I never been a fan of Dom.. but the more I get exposed to his game and his personality off the court during interviews, I became a fan gradually... he truly deserves to win the US Open 2020 Finals.. it's his time. I would like to say that he's part of the next gen, but he's more of a big bro to the next gen, and a younger bro to the big 3.. Dom is like the Federer of his generation.. Fed is a bit older than Djoko, Murray, and Nadal.

Daniil should perform well coz all he needs is momentum and confidence. But we’ll see. Maybe Thiem will be reenergised again

There was Marat Safan, Agassi, Roddick, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, guga, Pat Rafter, and Nalbandian to name a few very decent players. Also granted that Goran Ivanišević and Sampras were at the tail end of their careers they still were a threat. Hewitt made the best of that void of dominance, but he was still a highly talented worthy player.
