    I'm just so thrilled because I learned about her in school and I had no idea she was on video. This made my day, and some other ones on her. 💜

    An absolute inspiration! She clearly had such a good sense of humour and a great thirst for knowledge. I’m ashamed to admit I felt pity at first for her disabilities but I was soon smiling at how she viewed the world. Absolutely incredible!

    I love how happy she is and how she is able to know what somebody is saying by touching their lips or reading sign language ☺️☺️☺️

    In a challenging world where adversity can beat you
    at every step of the way and being in a world where
    you are unable to see or hear and yet you conquer
    all odds and become a remarkable inspiration
    to the world that your name is remembered to
    this day is testimony in itself.
    Connect two extraordinary people which
    involves a lady in a silent world and a
    remarkable dedicated professional teacher
    who broke the chains of silence you have
    two unforgettable pioneering names
    Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan.
    This interesting video is a great
    testimony that having beaten the
    odds beyond your capabilities and
    NEVER giving up we too can all
    conquer what life throws at us.

    The magic of watching Hellen Keller "observe" Martha Graham's dancers is the most fascinating and wonderful thing I've seen in a long time.

    A legend. To only experience this world through sensation alone. I almost wonder if it was a blessing in disguise. To experience the world through vibration and smell almost sounds delightful in this day.

    great video - I know these music sounds were normal back then and I know I am spoiled here but it sometimes is really unbearable...
    other than that Helen Keller was such an inspiring woman!!!

    • @jakegearhart
      @jakegearhart 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The way this music sounds was not normal back then. This effect is caused by the record either being warped over time, or being placed off-center in a record player.

    Great vidéo i love Helen keller but the quality is poor ..the sound and especially music has a bad quality like à record listened à hundred times.. The pictures are pleasant to watch however and there was harmony and a strong friendship between Helen and Polly Thompson.. Just try to find à more recent video of this movie. It would be more enjoyable..

    Does anybody know how she could afford living there. I don't think she had a payable job. Did her family make enough money for her to live at home and not in an institute. It's a blessing that no one took advantage of her. Usually if you are different than a "normal " person they treat you with ugliness and put you in an institute. Thank God that never happened to her. But how did she afford to live etc?

    • @caylefernorquina2709
      @caylefernorquina2709 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I can say that her family is well-off to be able to afford a private tutor for her. She may receive donations as well. However, she eventually lived well trying her best as a beautiful and inspirational person until her last breath.

    Jesus Christ this was boring. Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino could have made a better movie out of it.
