Thanks for writing! I feel this harpsichord is perfect for the Buxtehude aesthetic, however it was built about 9 years after his death. It is quite possible that Reincken played it, however. The Flemish instrument on the painting featured in this video which belonged to Reincken is essentially the only evidence we have as to the kind of harpsichord Buxtehude would have known. I do love the Hamburg sound, though.
The North Germans tried to emulate Froberger in many ways - composing canzonas, suites and toccatas for harpsichord as well as the organ. Although Froberger was never in Hamburg, his music was well-known there - not least because of Matthias Weckmann.
They really loved treble…. That’s one thing about many of these works they’re shrill to my ears. Thank god for the low pass filter! I mean incredible instrument and playing as well. It was just a shock after the previous piece.

Schön nach der langen Restaurierung das berühmte "Fleischer Cembalo" so kunstvoll gespielt zu erleben. Danke vielmals !
Bellisima musica y extraordinaria interpretacion.!!!!!¡¡¡¡
So here is a harpsichord that Buxtehude might have played, sounding brilliant under the fingers of MF. Just wonderful!

There is a beautiful Hass clavichord in the same museum that also has tortoise shell sharps.
