There is really 2 great miracles here. Anne Sullivan is a real Hero. She was only 20 when she start teaching Helen and she start from absolutely nothing ! She is the one that opened, for Helen, a door to the world. She literally brought light into the darkness of Helen's life !!! And Helen Keller doing so much starting with almost nothing ! Just WOW !!!
Helen Keller can be said to be the greatest, or one of the greatest persons who ever lived. She was a genius, an intellectual, and a leader of the highest order.
Helen was a remarkable woman:) Me and my wife watched a documentary on her last week. She went flying and was amazing:) Thank you for sharing her with us:)
I really love this video and the others you posted. This scene is so lovely and endearing..Helen Keller was a lovely old lady .And She had a marvellous smile.I think that she had a full life with many friends and it's thanks to her friends that she lived till the age of 87.She was strong, healthy but people always made everything for her ,and loved her.The music is so precious too.Thanks.Best wishes from France..Polly Thomson certainly was a delightful lady too.
Oh my sweet friend, This is so touching. Especially the part that shows Helen walking in her yard. I'm really looking forward to watching part 2. Thanks for this treasure!
Thank you for posting...trying to learn from important historical figures that I ignored when I was in school. I obviously knew about her....but not in full detail. What an incredible women.
Thank you for sharing this Absolutely beautiful video and the awesome music excellent performance and beautiful done love it. My dear friend Helen have a beautiful Weekend Warm hugs from my heart and much ԼƠƔЄ from Huggie xoxo
That's so inspiring how she kept faith in God, the Bible, spirituality, despite the great injustice she was given in life. She's truly an inspiration to others - no matter how difficult their situation may seem. She was basically a woman trapped in her body all her life, but she accomplished more than thousands of people put together - all while being optimistic, happy, and wonderful. She'll always inspire me
You said "the great injustice she was given in life." God is just. He can't be accused of injustice. Helen had to overcome mountains of adversity, but she was blessed beyond measure as well.
I once shared a meal with a blind lady. Her companion described where the different vegetables, etc were as if on a clock so she knew from where to eat. I have met many people who have adapted to a challenging environment through all manner of brilliant ways. Thank you for this further insight into the life of Helen Keller.
Stunning detailed film from Helen Keller life. Very impressive. I truly admire her in all she did during her life and how she managed to get by with all the things she had to do.Life was not easy for Helen. I am glad that Braille was invented so she could carry on with all her assignments. Thank you Helen for the documentary film. It is unique and special. Much enjoyed viewing...Best wishes from Zuzanna
Thank you for sharing this extraordinary filming with us. It throws me back to the realization that we have many senses we don't ordinarily use. Also, causes me to realize more fully how important human connections can be to our lives.
3:00 I have a terrible feeling that the branch in the walk was placed there by the film makers for dramatic effect. I wonder if Helen was informed ahead of time?
@1Nanalo - Yes, actually I have a lot of old film clips of Helen Keller on my channel. But it's surprising that we don't see more of Helen Keller's old film clips on television. Thanks for your interest. Have a great day! :c)
I love that Helen kept in touch with so many people, and important people at that. Such an important and kind influence in the world! Working tirelessly to make our world a better place! I also love our little communications with each other on TH-cam, sharing comments all over the world :o) I hope you're managing to stay comfortable in the Southern heat Helen! Best wishes from chilly Canada :o)
Hi Michael. Thanks for stopping by. It's a pleasure to see you here. Sorry for the delayed reply....I've been spending a lot of time in the garden. Soon it will be too hot to go outside, then I'll probably spend more time indoors on my computer. In the month of May, tornadoes are more of an issue than the heat. If we can make it till June 1st without incident...the worst danger will have passed. I suppose you probably have tornadoes in your area also. But perhaps later in the year. Warm regards! :)
@@IamHelenKeller WoW! May is tornado month there! scary times indeed! We had a famously big tornado rip through Edmonton in 1987 or 89. My daughter was very young. I was at home during the day. I was a musician then. I took her downstairs, on a little pad under the stairs. They said that was the safest place, in case the tornado hit. It went by our house about a kilometer away. People died in that one. My daughter will always remember it. We see tornados here, but rarely in the citys. That year, Albertans woke up to tornados permanently. Enjoy your garden Helen! But keep one eye on the sky!
Oh no - it ended! I can't wait for Part 2! This is really great - this documentary is so well done! It is not only informative with facts -- but it brings us so much closer to the real person! The more I learn about this woman -- the more impressed I am! Love your channel! Hugs Veronica :-) (sitting in for Bill)
Fascinating...god bless Polly for spelling out the newspaper! lol! I didn't know Helen lived in Westport CT...my mother lived there for years and I don't remember any talk of Helen having lived there too...but then it was so filled with the well known, it might not have been noticed enough to cause comment 20 years after HK's death...
