Come on, seriously CT you got to finish your projects. Look at MikeFn garage and Demop Garage, NovaScotia Barndoor and Kona the bus, They finish stuff! You were pretty close with the 65 beetle then sadly you switched gears again and started another thing. What's stopping you? The quality of your videos is great though. You got talent and you are likeable and funny. Please finish a project 🧡
I agree with you and I've been doing a lot of thinking on this and trying to figure out why...Some sort of trauma I guess... If I could go back and do things different I would. All I can do is try and be more proficient moving forward. I appreciate you sticking around. Let's what happens. 😎😎😎
@@CTmoogI know I have the same issues ct. I think just a video on what you are doing currently on crusty and the other beetle, this would suffice. Maybe some driving videos and what’s going on with them would be awesome!! Cheers man! I need to update my stuff too! lol!
that plasma cutter will come in handy to remove the pan halves. Watch to make sure you cut back from the weld edge. then peel off the old pans with the air chisel. roll them up like a can of spam!!!!
This car reminds me of my old Beetle "Frankenstein" which had a '73 pan, '63 drivetrain, '68 body parts, European turn signals, and a mishmash of junkyard parts of unknown year. The more I dug into it, the more rust I found. But I kept at it until it was solid. This one is going to be fun to watch.
I’d double check your vin#. 1966 was the first year of balljoint. Maybe it’s an early 66 or late 65. The fat side trim is correct for 65 but not 66. Just throwing it out there.
That's interesting...I didn't know that. So maybe that is the correct beam? I assumed they replaced it because it was In a fender bender at some point.
Excellent video CT :) also this VW Bettle be interesting to on this fix up and plus much more too! Yes be hot 🔥 in my area of Ontario Canada and so bad I sweat more than years also to also couple days took my breath away bad ! Also Lol CT a vechile restoration couple years took me lots work under were farm and body meet had so much Rubber plus Tar mix on it took me 4 weeks do chisel and scrape work to do ! I hope this doesn’t offend you ct but I love putting on these videos when I can’t sleep and falling to sleep watching them and this one is even better with the rain sound in the background You should change channel name to unfinished projects as a f u to all the people crying about it ha
Hi guy. I really enjoy your content but I do not understand the timeline of your projects as you do not finish no one of them. Georgia beetle - awesome metal work but..sitting on the garage. Ford pickup truck, the red one, not any further video, any sign of life of the beast? And now you're just starting Alabama beetle... we just wanna see your vehicles back to life, and on the road. Think about it.
This is Alabama or Georgia? :) Where is that crane from the workshop? The previous Beetle was easily dismantled with that... or the one in outside the yard? (The chained one)
This is Alabama. They are both 1965, the same color with similar patina. haha! I took the hoist to my house for some things and forgot to bring it back.
Hello, I'm from Brazil and I have a Beetle too. I saw that you use a maintenance book, could you give me the title of that book, so I can do some research and buy it. I really like your videos, congratulations.
got a question for you if you know? The generator doesn't have two post like the one in my book. just 2 wires and they connect to the aftermarket 6v regulator. the two post on the rear end facing aft if it was in a car the left post with the small wire is mark FLD which I assume in my book would be D- and the one on the right is marked 61. There is a post on the regulator on the fwd right marked B+ and from what I have read is where the positive lead from the battery hooks up but also shows another large battery wire from that same post to the starter if it was in a car. I just have the generator still in the doghouse on my workbench try to test it to see if the generator spins with the battery or not? I got sparks but no spin? not sure how to test it with just these two wires? I tried just the large wire to positive to battery and just grounded to the gen case. just sparks. any ideas?

he doesn't know how to weld metal. and he doesn't know how to do the groundwork for painting. all cars are left unfinished.
CT love watching your adventures but are you ever going to finish any of your projects???
Thanks buddy! Yes, hopefully one day! Does that include new paint? 🤣
@anthonylatronica5108 will you post a link to your own restoration channel and your own projects.. Maybe a link to your finished cars as well.
Wonderful, friend. Long live the Beetles. hug here from Brazil.
Thank you! 😎😎😎
This is my favorite part - dismantling ❤❤

use a set of needle nose vice grips and roll them up as you peel them off.
Yes Mike! Thanks man! I've used that trick before. I learned from watching you! =)
Yesterday I checked to see if you had a new beetle video. I'm looking forward to the details😊
Thanks my friend! 😎😎😎 I always enjoy yours as well. You are Next level!

I keep asking myself the same question... I think I'm starting to figure it out. We'll see....=)

Thanks my friend! Yes, the patina looks great on this one! =)
@@CTmoog I agree!
Whats about your other 65 beetle? Greetings from germany! Fred
Hi Ct
You can take all of the rust off this car. As it easy. And repaint.
Damn…that thing is sorta rough!
