In certain circles "Rust in Peace" is considered the holy grail of thrash metal albums!
I'll definitely have to react to those!
Megadeth..."Hangar 18"
Thanks for the suggestion!
@@palskee hangar 18 from the same album REST IN PEACE
I saw the world premiere of this video on Headbangers Ball in 1990 when I was 18. When Marty starting soloing it was quite a game changer. Nobody else sounded like that he brought a whole new lead guitar language to metal table
Bro, Megadeth is mandatory metal.
Indeed. I've always known about them, I just never got around to listening to them. More Megadeth reactions on the way!
@@palskee I’d suggest adding Anthrax to the list as well.
@@shmick6079 Done!
Dave's last solo in this song melts people's faces 🤘 Have fun going down the Megadeth rabbit hole, buckle up, hold on, and enjoy the ride🤘
Oooh can't wait! Thanks friend!
Good morning black Friday
'Good Mourning/Black Friday' you'll see what true 80s intensity sounds like
Can't wait! Thanks!
My favorite Megadeth song of all time is Lucretia, off of Rust in Peace. The groove, plus the solos... Masterclass in metal.
Seeing them in Houston Aug 3rd can't wait!
I bet you've heard "Angry Again" you just don't realize it
Imma be there too!
@@Punctureofficial hell Yea 🤘🤘🤘
Nice! Have fun! Who knows haha I may have!
Yes sir! Head on back to the old metal!
For sure! :D
The conjuring
As a youngster in the 1980s I loved Twisted Sister and would watch MTV for hours on end waiting for one of their videos to play. About 40 years later I discovered their live at North Stage concert on TH-cam and was absolutely blown away by how well they performed on stage. At least check out the opening song of that show called “What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You”
I'll add that to the reaction list. Thanks!!
"Head Crusher"
Gotcha! Thanks!
These are the bare essentials from the 80-90's era, you can't claim you're a metalhead if you don't know at least those albums :
Metallica : Ride the lightning, Master of puppets.
Slayer : Reign in blood, Season in the abyss.
Megadeth : Rust in peace.
Judas Priest : Painkiller.
Iron maiden : Number of the beast.
Also, my personal pick of other albums to check :
Sepultura : Arise, Chaos A.D, Roots.
Iron maiden : Seventh son of a seventh son, Somewhere in time, Powerslave.
Metallica : And justice for all...
Pantera : Cowboys from hell.
Helloween : Keeper of the seven keys part II, Time of the oath.
Another band to check, not really metal (more like hard rock) but still absolutely essential old-timer to know : AC/DC (but you certainly already have heard some of it, at least Back in black or Thunderstruck).
And finaly, not metal at all but essential for any guitar lover : Pink floyd.
First song on the legendary Rust In Peace album. Might as well keep going on the album. Every song is absolutely perfection
Hell yeah!
Top 3 metal album of all time for sure
It's a perfect Metal album
A must listen to is "Sweating bullets" by Megadeth 🤘
You gotta check out “Peace Sells....but Who’s Buying”........EPIC!
Will do!
Greatest metal song ever written, FIGHT ME! Lol
If you wanna hear this song live, I highly suggest Live @ Hammersmith ‘92. It sounds exactly like the studio version and Dave & Nick go friggin’ ham; you won’t be disappointed.
Haha!
"Good Mourning...Black Friday"
Thanks for the suggestion!
@@palskee if you thought Holy Wars rocked, Black Friday is gonna blow your nuts off!
The Conjuring from peace sells.
Tornado of Souls.... One of the best solos in metal
Thrash Kings!🤘🏻 (Fan since 86')
Even their most recent albums are killer.
Sweet! Can't wait to catch up on more!
Oh yeah..."Go to hell" another absolute banger! 🤯👍
Set the world on fire!
Afire
Great Megadeth reaction! Gotta add Devils Island to the list! Subbed🤘🏻👍🏻
Done! Thanks for the sub!
Tornado of souls!
Just a heads up if you choose to explore the rust in peace album, the remastered versions of the songs are way way worse. The original versions are leaps beyond better. (Megadeth is my favorite band)
Also my personal favorite and recommendation from the album would be five magics. But in all honesty it’s just the greatest metal album of all time imo. Not a bad song on it.
Don't worry, I'm gonna be reacting to the original versions :)
In my opinion Holy Wars, Hangar18 and Wake Up Dead are the three best Megadeth songs. Wake Up Dead has an absolutely amazing transition in it that you are not expecting at all, kind of like Holy Wars. Hangar 18 has some of the most insane dueling guitar solos you will ever hear. Born in 73’ and have loved metal my whole life. Saw KISS for my first concert lol…
Nice! My Dad loves KISS and used to play them for me on this record player we had when I was little!
Welcome to Megadeath!
Thanks! Lovin em so far!
Megadeth the conjuring or wake up dead. Savatage-Hall of the Mountain King
Thanks for the suggestions!
On the positive side, I get to watch you react to a lot more songs by Megadeth (hopefully). Megadeth my all time favorite band. Song suggestions,....lemme see,.....well, the entire album Rust in Peace is a must listen. Classic/fan favorites include Symphony of Destruction, Sweating Bullets, In My Darkest Hour, Peace Sells,....But Who's Buying?, Wake Up Dead, Angry Again. Additionally, I suggest the song that finally won a Grammy for Dave, Dystopia. There are more for sure but that should get you started.
Awesome! I will definitely be doing more! Thanks for the feedback! :)
Try Tornado of Souls and Hangar 18. Amazing instrumentals.
You got it! Coming soon.
Lead singer Dave Mustaine was Metallica's first lead guitar player they kicked him out for substance abuse
They kicked him out because of his unpredictability and meanness while using said substances. They were all doing it. Dave just got venomous.
Check out Death. Chuck Schuldiner was a god. The albums Human & Individual Thought Patterns are great places to start
Enjoyable. Its weird being an older dude watching younger dudes jam to stuff you dig.
Or people from alien (cultural) backgrounds, but its strangely satisfying.
Anything from Peace Sells, Rust in Peace, Pantera or Slayer (especially the obscure tracks on Reign in Blood like Jesus Saves) I'll watch. In Fact there's a lot of unmined songs on all those big albums. Reactors seem to go for the already trodden ground.
Where as there's so much left virtually untouched.
Glad you enjoyed it! Feel free to hit me with suggestions such as the ones you have already. I'm making big list!
If you like those squealy’s you should check out some Shadows Fall. My Demise is a good one!
Yes, next Hangar 18
Noted! Thanks!
Do yourself a favor and listen to the whole RIP album, epic!!!
I'll add it to the list! Thanks for the comment!
The middle part of this song is about Frank Castle aka The Punisher. Hence the punishment due
Listen to tornado of souls next!
Megadeth...Peace sells(but who's buying) title track. Trust me. 🤘🤘🤘
Hook In Mouth-next or maybe Good Mourning/Black Friday.
I'll add them to the list. Thanks for the comment!
@@palskee thanks for the reply. MegadetH=Guitar Supremacy.
Great detail in every note.
Hook in mouth is one of my favorites
PLEASE LISTEN TO MORE MEGADETH GOSHHH
More reactions in the works!
Should try ashes in your mouth great megadeth track
I'll add it to the list. Thanks for the comment! :)
When you take a trip down the Megadeth rabbit hole, you will never be the same again. Megadeth has put out both great Thrash and Heavy Metal. If you like 'Holy Wars...' then check out 'Hangar 18' with more solos than most bands put on an entire album, 'Take No Prisoner', Thrash which doesn't quit or 'Lucretia', the riffs laid out with a killer groove feel then ends with two great solos. With older Megadeth from the 80's, the songs are rawer and they grab you by the short hairs and kick you in the ass. 'Wake Up Dead' , 'Devil's Island', 'Good Mourning/Black Friday' and 'My Last Words' off the second album are musts to listen to eventually. One thing to remember when pulling up Megadeth, most of the Remastered versions are not as good as the original albums, so try to stay away from those.
I have listened to Megadeth since enteering my early teens, I am now in my mid thirties but, I get ear fatigue and burn out after listening to a few songs, with the one exception of being United Abominations - that album I can listen all the way through. I think there are better examples of 'short-hairs gripping bands', for example: Toranaga, Myramainz, Fallen Angel, Forced Entry etc. That is just me though
Ok i'll check out the original versions! Thanks!
Listen to the whole album ''Rust in Peace''. Legit 10/10 album. PS dont react to 2004 remasters and the Hangar 18 music video (because it got cut short)
Already made the music video mistake but I'll be uploading my reaction to the original soon. I'm staying away from the remasters
Go listen to this entire album straight through right now
I would but I like the suspense of doing them one by one lol. I'll eventually get through the album. I think I'll do separate reactions but go the whole way through.
Great reaction! what is the name of the background song from the start of the video?
Thanks! The song is "Shroud Clown" by - Dillon Knighton. It's a downloadable track from Epidemicsound.com I have an account there so I can use the music there for my TH-cam videos. I don't think it's an established band lol. Probably just one dude
Looking down the cross , black friday or my last words , set the world afire ( theres a short instrumental called into the lungs of hell thats the track before it that plays as a great intro ) and five magics i think are the best songs off the first 4 albums
Five Magics is a VERY underrated song.
Please more reactions to the Rust in Peace album. Testament the New Order album released in 1988 is a great choice. I can't imaging my teenage years without 80's thrash.
For sure I'm doing more and I'll add your request to the list also! Thanks for the comment!
My favorite concert I think it was 91’ was Clash of the Titans (Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer) and it was amazing! 🍺🥴🤘🏻Anyways you should definitely check out more Megadeth. ‘The Conjuring’ was always one of my favorites.🍺😁🤘🏻
Sounds like a kick ass time! I will for sure check more out. Thanks for the comment! :)
LISTEN TO TORNADO OF SOULS , HANGAR 18 and take no prisoners from this album, it will fucking melt you
Real metal
It is the real deal, that's for sure! 🤘
Great reaction, I recommend from the peace sells album “my last words” or “devils island” also from the rust in peace album probably “take no prisoners” or “tornado of souls” 😎
Thanks! I'll check one of those out soon!
My last words is such a great song.
Hahahaha You just saw no.1 song in metal history . Job done , now You can die in peace 😏
Whew! What a relief lol! ;)
Megadeth's catalog of heaviness is unmatched. Sorry Metallica.
Oooooh! Shots fired! lol. Thanks for the comment! :D
👍💯❤️
:)
u need to listen to tornado of souls bro:p good reaction!
Thanks! Oh it's coming don't worry lol. Working my way down the tracklist of Rust in Peace.
Dave is a beast on guitar and they are just as good live. I am so glad he was kicked out of Metallica because we get Metallica and Megadeth.
Do Hangar 18 and Tornado of Souls by Megadeth
So true! I just uploaded A Hangar 18 reaction. More on the way!
do tornado of souls
And to think Metallica kicked Dave Mustain out of the band. Thankfully he created megadeth. Good band to go deep on. I hope you didn't miss pantera. Good luck dude
Yeah ikr! I heard a lot of Pantera but there are some tracks I haven't heard. I'll have to react to those soon as well! Thanks for the comment!
"Peace Sells" is an essential Megadeth song from '86
I'll have to react to that one without a doubt!
Now do some Slayer or Exodus..or Testament
I'll definitely be reacting to these other bands soon don't worry. I've heard a bunch of Slayer!
TesTamenT
They are still cranking out new stuff
Nice!
Metallica - Creeping Death
Gotcha! Thanks for the suggestion!
She Wolf. Duh
SHAME ON YOU!! for shame!!... no but seriously, I've been a big fan of Megadeth since "97...
Wake up Dead...
Thanks for the request! :)
Also highly recommended King Diamonds Abigail, Them, & Conspiracy
Added to the list! Thanks!
Just remember to listen to the ORIGINAL version of this album. The remaster SUCKS.
Yep! Will do! :D
