Tommy, along with Morecambe & Wise and The Two Ronnies were the biggest & best comedy acts of the 1970's & early 1980's.

I’m not sure if he died the way he wanted to die being laughed at and applauded till his last breath or that he died in front of literally millions of people (England only had 4 channels in 1984) and didn’t die in private. People often forget Tommy was a great magician pretending to be a crap magician
