I was in shock in that 5 minutes, I immidiately thought of the Eriksen situation... After this the team out of nowhere started fighting like their life depends on, they fighted for Varga Barnabás! And that goal in the 100. Minute... I Will never ever forget this moment when everyone jumped in the pitch who could, and everyone holded Varga's kit up high after the match! Incredible TEAM!!!! proud to be a hungarian🇭🇺🇭🇺🇭🇺 this team spirit is why we can cause surprises to the big giants sometime! No big stars but incredible heart!!!

Watched the game with my Hungarian girlfriend as a frenchman it truly was a game to see live. WE were geniuenely crushed in the last minutes but I COULD FEEL IT WAS HUNGARY's to take. And I remember so distinctly that when medics did go onto the pitch, they were literally walking. How out of touch do you have to be to not care for another humans life? This is such an ignorant statement. The people with blankets were covering the medical personell working with Vargas. If you look at the broadcast the medical personell, specifically the physio and doctor of the Hungarian team, were at Vargas literal seconds after the players were there. Secondly yes they were walking, because that is what they are SUPPOSED to do, running in sneakers on a grass field can easily lead to accidents, in fact just search on youtube to find cases where they slip and fall when running. There is even a video of a physio accidentally kicking a player in the head because he slipped. Even in "normal" circumstances they are taught NOT to run, seriously stop talking about stuff you clearly know absolutely NOTHING about. The level of stupidity you find in the comment field on youtube make me scared for humanity.

This was a lovely reportage, the beautiful gesture that you invited two young ticketless fans to join you in the arena with hospitality was the cherry on the cake. The Hungarian player's injury is a serious one, his cheekbone has broken, there was worry by his teammates that he was going to black - out, which would've required the player to be resuscitated, that was the reason for all the commotion, but luckily the worst hasn't happened, although he is out of the tournament for sure. I think the players should be taught basic first aid. Had this been a neck injury they could have made things much worse by moving him. Not only that but there is a picture of the players most likely trying to keep him from "swallowing his tongue" (which is impossible btw) by putting their hands in his mouth, while he had a broken jaw....

Karma for Switzerland by just parking the bus. They should have lost as germany had a goal disallowed for the slightest of touches beforehand, but then on the other end two penalties were not given for them which were pretty clear cut.

I think the players should be taught basic first aid. Had this been a neck injury they could have made things much worse by moving him. Not only that but there is a picture of the players most likely trying to keep him from "swallowing his tongue" (which is impossible btw) by putting their hands in his mouth, while he had a broken jaw....

Karma for Switzerland by just parking the bus. They should have lost as germany had a goal disallowed for the slightest of touches beforehand, but then on the other end two penalties were not given for them which were pretty clear cut.

That’s probably because they didn’t cause it and have nothing to apologize for. It was an unfortunate accident arising from a 50/50 challenge that can happen at any time on a football pitch.

No one said it was intentional, but after it happens out of sportsmanship and compassion, a "get well soon" is usually wished to the injured party.
This was no small injury, the player could have died on the field but the Scottish team completely ignored the situation, now that's the problem...where is the spirit of fair play for the slightest crumb of human compassion?
Griezman and the French national team also wished Barnabas Varga well, they didn't even know Barnabas.
After the game was asked the Scottish goalkeeper about his collision with Varga Barnabas and he asked the reporter back, who is Varga Barnabas? That is just plain insensitive.
You can be sad after the game, but this level of insensitivity is not acceptable.

Not a penalty. This Scottish team have specialised in initiating contact to try to draw fouls. Its about the only thing they actually did apart from pass it to their goalkeeper.
