Brilliant Teacher - who is very well informed, well researched, providing students with slow repetitive simple language translations and tonal usage. Well done Jack!
Good video. But you should really help us understand the difference between below and back… LAANG sounds the same to my ears when you use each in a sentence. I know the tones are different but it’s not easy to hear in real time. Thank you.
Kru Jack I am loving your videos..Can I please ask you a question ❓ .One of the first expessions I learned in Thai was "hong nam yoo te nai" (where is the toilet) How do I say I need to go piss ?
There are various ways to express I need to go piss, but I suggest using the phrase "bpùad chèe" (ปวดฉี่). In Thai, "chèe" (ฉี่) is another word commonly used to mean "pee." You can say "bpùad chèe hông nám yòo năi" (ปวดฉี่ ห้องน้ำอยู่ไหน) "need to pee, where's the restroom?"
You can use both. ที่ไหน (têe năi) is a more formal and complete version of ไหน (năi), which means "where" . It can be used to ask about a specific location and to emphasize the question. ไหน (năi) is more informal and can be used to ask about a general location.

What’s the Thai word for “kitty-corner”. By the way I love all of your language videos! You explain things clearly!
kitty-corner in Thai is yúaeng(เยื้อง)(high tone).
bâan yòo yúaeng gàb dtà-làad บ้านอยู่เยื้องกับตลาด
The house is diagonally from the market.

Is it correct to say “Paw yoo ti baan”? Khob kun krap🙏😁
Wich one is correct? Tee nai or nai? Or we can use both?
