- So Eddie spills the beans to Iris that she destined to become Iris West Allen.Although I am glad these two are finally broken up,there is something off about how Eddie is acting unnaturally zen towards this entire thing.He isn't even putting up a fight to keep Iris,he just let her go and wasn't upset with her or Barry at all.What happened down there when he was the RF's prisoner?

mwanamke2 Haha. Yeah I thought about it, and I wouldn't want him becoming a full out villain. It would totally mess with Iris' head and therefore may halt Iris & Barry unfolding romance. She'd be so racked with guilt for being the key factor in his changing, that it may make her afraid to move forward with Barry. I'm done with this triangle drama. I want Iris to move forward clean from Eddie, work with the scooby gang, have some fun witty scenes with Barry (with some love sparks flying in between), and be happy again. I miss happy Iris. I'm sure she'll need some recovery time with just having broken up with a man she loved deeply, but I'm ok with that. But nothing more complicated than that, lol. Way I see it, Eddie's out of the way and Iris has been released from that committment. She seems to have finally let him go, so I like the clean break she has to just spend time with Barry and let things evolve naturally. But I agree about her knowledge of marrying Barry being tricky. I wish she didn't know, but at least even after knowing, she still faught for Eddie. So we know she doesn't quite believe Eobard. Or at least in destiny. I'm curious to see how she'll act around Barry but given she was in denial when Eddie told her, I'm hoping she'll just continue to believe she chooses her own destiny. Cause she does...she just doesn't know it's Barry that she eventually chooses. I'm really looking forward to the finale but moreso to season 2. Now that everything is out there (knowing Barry is the flash, being a part of the scooby gang, they both confessed their feelings for each other), their scenes will only get more compelling, meaningful, & emotional...can't wait!

Rick Cosnett did say Eddie will have a huge (possibly dark) shift in his character down the road now that he's discovered his future with Iris is non existent...
So it's not far fetched to think he might become a darker man as he watched his worst fears come true after seeing that byline. He did punch Barry the last time he thought Barry was out to steal Iris. So it's now becoming a reality that Iris will eventually choose Barry...To have to watch them slowly become an item could drive Eddie to a darker, more jealous, and possibly a vengeful route...guess we'll have to wait and see.
***** I've come to accept that some people will understand/accept/love westallen as a couple, some will understand them as brother and sister, and some will dislilke/hate them together period. It just depends if the fans feel they can connect with the onscreen couple. I can. I am not really similar to either of them, but I just love their backstory. I love that they grew up together and that they are best friends. Barry reminds me of my husband. And he and I are best friends. That's how I connect with WestAllen and a big part of why I root for them. Their chemistry is also very palpable and it makes me curious to know how their dynamic will change with Eddie out of the picture.

If Iris and Barry were never together, she’d never b the key to Savitar’s ascension and so he’d never exist, so actually Eddie held the power by either killing or not killing himself, and tbh he didnt really need to, cuz as Savitar said, cause and effect- Thawne’s still kicking about
The Flash Actually, if he didn't shoot himself Barry could've died. I know Thawne's still running about but that was before he caused his unexistance. He needed to exist to cause his unexistance. Even if Savitar wouldn't have existed if that were the case, that wouldn't really matter because Reverse-Flash was probably about to kill Barry anyway.

She felt the need to be with Barry after Eddie died cause “It’s her destiny.” On the first date she yawned and they have nothing in common. If Barry wasn’t the Flash she would probably never seen him again. And the engagement was on and off and finally they got married. They still have Couples therapy. In a normal life before you get married, you go to couple’s therapy if you have issues to even see if you guys can get on track and work out your differences. But nope. And she still is always nagging at Barry for practically everything. Barry is in a toxic relationship with her but he is still with her cause he’s “Obsessed” with her.

Sarah James No, the Reverse-Flash that showed up in Season 2 was one where he hasn't caused his non-existence yet, as he needed to exist to cause it. I don't know about the one from the crossover though. But the point remains, his death wasn't meaningless, he saved a lot of lives by dying. But that was made meaningless after flashpoint. Thanks a lot Barry.
The potential this show had man.. Season 1 = amazing, Season 2 = amazing almost better than season 1
Season 3 = started out strong but fell flat, but in my opinion it really isn’t that bad.

The fact that Eddie believed Thawne makes me so disappointed, especially as the future in the show is not exactly set, as they keep reminding over the seasons on the show. Honestly, as much as I love how it turned out, I would still like to see how it would of turned out with an alternative storyline with maybe Eddie & Iris & Snowbarry. Maybe via some sort of alternative Earth. Also, I think it could still happen even after Crisis on Infinite Earths. Especially how another reminder states that everyday, every decision and choice you make, makes an alternative timeline. In other words in the Arrow verse another Earth. 😀👍
Honestly, if Eddie and Iris's relationship had been strong, he wouldn't have believed Thawne. Eddie was already uncomfortable with Barry and Iris's closeness. As a matter of fact, Eddie had already told Iris that he had issues with her and Barry and Iris's response was, "Barry is going to be a part of my life." He should have dumped her then. Clearly Barry was more important to her than Eddie was. The writing was on the wall; Thawne just highlighted it for him.

Knight Rider Chemistry is subjective. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I can't speak for Olicity but Candice Patton got her job based on her chemistry screen test with Grant Gustin who picked her to be Iris himself. Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns and the CW president Mark Pedowski all agree and highly praise their chemistry so do the fandom polls and media critics.

I did genuinely like Eddie but lmao Iris wouldn’t have jumped off a building for him. They had so many problems in their dynamic tbh I wished Eddie had survived and had just joined team Flash. Him and Iris had the least amount of chemistry ever I feel like it wouldn’t have been even hard to pass the awkward stage after Barry and Iris got together. And him and Barry could have been great friends.

This upcoming episode she and Barry are gonna have a team up. This past episode she saved Barry from Nora. Iris does a lot.

There could have been so many episodes of Barry and Iris coming together, relating as boyfriend and girlfriend, becoming lovers, instead of wasting time with Patty. I watched the flash seasons 1-5 two times, and the Patty scenes are the only ones I fast forwarded through. I even liked Linda, because she has a legitimate purpose in Barry's life -- to stoke jealousy in Iris, thereby arousing her feelings for Barry. The writers understood this, but did a poor job in its execution.

God it feels so weird now that iris says "Dr. Wells abducted you". It felt right at the time. Now, after so many different wells, it feels just plain wrong.

That reverse flash isn't alive, but the original reverse flash before he killed Barry's mother has to still exist to keep the timeline balanced. The reverse flash time remnant was created when Barry pulled reverse flash out the time line and held him captive.
thats the problem wih seeing the future. for him he believed it so he ended it. you know how many times barry has seen the future, did he believe it no. he faught for what he thought was right and didnt even let the future deside it for him. thats the difference between barry and eddie. barry is obv the better man.
