    Had to stop watching after the Japan / Spain one. The fact that you omitted the crucial bird's eye view that shows part of the edge of the ball was over the line (and thus the ball was in), and instead only showed the ambiguous clips to make it seem more controversial, is just deceptive.

    • @markball406

      The whole ball must be over the whole line

    • @jaxsonbateman
      @jaxsonbateman 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @@markball406 Exactly! There's the graphic that shows the ball was veeery slightly over the line, meaning it didn't go out.
      Don't get me wrong; it absolutely looks out if you don't have that birds eye view, but when you see it you know it's not controversial at all (now, you could argue the rule itself is controversial - I don't, but I could imagine some people would say "if the ball isn't touching the line it should be out" - but with the rules as they are combined with the evidence, there's no controversy).

    • @islahartel9304
      @islahartel9304 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

       the video is about controversial moments. The video isn’t providing an answer to the moments just the moment and why it was controversial. At the moment, all we had were the views shown. It wasn’t until later we found out they had goal line technology and VAR confirmed that it was still inbounds. This was still absolutely controversial. There’s nothing deceptive about calling this a controversial moment.

    • @jaxsonbateman
      @jaxsonbateman 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      @@islahartel9304 I'd argue it wasn't controversial. It's only controversial if you don't show the birds-eye clip - which the channel conveniently didn't do. If you show that clip, you see that the ball isn't entirely out. Ball not being out = still in, so the call of it being in isn't controversial at all.

    What really gets up my nose is when referees or assistant referees make a mistake, that is quite obviously the wrong decision, they usually get away with it, yes they might get a slapped wrist or something else that is not really a punishment, and yet when the players get angry and upset because of the referees mistake and challenge the referee or line runner, they can be booked or sent off, and if the FA decide to have a disciplinary hearing they can be fined or suspended, okay the money is nothing for the players in the highest level of the leagues but in the lower tiers it could make a huge difference to the player/club, but if a player gets a suspension then that hurts their reputation and pride, something that they do not like at all, it just seems extremely unfair and one sided,

      They wanted to set up the ball and pass forward immediately to surprise but he got in the way and kicked it to give time his teammates to take their positions back. Not a red though. Yellow maybe.

      @@lemonacidrounds7293 I know that's the reason given, but it's not what happened. The other player threw the ball at Rice's feet, and he kicked it out of his way. There was no intent to interrupt the game. Stupid decision.

    No, Oliver just gets lumped with humdingers. Cause he's actually one of the best. The extra controversy this brings doesn't help his reputation unless you understand what's what. With great competence comes greater responsibility. 🕸

    There’s no card for Messi handball vs Netherlands but the ref gave a free kick only bc there was promising attack in the middle of the field. Using google since it’s free helps. Admin of the account won’t know the rules tho.

    Saka throws his leg out at the goalkeeper and then cries to the referee they it’s a penalty. Good call by the referee to not award a penalty for that.
