Kocham stopy Jana Sebastiana Bacha w muzyce organowej. Sama byłam swego czasu organistką i powiem, że ten głos w polifonii jest dla mnie magiczny. Uwielbiam basy. W muzyce także kontrabas. Zaś w życiu biegający radosny objaw szczęścia wyrażony szybkim przemieszczaniem się wśród pól ukwieconych w słońcu. Radość stworzenia !!!!!!!!! Taki bieg łąkami, to przeciaż także radość, objaw szczęścia !!!!!! Justyna Philipp
Wiem, o czym mowa. Zanim poszedłem na organy, grałem w I stopniu na kontrabasie. Teraz, kiedy gram pieśni w kościele, bas jest często bardziej ruchliwy, niż melodia tematu ;)
You know everyone has their own take, preference, favorite organist, and plenty of helpful suggestions. From one organist to another: GREAT job with this. The mix of mostly toes, with heals mixed in as needed, is refreshing. Your pedal technique is outstanding. I first heard Virgil Fox play this live, quite a long time ago and it was the best. I have to say that this piece, along with the toccata, is probably the most challenging Bach piece to play well. Registration changes, swell shades, and, some of the most difficult footwork make this piece a challenge. Congratulations, my colleague, very well done! The D-dur! And, yeah my organmasters just turned twenty years old.
I would say that the pipe organ is the most complex instrument to master... True mastery comes when the player can transcend the mechanical nature of the instrument and bring music to life.
element #83 k. what i mean is let the music flow through the san jaos and then dramatics speed timbre all of it follows. if all you do is read evry note right and mechanical correct. fine. music happens after that. both important. san jaos of what happens there for Me personally deternine which version i prefer. to each his own. i dont like it as well when everything is at same volume same eveness same everything. that is what i was saying before
I love this angle, because it makes it very easy to track where you are harmonically during the piece. This is now one of my favorite lesser known works by Bach after watching this.
I'm glad my comments were helpful. As for the bench to console distance, you're right that it's something that requires experimentation (often in combination with the bench height); it's usually a fine balance of support and maneuverability. The bench position should allow you to easily reach the uppermost manual of your organ, but not so close that your arms and wrists are constricted while playing on the lower manuals.
Amazing music, amazing sound , amazing performance....thanks. This work of Bach is a manifestation of his youth, self-confidence and joy of mastering this amazing instrument.
Tim, you greatly deserve greater exposure as you truly are a stunning, precise, magnificent organist. How I wish I had your talent! ALL of your videos are just perfect!
Awesome! Incredible Foot Work. Bravo. I Love to Lisen & He This Piece. NOT An Easy piece to Play. It Is Probably One Of The Most Difficult Pedal Pieces To Play. Love To See More. Keep Up The Great Organ Playing.
GrandeBombarde16 I'm just curious, you have to have some special shoes, for example some special for an organists, or you can wear just ordinary shoes? :)
Martin CZ I wear OrganMaster shoes whenever I practice or perform. It's not "absolutely necessary," though, to wear special shoes designed for organists; many prefer to play in dress shoes, and some even play without shoes. However, using organ shoes definitely helps refine an organist's pedal technique and leads to more precise and effortless playing.
M. Paul Wanders Ce n'est pas une piéce si difficile que cela, impressionante, oui, mais tout tombe bien sous les mains et les pieds, ceci dit, superbe interprétation, bravo !D.BABEL
Excellent..!...I play the piano and I have a hard enough time playing with my fingers.....people that play with fingers and feet.....well that's a gift and talent....thank you for sharing this..!
It amazing and beautiful! Thank you! I am learning organ by myself now and watching some great works. Speechless. Thank you anyway for inspiring me. :)
WOW! I have no words anymore. I think nobody can play this piece as well as You did. There comes pure emotion out of this notes, which You show only by Your disciplined kind to play. I like the part when the pedals give angry answers. This performance will run around the globe, I am sure. I should nevermore publish my own trippel-trappel.
Thanks for the comment! My Allen's primary value lies in its high quality walnut case, which is worth around $5,000. However, to replace this 30-year-old organ with an identical new model from Allen would cost well over $40,000. If you are looking for a practice instrument for home use, I'd recommend a Hauptwerk system, which can range in price from as little as a few hundred dollars to thousands.
Me encanto tu interpretación, es fresca y alegre. Además para los que no estamos acostumbrados, es muy interesante ver ese movimiento de los pedales... muy difícil. Saludos
@organgoesheavy Thanks SO much for your kind comments! I'm glad that you really enjoyed this performance. Oh, organgoesheavy, please keep publishing your music on TH-cam. Your music is very enjoyable!
Excellent playing of this great work, sir. I grew up attending several performances of Virgil Fox, and he always stated that "you walk along" while playing the pedals. Very good !
Tim, that was excellent. It will be a joy when you have the Hauptwerk system installed. Your playing has become extremely good. I just listened to you playing Schübler Chorale Wachet auf BWV645 in Palmyra on the 43 rank Parsons pipe organ. Good stuff. That old Allen pedalboard could pass for an old tracker soon lol
Thank you for your comment! I realize the shortcomings of this 30-year-old instrument's tone quality (it is currently being upgraded to Hauptwerk software), but, without this organ having been in my house for the past few years, I would not have been able to achieve my current skill level.
God bless you in heaven, Timothy. May He and Bach take care of you forever more. Thank you for your kindness and your Music; in my name and in my sister's! 💙💚💟❤💛💜
@robertgift Thank you!! The organ is an Allen 632-D from around 1980. Alesis reverb units have been added, and the pedal division has been replaced with more modern digital ranks.
Impressive!!! Esto.. es hermoso definitivamente, hermoso sonido, buena coordinacion. Excelente!!!! :) Jamas habia tocado uno de estos organos, you are my inspiration now...
Bach demanded the feet like other composers to the hands, awesome, beautiful, excellent, wonderful, sublime, cogratulations Master!! Sorry, mistakes at the end you see only...
Thanks very much! I am eagerly anticipating the completion of the Hauptwerk conversion; there's virtually no limit to the musical potential of Hauptwerk software.
When I was young, I played many (13-15) instruments, but the organ was not one of them. It's truly exciting when you can play an instrument and make beautiful music with YOUR FEET. The entire concept is simply mind-blowing. And you make it all sound SO GOOD!!! :)
...... i have no words.... bravissimo.......brava.....
Feel the joy and sense of triumph in this masterful performance,,,well done.
Thank you!
One of the best recordings of the BWV532 fugue ... excellent pedal work!

We enjoyed too briefly, the magnificent talent of a young musical prodigy. Our loss, Heaven’s gain.
2:50 gives me chills
The trill/improvisation at 2:37 is just so good
