  • For donate www.paypal.me/... Helen Keller (1880-1968) was an American author, public figure, political activist and inspirer. Mark Twain said that in the 19th century there were two great personalities: Helen Keller and Napoleon.
Helen Keller called the world-famous joker Mark Twain a very sad person. She never saw him, did not hear him, only read his books, met him and and touched his face.
Helen Keller was blind and deaf from 19 months after birth. She lost these important functions for the development of personality when she was not even aware of herself.
At the time, such children were considered to be uneducated, but Helen's parents did not give up. They found a teacher for her.
    The teacher was Anne Sullivan.
This was the beginning of a great friendship. Anne was next to Helen until her death in 1936.
Helen Keller recalled that she first began to comprehend the world when she touched the water, and Anne wrote the sign Water on her palm.
Then Helen opened a whole world and by the end of the walk she knew more than 30 words.
Helen could read using Braille. She knew how to speak, but her language was understood only by the closest people. She recognized the world by touch, by smell, by the sensations that were physically accessible to her, by feelings, emotions.
The history of Helen and Anne became the basis of the famous play The Miracle Worker by William Gibson.
Later, according to the play, several films were shot and one of them win Oscar.
In 1904 Keller graduated from Radcliffe, becoming the first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Helen wrote books, traveled the world, met the most famous people of her time and even was a socialist. She did not consider disabled people to be people with disabilities, preferring to call things their politically incorrect names. She was against pity and beautiful words, she was for action.
Helen Keller did not see the light in the literal sense of the word, she was the light herself and, as I myself felt, remains to this day.
Life is short and unpredictable. Eat the dessert first!

Helen Keller was an extraordinary woman, there is absolutely NO doubt, but her teacher deserves all the credit in the world for her dedication, patience and love for Helen. Helen could never have achieved the outstanding things she did with out her teacher’s help. Both were amazing women.
