My country don't have many basketball coach same go to the basketball's books !! Seriously. I love basketball but I know just a little thing but if you're not a pro player in my country you cannot find the coach to teach you. You really help me gain more knowledge. Thanks !
D'Antoni's 7 Seconds system just gave me a thought: in some of the illustrated sets, the center is located outside of the perimeter. Could it be possible that he can disguise a center as a shooting guard to create mismatches and multiple opportunities? Pau Gasol is capable of shooting the 3, but he rarely does it. Dwight Howard has done it before, if only one time. Is it possible for the system to transform every player into a spot-up shooter? So many 3's, so many weapons. They're unstoppable.
Good break down, and i like how it could be run with his traditional, but D'antoni already said he was going to make a special hybrid of the offense for the lakers that was slower than the typical Sun's offense but still uptempo. From the sound of it, it can work, though nothing is better than actually seeing it in practice.
Coach, what system do you prefer to coach a average college team? we have a good point guard but our height is below average, what kind of offense should fit?
great stuff coach nick, keep these videos coming ! how do you believe that Kobe will adjust to that system ? He's not that great with his off the ball movement...
Last night MWP was 5-10 from three point land ... if he can more or less keep up that kind of shooting, he could be a valuable part in D'Antonis system, given that he'll be wide open more often than not.
This is the most talent stacked team Mike has ever coached. If he can't reach the finals with this Lakers team then it's doubtful his system can reach the finals at all.
great breakdown Coach. I had no idea D'Antoni's sets were so fruity. Do you think the time spent on the Princeton Offence will benefit the players coming to terms with D'Antoni's system at all?
I think the offense fits perfectly the personal the lakers have. It's pretty simple, but if executed well, it's very hard to guard. But a little more variation would be good, especially for the play offs. Probably something with a ucla cut or a high post feed..
EXACTLY! All of these laker fans keep blaming the coach for it, blame the players. I also think D'antoni's coaching effect will be the same as Mike Brown's because of the team's chemistry.
great video, I assume we all love the offence, but are there enough good 3 point shooters in the lakers to space up the floor? I'm not sure and I think teams will rather have MWP open and with a zone defence consetreted in the paint it'll be hard for the Lakers to score. and because of those high pick and rolls they will have to change the lineup a bit because Pau and Dewight are too much in the paint.
Coach, could you make another video updating us on what's going wrong with the Lakers under d'antoni? I really hope Nash being gone is just the reason, but there must be more to it than that.
Do you remember that in Mike's system it was Shawn Marion hitting 3s from the corner? I think Metta can convert at least as much as Marion. I think they're a bit old too, but D'Antoni isn't stupid, won't tire them down. And remember that he is very respected by players having been the 2nd coach on USAB team with Coach K! Nobody was listening to Brown anymore, that was plain obvious to me
Looking back at his failure with the Knicks is that his system is effective with the right players. In 2010 when Amar'e was in his prime, the Knicks were rolling with D'Antoni, but then the Melo trade depleted the team, instead of adapting to new players he insisted to make them play his system. He also needs an above average PG with great passing abilities to make his system work.
Wow coach, you predicted it.
Gasol failed so hard in this offense, basically like this video implied he would
Dom Didn't expect to see you here, love your channel bro, only 3 years late 😅

Timely! "Liked" and featured on SB Nation's channel.

Notice how everyone rotates while metta just watches all the action lol
What country are you in?
I'm certainly anxious to see what he's talking about!
Nice!
This just made me LOL!
Nick you are sow swagged out.
Nice SPACING. I think we can all agree were gonna need that in LA. DAMN!
Coach, what system do you prefer to coach a average college team?
we have a good point guard but our height is below average,
what kind of offense should fit?
I think Poppovich is the best these days. The Spurs play passionately and with great intelligence.
good job :)
Just a question how do you get your footage of old games?
lol the open shot for melo is a hand right in his face. he is a real scorer man
0:45 gotta love the nash hair lol
I gotta keep up with the D'Antoni Express!
Coach Nic, can you please make a breakdown showing the differences of the past and present NBA defense?
Good video
hey coach nick, i was wondering if you would do a breakdown on the GSW up's and down's?
hey coach i have a question? what should`ve lakers work on? a solid D or Offense?
Coach, would u have jamison as ur starting SF or Metta? I feel like Jamison would open up the floor alot more allowing dwight to get going early.
Hey coach, just wondering who you think is the best coach in the nba and why?
good video
when is that video coming out
Great question - Nash, Kobe... Blake (ugh)... MWP (argh)... Meeks is a really good shooter and will fit in nicely
I hope D'antoni works out because Phil Jackson just got thrown under the Buss.
Thanks for the fast upload coach. I always enjoy your videos.
Good idea.. we'll put it on the board
I see coach Nick got the tunes now. What song is that?
Thanks.
Why doesn't every NBA team coach offense like D'Antoni? His offense looks so clean and easy on tape.
whats the song in the vid??
You're welcome!! My pleasure
what's up with the song in the background? :P
Hey coach, do u think the lakers will still reason with Phill Jackson?
You also said the same about the Princeton Offense. It looks good on paper, but will it worK?
Coach do you think Nate can help the Lakers on the defensive end?
great stuff coach nick, keep these videos coming ! how do you believe that Kobe will adjust to that system ? He's not that great with his off the ball movement...
I know my daughter would tune in to that one. She's frustrated they don't show the cheerleaders at halftime
woah incredibly fast response vid to today's news!

2:48 nice choice for clip of amare going to work XD
great breakdown Coach. I had no idea D'Antoni's sets were so fruity. Do you think the time spent on the Princeton Offence will benefit the players coming to terms with D'Antoni's system at all?
the song is called?
I promise we'll get to the Warriors ASAP!!
Had they actually ran the Princeton offense, we would've known if it worked. What they did was a mess - and it was still top 10 offense.
lol kobe has been averaging 6 apg the last 6 games...
and only attempting 17 shots a game...
so tell me how he is a ballhog?
Coach nick would u please breakdown nuggets offense under George Larl
Do you think the Lakers have the shooters/bench to actually last a full season?
I'm a triangle offense guy, so I would never say it wouldn't work... but it ain't the offense that's gonna decide if the Lakers win it all...
I also think D'antoni's coaching effect will be the same as Mike Brown's because of the team's chemistry.
lets hope they get a decent assistant coach good at D.
Any suggestions, coach?
You might be right!
Thanks. Don't hold your breath. Sounds like they keep changing his return date.
hey coach nick, do you think Lakers will trade Pau? how about Pau for Josh Smith?
great video, I assume we all love the offence, but are there enough good 3 point shooters in the lakers to space up the floor? I'm not sure and I think teams will rather have MWP open and with a zone defence consetreted in the paint it'll be hard for the Lakers to score. and because of those high pick and rolls they will have to change the lineup a bit because Pau and Dewight are too much in the paint.
yes!

Yeah, it FITS.
coach nick is it bad the lakers hire antoni or good
Not going to lie, this seems exciting. :D But i hope it results in a ring by June..
didn't you make one of these for the princeton tho? LOL that worked well...
Do you remember that in Mike's system it was Shawn Marion hitting 3s from the corner?
I think Metta can convert at least as much as Marion.
