Sad to see the old factory and offices being destroyed, the birth place of millions of classic Ford cars, including mine, ironically as the factory is being lost forever, one of my 3x Ford Cortina Mk.3's is being fully restored to brand new with genuine Ford replacement panels front to back, the car has always been kept original, and when finished will be a fine tribute to all the highly skilled hard working employees who helped design, & build her at Dagenham, if anyone want to know what she is like take a look n my channel, (2 of the 3 that I own are on there)
I know how Ford employees must have felt, as my old factory at Southall, “AEC” who had built London’s buses for 67 years was taken apart piecemeal following Leyland closing down production there……….
