The fact that Dave can sing this song while playing that crazy fucking riff is insane. That's true talent.
singing whilst riffing is hard, my brain either makes my voice follow my hand or the other way round… i can’t separate them 😂
i’m wondering if dave has this to some extent, it sounds like he sings when he strums
the guys a fucking legend either way!
Yeah that is a weird riff to play cleanly, at least for me. No way I could sing over it, lol.
@@seancunningham4462 Same!
I've been playing guitar 40yrs and to sing over that riff is insane🤘🤘🤘
its not that hard just has to practice
THIS was their most badass lineup, ever! RIP Nick Menza
Menza was beyond awesome
Totally agree🤘🤘🤘
RIP Dave Ellefson's right hand
@@light-bearer-1 😂 damn 😂
@@mac227booms Yes. We always knew he was an incredible drummer back then, but only with time his talent and gift can be truly appreciated. Megadeth have always had great drummers, but he was truly a cut above.
This album is considered to be the best thrash album of all time. Every song is a banger
It’s definitely up there
Start to finish!
Best Megadeth lineup 👌
RIP Nick Menza... You f-cking rocked it.
"She-wolf" live from the Rude Awakening tour will blow you away with epic solos, trust us!
Yes, this is Amazing
Yes!
I showed it to him idk I'd he will react to it. DID it on live stream
The thing with Mustaine isn't that he has the best voice you've ever heard. It's just that it fits Megadeth's music so well from the JCM 800 Marshall's to the dry drum mix. They just have a sound like no one else that's raw, refined, and musically complex.
Megadeth was the loudest thing I ever heard!!! My ears rang for three days!!
Great isn't it?
I've seen them five times, dude! 🖤🤘
Daves voice matches the music perfectly imo
Metal isn't about the ability to sing ...it's about ATTITUDE...that alone will always carry you through.
Especially when it comes to thrash metal.
Killing is my business ... and business is good. A complete banger.
One of my favorite Megadeth tunes,I saw them live front row back in February. It was amazing. And it was a mosh pit lol🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
In My Darkest Hour(live)
She-wolf live Rude Awakening tour...some of the best live thrash performances ever by any band...absolutely amazing
Megadeth - A Tout Le Monde
My ears are still ringing from their 2000 tour.
Dave's voice suits Megadeth, since he writes the bulk of the band's material. I couldn't picture anyone else snarling like Mustaine in Megadeth, same like Hetfield for Metallica, Blitz for Overkill, Araya for Slayer, etc; it's part of a group's sonic identity as much as a certain guitar part or drum beat, the sum of its parts.
It’s one of the most perfect songs ever written
Megadeth with the song 'Mary Jane' at Essen 1988 concert is cool😮 Dave has it playing a double guitar!!
One of the best songs of all time, in any genre.
Dave’s life and career has had some twists and turns since this recording. His voice started to go downhill in the 2000s and wasn’t able to sing a lot of songs, and then he had throat cancer a few years ago. He beat cancer, and since then he’s been getting his upper register back, and they’ve been adding new songs to their live shows that they haven’t played in years. It’s pretty inspiring.
He’s also mellowed a lot. He’s 62 and a grandfather. He’s riding high of his 16th album, just had an incredibly well-attended tour in Latin America, and seems to be enjoying life.
I saw Megadeth live in 2010. That tour was the Rust In Peace 20th anniversary tour. They played the whole album live, start to finish, plus a few other songs after. The concert is on TH-cam in a high quality official production, plus there's a live album. Worth checking out.
Love watching you get all pumped and excited to music I love. Seeing people 'get it', you know? Many hear music but not everyone FEELS it!
I am lucky enough to have seen Megadeth a few times back then and sure it’s this tour Pantera was their support act. That was a tour.
Easily my favorite Megadeth song. Proud and thankful to have heard them play it live and in person twice! At age 17 and again when I was 48!
Coincidentally, I watched Dave and Megadeth perform this song live on stage, last night. My twelfth time seeing the band in concert since 1995. It still sounds as good now as did back when it was recorded
Molly... Listen to TORNADO OF SOULS""LIVE VERSIÓN BY MEGADETH 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love your reactions to all this "old school" music. I recently came upon a live recording of Black Gives Way to Blue, which is a tribute song and a goodbye Jerry Cantrell wrote about losing Layne. And he basically poured all his pent up grief over the loss of one of his best friends into this short but beautiful song. There is even an interview he did saying he was sick with migraines and some weird illness when he was in the process of recording it, he went to doctors and they couldn't find anything. But once the recording was completed all his symptoms went away. He's been so private about that loss it was incredible to hear that, because grief and pain so often turn physical. Anyway, I know you love AIC too and I know this is the band without Layne, but I've not seen many reactions to this particular song, and literally no reactions to the live version. I wondered if you wanted to be one of the first. Here's the link, I would LOVE to see your reaction th-cam.com/video/3nw6GS358Yg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=w3mJaaddgLhKnk3R
I wish I could go back and watch this touring lineup again. Probably the best concert I’ve been to 🤘🏻💥🔥🙏🏻💯
Keep them coming MATE!!!
One of my favorite Megadeth songs/ favorite songs period.
Megadeth are currently on tour right now playing Hellfest in France. After that they will be traveling to Spain, then Portugal, and then they fly back home to tour the U.S.! I got my tickets for the Concord, CA show at the Toyota Pavilion. I saw them live there last time and they kicked ass! It's gonna be a fun time all over again!
Best song
Live or Studio every time I hear this song it gives me goosebumps🤘
Prayers For Storm From Florida 😊 Praying for a Quick Recovery and Feeling Better !!
REACTING TO MEGADETH LIVE !!! YEEESS!!
Gosh please react to Hangar 18 live at Hammersmith, honestly it's the best
I saw them live with this lineup in the 90's, absolutely killer show.
This is my second favourite Metal song of all time. So Iconic. If you have not done Peace Sells or In My Darkest Hour then they are a must. Peace Sells has one of the most iconic bass riffs in all of metal.
Next one: “Megadeth Wembley 1990 live” the tempo that they play in 1990 is insane in live shows you’ll love it
Megadeth, Megadeth, aguante Megadeth.
Holy CRAP wars dude. What an insanely awesome live and the sound was so clean and that intro tho my goodness. Dave is just outta this world with this performance.
I have seen them live several times. I saw them last in September last year. They were just as great then as they were 30 years ago.
Oh shit that's a good one
Saw this tour when I was a senior in high school. Almost exactly as I remember it, except instead of organ music at the beginning, they pumped the sound of helicopters landing through the PA system. My brain was already swimming from Suicidal Tendencies opening for them and having my nose broken (for the first time) during their set, so it was a little extra surreal.
I was there mate, right near the front , amazing.
This is one of Dave's Best.work. ❤
I seen this concert with this line up and it was KILLER.
Wow!! Between this and Metallica I think Megadeth edges it out for me. I’m still Team Megadeth confirmed after today’s reactions. Thanks for helping me settle the debate in my head.
Musically the always win
They both rock
I never liked the battle between them both... Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer are beast in their own way 🔥🤘🏽🎸🔥
That band was kickin it behind Dave! That drummer was going crazy back there!!
From the same amazing album.. "Polaris - Rust in Peace!" Such a kick you in the face song! Dave's guitar solo in Holy Wars is my absolute favorite guitar solo of any song by any band.. It is just so amazing!
Greatest thrash line up ever.
My first-time seeing Megadeth was their Wake-Up Dead video on Head Bangers Ball, I couldn't stand them. Then a couple of months later I went to see Warlock who were opening for Megadeth, long story short one of the best live shows I've ever been to.
I was at that gig. It was amazing. Pantera were the support act. I still have the ticket stub. Wednesday 30th September 1992. It only cost £12
Amazing song and amazing band❤❤. Rust in peace is one of my favorite metal albums.🎵🎸
... Back to the thrash / metal ! 🤘
Nick Menza (RIP) and that drum kit! absolutely brilliant. The lineup at this time was killer.
Saw Megedeth 2 times on the Rust in Piece tour and also saw them on the Cash of the Titans with Slayer, Testament and Suicidal Tendencies. great times
🤘😝🤘 the studio was fire. I saw them with Testament, and Priest in 92 they all melted my face.
Wow Testament. I'd forgotten all about them, saw them decades ago and they were fantastic at a concert in Edinburgh. Another trip down memory lane for me this afternoon and I thank you for the reminder........cheers!
I saw Stone Temple Pilots open for Megadeth in 1993 on this tour. It was a fantastic gig.
Dude keep killing it! On your live streams have a vote on each song please.
Hola, ashes in your mouth live Hammersmith odeon 1992.🎸🎵🎶🎵👌🏼
yes!
In your last Boston reaction, you said you liked long intros. You need to listen to 'Good Mourning/Black Friday', an earlier Megadeth song with Dave and Chris Poland taking turned soloing throughout the song. With the first two albums, it is easier to hear who is soloing as Chris' and Dave's guitar tones are different. The raw energy of the song makes it one of the top early Megadeth classics.
THIS!
I've watched this performance so many times, and I never noticed that transition between Marty and Dave. It was actually pretty good. Had to be kind a rewind it a few times too
MEGADETH
Line-up 1992
Dave Mustaine: Lead Guitar, Vocals
Marty Friedman: Lead Guitar
Dave Ellefson: Bass, Backing Vocals
Nick Menza (R.I.P.): Drums
Cheers from CHILE!!!
Awesomene performance. More Megadeth please!!
I saw them at the Patriot Center in Washington DC, in 92. Glad all these shows are recorded. Good memories. Lol
She Wolf live 🔥
This is my favorite Megadeth song!!
They sounded great. I'm not into all the intro concert stuff before they start playing, but they shred this masterpiece live.
Dave's the master of riffing and singing at the same time. Now, go and listen to the album version AGAIN.
This was the classic Megadeth line-up that recorded their biggest albums from 1990 - 1998: Dave Mustaine (vocals/ guitar), David Ellefson (bass), Marty Friedman (guitar) and (the late) Nick Menza (drums)... It's a pity I never got to see this version of Megadeth... the first time I saw them was in 2001 w/ Jimmy DeGrasso (drums) and Al Pitrelli (guitar)
Dave Mustaine vocals came from a mix of Alice Cooper (who became his godfather and mentor) and Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols. He was not keen on being a singer but he couldn't find a vocalist in 1983/ '84 who could match his intensity.
As a live band... regardless of who is in the band, Megadeth is Dave Mustaine and anyone he brought into the line-up had to deliver the songs like the records ... and his songs are often technical and very difficult to play live... whereas in Metallica, they were a bit more raw and in-your-face. Metallica is a dual rhythm guitar band w/ Kirk Hammett handling the intricate leads... Megadeth is a dual lead guitar w/ 2 contrasting lead guitarists - Mustaine would play the screeching loud leads... while guys like Marty Friedman, Chris Poland, Jeff Young, Chris Broderick, etc. would balance his aggression w/ more melodic leads.
I've seen Megadeth live 4 times ..I first saw them in 1992 along with Pantera in Glasgow on the Countdown to Extinction tour then in 1995 for the Youthanasia tour 1997 Cryptic Writings tour then 2001 for the world needs a hero tour absolutley amazing shows and in my opinion between 1990 and 1999 was when Megadeth were at their best ...Great reaction 👍
Those toms from Reckoning Day will never stop ringing.
Check out the live version of this song at a concert in argentina, the crowd is insane
Hey dude I hope you're having a good Fourth of July🎆 Rock on🎸
freeking awesome performance...have never seen this one...they di this DEAD NUTS ON the studio version...perfect. GREAT breakdown of these guys.
i saw that line up(best ever rip nick menza)that year on that tour but in the birmingham NEC,they were unreal molly
Dave's vocals in the 80's and early 90's are insane. Started losing his voice in the 90's which is why he wrote songs to suit but to be expected when you play n sing at high intensity.
YES DAVE IS A AWESOME ARTIST...VERY MUCH A LEGEND..GREAT JOB !!!
3:04 right there, that shot right there. You cannot help but feel the surge. I wish we got a bit more shots of the crowd to see how crazy it got there, but man, the electricity you can feel throughout its entirety is not manageable whatsoever lol.
Saw Megadeth live a couple times. Both shows were fantastic. 🤘
As for your playlist issue, honestly, multiple playlists are the way to go. It'd be weird to have a Queen pop song followed by Megadeth or something like that, plus it makes it more likely you'll hear the song you want to hear.
MEGADEATH will always be legit.
BEAUTIFUL CREATURES "GOING OFF"
When Marty Friedman joined the band , EVERYTHING changed for them. They became THE best thrash band in the world !
Check tout le monde. Its surely the best singing performance by Dave.
Megadeth and slayer are so good live !
That’s why they’re my favourite bands
If you’re not good live that means you’re not good - simple
I miss the days when Dave would give Rikki Rachman a hard time on Headbanger's Ball
Haahaa.....I was there!!!!.....I had hair back then😂😂😂😂🎸🎸🎸.....ears were ringing for weeks after😮
A must see live performance by Megadeth is She Wolf - Rude Awakening Live.
You'll blown away
Far away
Into the wood
And never came back
😅
She wolf rude awakening.. Jimmy de groso on drummer and al pitrelli guitar... Best line up megadeth ever.
With live Megadeth, the music is usually spot on, unless you watch some of the 80's shows where they were often f*cked up or the recording of the show sucked. Dave's voice can be hit or miss, especially on songs like 'Tornado of Souls' which is higher in Dave's vocal range. On those higher songs, his vocal will go out at times. Love Megadeth live. I got tickets for their show this August. I don't think Dave will quit touring until he doesn't have a choice, but I make time to see every show which passes close enough for me to go see until he does.
I don't have a problem with Dave's voice; I don't really understand why people hate on it, but everybody has their opinions.
Megadeth isn't one of my bands, but I do like some of their stuff...this song, for sure. Mustaine is an icon in the metal world for certain; he's an insane guitar player, and I think it would be pretty tough to argue the impact he's had on music.
Tornado of Souls is also best here..and Marty Friedman solo...amazing performance..Megadeth fan..
if you like this thrash metal stuff, you gotta listen to "Bloodlust" by Venom, they pretty much invented thrash metal
The greatest song ever, give their latest track 'We'll Be Back' a listen.
Megadeth's best line up and era with Marty Friedman and Nick Menza.
One of my brothers was there 🤘🏻🤘🏻90’s love Megadeth just hits a bit different 🤘🏻
Crickets between songs when I saw them at Pine Knob in the 80's . Appropriate.
You some how chose one of the best eras of Megadeth, 1992 was so cool (the members and stuff) and esp this concert, the recording, the sound quality etc is one of their best. Great choice and reaction. Right after this tune they start Hangar 18 without saying a word, just like the RIP album. Sick!
More awesome riffs in this song than most bands write in there whole career
Wake up Dead 2010, Sofia, Bulgaria. The Big 4 show.
ALSO VOLBEAT " DEVILS BLEEDING CROWN" You will love it
Grow it, you know you want to! 😊❤
