i have a question, sir. how did the vowel in เปิด come to be? is it a shortened version of another because of the final consonant? because i don't remember any เ◌ิ in the diphthongs😅
"The เออ vowel is a monophthong and follows a rule. When เออ is used without a final consonant, it's written as เปอ. However, when a final consonant is added, like in เปิด, -ิ is added to the initial consonant. There's an exception when เออ is followed by ย as a final consonant, like in เลย (Loei Province), -ิ is not added." 😁
