing device. There are many sites selling a copy of the Airing demonstration model. It is not a CPAP device, and will not treat sleep apnea. It is hollow inside--there are no micro-blowers, no battery, and no pressure sensors. We are working to get these fake, ineffective items removed from many sites but even when we are successful on one site they pop up somewhere else. Big CPAP companies would just steal the tech, call it "extremely portable CPAP" and charge outrageous amounts for it. Companies want more options to make money not just make money on what the current tech is. Odds are, it just doesn't work.

i got one and it is very cheaply made barley blows at all. doesnt fit well and when using head strap it pulls the thing into your upper lip and is very uncomfortable. i was really hoping it would work

i have a middle serious apnea, i will order this equipment but not for night sleeping sondern after fressing sleeping, afternoon, for 5-10 minutes small sleeping is a big help
There is no reason that you shouldn't be able to charge this the same way that the batteries for step counters are charged. I can't see this working. Different patients required different air pressures. How would this regulate the amount of air you get?

Thats not 100% true, I was able to order one off of Amazon granted it was a Chinese knockoff but that's a decent job I suppose if I were to leave a rating I would say 3.5. in my experience it's been a relatively decent product.

It's a con job. Just ask yourself this - how will it stay up your nose when 18cm of pressure are pumping into your airways? If you have used cpap before you'l know what that feels like and there is no way that thing will sit on your lip -it's going to fly out your nose and half way across the bedroom. Micro Pumps my arse!
Does this little plastic whatever device does it really work I wish I had one for free just to try it out see if it really work I'm on a CPAP machine sometimes I use it sometimes I don't because I don't think it's really helped me at all because I'm usually tired 24/7 from sun up to sun down
There's no way this CPAP can output "20" on such small hardware without a larger power source over the course of a night. Even portable CPAP setups are 4 or 5 times larger without the mask itself. This is either a breakthrough that defies all physics or it's a scam. You decide.

Total BS! There is NO way those pumps can create enough airflow. Additionally, there is NO way there is enough battery power to run all night. I wear a CPAP for 8+ hours a night. Just utter BS.
i was of at a weight of 105 lbs at 5' 3" when i was first diagnosed with severe abstructive sleep apnea. with no abnormalty of mouth or throat or sinuses, So I can tell you NO weight is not always the culprit.

It's a con job. Just ask yourself this - how will it stay up your nose when 18cm of pressure are pumping into your airways? If you have used cpap before you'l know what that feels like and there is no way that thing will sit on your lip -it's going to fly out your nose and half way across the bedroom. Micro Pumps my arse!

There's no way this CPAP can output "20" on such small hardware without a larger power source over the course of a night. Even portable CPAP setups are 4 or 5 times larger without the mask itself.
This is either a breakthrough that defies all physics or it's a scam.

Total BS! There is NO way those pumps can create enough airflow. Additionally, there is NO way there is enough battery power to run all night. I wear a CPAP for 8+ hours a night. Just utter BS.

i was of at a weight of 105 lbs at 5' 3" when i was first diagnosed with severe abstructive sleep apnea. with no abnormalty of mouth or throat or sinuses, So I can tell you NO weight is not always the culprit.
