Had to stop watching after the Japan / Spain one. The fact that you omitted the crucial bird's eye view that shows part of the edge of the ball was over the line (and thus the ball was in), and instead only showed the ambiguous clips to make it seem more controversial, is just deceptive.
@@markball406 Exactly! There's the graphic that shows the ball was veeery slightly over the line, meaning it didn't go out. Don't get me wrong; it absolutely looks out if you don't have that birds eye view, but when you see it you know it's not controversial at all (now, you could argue the rule itself is controversial - I don't, but I could imagine some people would say "if the ball isn't touching the line it should be out" - but with the rules as they are combined with the evidence, there's no controversy).
the video is about controversial moments. The video isn’t providing an answer to the moments just the moment and why it was controversial. At the moment, all we had were the views shown. It wasn’t until later we found out they had goal line technology and VAR confirmed that it was still inbounds. This was still absolutely controversial. There’s nothing deceptive about calling this a controversial moment.
@@islahartel9304 I'd argue it wasn't controversial. It's only controversial if you don't show the birds-eye clip - which the channel conveniently didn't do. If you show that clip, you see that the ball isn't entirely out. Ball not being out = still in, so the call of it being in isn't controversial at all.
It is controversial if only the ref made the wrong decision. And the ref did the right one and has given the goal to Japan. Nothing is controversial there
Var was bought in to help bad referee's make better desicions, but it's just highlighted how bad referee's are because even with the tech they still make bad decisions.
Nothing wrong with that first one. Walker had plenty of time to run and get back into position, but decided to slowly jog back instead. Also the Suarez handball wasn't controversial. He got sent off for it. Not his fault that Gyan missed the penalty
@@lifeofvirtue1833no he wasn't. He had a good 4 or 5 seconds, maybe even longer after talking to the ref to get back. But he decided to jog and got caught out

Nobody really knows what the handball rule is, they've changed it so many times it's just confusing to everybody now. A player doing a jesus in the wall isn't hand ball but a player with his arm down and it bounces off his knee and hits his hand is.
There's a reason every news outlet ran with that angle too, it looks absurd with just one perspective. To this day some people think it was out and don't wanna be convinced otherwise.
What really gets up my nose is when referees or assistant referees make a mistake, that is quite obviously the wrong decision, they usually get away with it, yes they might get a slapped wrist or something else that is not really a punishment, and yet when the players get angry and upset because of the referees mistake and challenge the referee or line runner, they can be booked or sent off, and if the FA decide to have a disciplinary hearing they can be fined or suspended, okay the money is nothing for the players in the highest level of the leagues but in the lower tiers it could make a huge difference to the player/club, but if a player gets a suspension then that hurts their reputation and pride, something that they do not like at all, it just seems extremely unfair and one sided,
Even Arsenal Haters kno that Rice red card was harsh n wrong.. but they will never admit it.. just imagine d same scenario happening to a player of a team they support..
