- The Peak Pilgrimage is a 35 mile trail from Ilam to Eyam in the beautiful Peak District National Park. We walked this over three days - here's part one.
Starting from Ilam on the Staffordshire border, we passed through Dovedale and Milldale with its tiny chapel. Climbing to Alstonefield, we found our third church before dropping steeply down Gypsy Bank into Wolfscote and Beresford Dales.
Although there is accommodation in Hartington we turned off the trail to a campsite behind the Waterloo Inn at Biggin.

Hi Steph, we had lovely weather on the first day. Those blue skies were a real treat. I loved this pilgrimage, so much to see and explore. 😊
It was great wasn’t it? I loved it, many laughs too! X
Great part one of your 35 mile trail Steph. I love Ilam, Dovedale and Milldale. Glad you enjoyed Wolfscote Dale, a bit quieter than Dovedale. Love the slow motion walking towards the end! 😂Gonna watch part two now 😁
Thanks Patrick, yes we were having a bit of fun with that sign! I do love Wolfscote Dale
Looks a nice walk, in a lovely area of the Peaks. Thanks for the video! Xx 🚶♀️❤
Thanks Sue, yes it was a great walk! X

Thanks, yes it was a great trail, I’d really recommend it
Nice one Steph. We did the Peak Pilgrimage this year. But did it in sections (circular walks) have done the proper route before. Lots of places close to my heart as i am Biggin born and bread. However live in Parsley Hay now. Sat waiting in anticipation for pt2
Thanks, it’s so lovely round Biggin and Parsley Hay, nowhere like the Peak District
My sort of walk there a nice little pub crawl Glad you two had fun
Thanks yes the pub stops were a bonus! Beautiful walk too
