  • Everyone is telling you that you should use the Bob423 tracks when crusing the Atlantic ICW. They're right! You should! But how do you get them from Bob's website into your chartplotter? That's what this video is all about.
In this video I show you how to download a Bob423 track from his site, open the track to see where it goes, copy the track onto an SD card, and then import the track into a Garmin chartplotter. The equipment I'm using is a Mac OS computer and a Garmin GPSMap 7612 chartplotter, but it should provide enough info for you to do it on Windows computer and any Garmin Chartplotter that's a little newer or a little older than mine -- as long as it has an SD card slot, you should be able to get the job done. Once the track is imported, I explain how you can check to see that it's really there and also how you can set up your chartplotter and autopilot to work together to drive your boat following the track.
You can find Bob's tracks here:

Great explanation. There is also a Mac free program to remove the double files. I run into that with video files on a sd card. Guessing you have that also. Cheers.

I actually don't. Thanks for this. I'll look for it.

@estatejay, what's the name of that free Mac program to remove the double files? Where does one get it? TIA
