- Sytrus can sometimes sound thin and the unison not the greatest so in this video I show you a few tips to really get Sytrus to sound fat and analog!

haha thanks man! that happens to me a lot, I forget to make tracks because sound design is so much fun. I do end up with a lot of presets that way, so when I do eventually buckle down and write a track, it goes pretty quickly

God, image line excells in those filters! Mango and Lime kick ass! And this video is making me fall in love with this synth. I never thought it sounded thin to me. I just took it as its own flavoring...like, a piercing and razor like.
sytrus is such a cool synth. It gets really fun combining additive synthesis with FM synthesis!

I don't know you noticed that or not, but it's not good when you want make a punchy Pluck or punchy thing in sytrus. I mean the pitch articulator doesn't work well. even in other fl synths. You can try it. Make a punchy Pluck in serum and then try it in sytrus. The serum one will be much better than sytrus. I don't know if it has any solution.
I hadn't noticed that while making some ouncy patches but I'll look into it and see if I can find out what you mean

Well you know that synth. It has always been intimidating to me but I need to get to know it better.
Sytrus can be intimidating for sure, but given enough time it all starts to click. It can do quite a lot

Citrus will only sound thin or not up to standard if you don't know what you're doing It's FM synthesis. which is like one of the hardest synthesis to learn out of them all. That's why you don't see a lot of people on TH-cam. using FM plugins. You see them mostly using serum because serum is pretty easy to use. but there's a problem about that. Everyone just ends up sounding like they're using syrup. and you don't get the same sounds. from serum as you do from F. M. And you don't get the same sounds from serum as you get with FM. You can get close, but they're not exactly identical.
