Howdy! Hope the AutoEdits family dig this new vehicle... could be a lot of fun. I will do a more in depth test drive video and explain how I "accidentally" acquired this fun little Rover! Here's a link to the Amazon shopping lists...please snag a set of gloves or something useful from there... it helps me out! www.amazon.com/shop/autoedits
Welcome to rover ownership. I just sold my 2006 Hse with 240k on the clock. It was a super fun rig, would go anywhere I wanted it to. Definitely costly to repair, and repair I did often. Arnott air springs are the way to go when it’s time.
What a buy! Surely, that is easier to use in the SoCal stop-n-go than the ever-faithful manual Jeep. You've also found an example that belies the notion that British cars can't survive past, say, 100,000 miles. I dare say the previous owner(s) were as fastidious with maintenance as you are. This is a total win-win! Aloha.
Nice accidental acquisition. Now that basic maintenance items are done, what's next? I know. 35" mud tires without lift. Since it has air bags, it's easy. Let's go Jason!
HA! Don't think I didn't take some measurements...🤣 I promised myself I would keep it more city friendly than I did with the Tahoe... we'll see how that goes!
Thanks so much for asking! It's been really slow for me to get started this year... no big commercials but I did get several days on Beverly Hills Cop4 which was fun.
Congratulations on the new vehicle, I had a 2010 I bought used with 80k on it that I owned for 4 years before trading on my JKU. Oil extractor definitely makes the oil change easy. Overall, no major issues with mine. Had a transmission shifter connection bushing I had to replace ($45) where the vehicle would come out of drive and not know what gear it was in. Easy fix. Only other item I had to replace were a couple composet coolant fittings on the front of the engine and did the water pump while at it. Other than that just routine brake job, new tires but nothing major. Transmission fluid change was kind of a pain, but if you get the replace pan with the separate filter is very doable.
Hi Jason, I just rediscovered your channel as I am shopping for an L320. Congratulations on the new car, it looks great, clearly it was well kept! Has the timing chain every been done on yours? Suspension bushings?
I'm really loving this thing... such a wonderful vehicle to drive. I don't know about the timing chains and will just hope for the best for now and there are two new lower control arms but it's still got the original air struts.
@@AutoEdits Thank you so much for your response. The suede interior trim coupled with the impeccable condition of your car truly sets it apart. I have looked at numerous examples to purchase and none of them have come close to how clean your example is. I look forward to seeing more content with it, the canyon driving shots were awesome!
Thanks Jeepin Jason, I always refer to your videos for the tire rotations! By now I’ve seen them quite a few times👍🏼 Also, still have not been able to beat your perfect oil change challenge!!!
HA! I'm glad you are even trying! I wasn't even thinking of that and this range rover change only required two paper towels and was extremely easy. I'll bet with the vacuum pump it's even easier!
These are such cool rigs, even with their quirks. And hey, now when you roll up in style to your next audition! I mean, not that the Jeep doesn't have lots of style, but its a bit less "hollywood" than a Range Rover :)
Sweet new Range Rover! My mom has a 2012 L322 HSE with 5 L V8. It’s a great truck but the service bills are shocking. Keep an eye on the timing chain, this is a known issue and it is an extremely expensive repair. Be thankful you live in California because these trucks hate cold weather.
Welcome to the dark side 😂 popular vehicle over here but there's some downsides. The air suspension is very versatile and comfortable as long as it works
No I sold it over the winter to shrink my footprint and less than three weeks later my sister gave me the Range Rover so here we are. The young dude that bought the Tahoe is already out wheeling and camping in it so it's in a good place.
@@AutoEdits Hey man! The good news is that you're handy, so I'm confident you can handle it. Just keep your fingers crossed that it won't cost you a fortune to keep it on the road. We'll get through this together!

Cool new rig….i did not have great luck with Land Rover but several people really love them. Great video as always 👊🏻👊🏻

Great vid man, I hope you do a lot more I have a 13 sport as well and want to learn to diy on it. Thanks.
Anything we can see you in coming up? Super bowl commercial?

You wrench a lot harder than I do, but I prob would've hit those rotors/brakes while you were 80% there..love your videos!
I don't have the brake kit yet and really wanted to do some inspection and try out the rear parking brake fix... which ended up being a huge win!
I have a Jeep too and am also planning to add a full size (2010-2012) Range rover SC to the fleet. They scare me a bit but I love the brand.
I get it now for sure! I'm hoping that with a little mechanical DIY it should keep the costs down.

Awesome to hear this! I am looking forward to a few mechanical adventures but not too many ... LOL

Oh I'm kind of nervous for sure 😂 But this thing is so much fun to drive!
no doubt youll be able to fix anything that your faced with
One does not accidentally acquire a Range Rover lol. Whats the story? XD
HA! It was my sisters vehicle and she kinda gave it to me LOL. I'm a very luck dude. I'll go more into how it went down in the test drive video.

HAHA! I just can't believe how fast this thing is and how unbelievably comfortable. I'm getting spoiled over here.
Sick ride jason! Rolling in style 🫡
I'm LOVING it! 🙌
Should be a fun ride. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. Exhaust will certainly cause that V8 to sings to the ears a bit more!
Can't wait!
👍

Good info, thanks!
I don't even own a Range Rover but I always enjoy your content.
Well now... I appreciate you very much! Thanks for the support.

HA! I'm enjoying every minute behind the wheel.
Sweet new ride🤙 Always great to see you in the garage.
Thanks 👍 I appreciate hearing that!
Nice new-to-you ride! Glad to hear the Jeep is good to go. ✌🏼
Thanks! Yeah, it feels super good on the road... almost good enough to do another video on guesses why it runs with a little more pep 😂
Nice RR Sport
Thanks! I'm really digging it!
Awesome new daily! Looking forward to the series especially on drain/fill trans, rear diff...and just maintenance related. Merci
I love it a lot... thanks so much for the comment!
I preferred your Tahoe and the content you created for it. Do you still have it?
No I sold it over the winter to shrink my footprint and less than three weeks later my sister gave me the Range Rover so here we are. The young dude that bought the Tahoe is already out wheeling and camping in it so it's in a good place.
Crushing it! 👍👍
Thanks!
Very expensive vehicle for repairs all video I've seen on RR .
I've been watching some of those videos as well... yikes! I'm hoping that if I do the labor myself it will help manage the costs.
What happened to your old vette? What about the pickup?
Still have both of those. They get driven less at the moment until work picks up.
Where’s the tahoe? It was nice truck
It was. I sold it over the winter.
Nice work!
Thanks!
Last time I tuned you still had the Tahoe and the square body pick up.
Still have the squarebody.
First.
You got it!
OK, I'll not say anything until I hear your story!
Do you not like the Rover?

HA! I am a bit nervous about that.
@@Mohammed-80-M yeah. A RR is a hole in your driveway that you pour money into.
Where they parked one side was exposed to the sun.
But I show the cracks on the inside wall of the tire. I've seen sun checking before but this one is a little wierd.
