Scotland vs. Hungary Suspended After Serious Injury to Barnabás Varga

- SCOTLAND'S defeat to Hungary was paused after a potentially serious injury to Barnabas Varga.
The striker collided with Scottish No1 Angus Gunn and medics rushed onto the field to help him.
Sheets were brought out to cover Varga with several team-mates including Dominik Szoboszlai seen in tears.
Uefa showed a wide angle replay during their coverage of the 1-0 defeat but did not show any close-ups of the incident.
The BBC apologised for the clip being shown - they use the feed from the host nation.
Varga was carried off the field on a stretcher, which Szoboszlai helped carry onto the field, as both sets of fans applauded.
Hungary striker Barnabas Varga was described as “stable” and in hospital in Stuttgart after he was knocked unconscious in a horrific mid-air collision during his team’s dramatic 1-0 victory over Scotland.
Varga left the field on a stretcher after the sickening clash with Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn, which occurred as both players challenged for an aerial ball in the penalty box.
Varga was caught by Gunn’s elbow and instantly collapsed to the turf, leading to a delay of almost seven minutes.
The BBC have claimed they were 'shocked' that UEFA opted to show a replay of Barnabas Varga's sickening collision in Hungary's win over Scotland.
The match was stopped for around seven minutes after the Hungary forward was knocked to the ground following a collision with Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn in the 67th minute.
Varga and Gunn had both challenged for the ball from a free kick in the penalty area, with the Scotland goalkeeper's elbow appearing to connect with the forward's head.

With scores locked at 0-0 in the 69th minute, a Hungary free-kick saw Gunn collide with two opponents as he looked to clear the ball.
Hungary striker Varga endured a scary moment as he horrifically collided with Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn and defender Anthony Ralston. Varga appeared to be out cold and was treated on the pitch behind a blanket curtain before being stretchered off but was later reported to be stable in a Stuttgart hospital, needing cheek surgery.

If you watch it back which i have done several times, he was standing after the incident then went rigid (note hand positioning) fell backwards and was having a seizure!! I know my daughter has epilepsy and does exactly that
I was watching it and the player went down before gun went out of his goal to clear the ball
If a German player suffered this, it results red card plus penality.......UEFA and their referees are far from the equality

That was the worst injury I ever saw live but when I saw it he got knocked out onto the ground out of no where and got sent straight to hospital as he broke many bones in his face and had a serious concussion

Covering the victim with sheets has to be one of the weirdest phenomenons of the modern world.
