    Helen Keller is real person. In her life is tough and uneducated till this miracle woman taught her finger spell. Helen becomes better person and faces the difficulty in the world. Showing deafblind people can be in better life than being dumb or wildly person. In Alabama where I live about 3 hours drive from and I travel to her birthplace in Tuscumbia. I realize the surrounding towns from Tuscumbia - Sheffield, Muscle Shoals, Florence well known to Helen Keller and many buildings named after her. Including Helen Keller school in Talladega near Alabama School for the Deaf and Blind. I’m shocked schools didn’t teach about Helen Keller. I learned about Helen Keller when I was in 6 or 7 grades. Did saw movie back in 79. I think Melissa Gilbert play Helen Keller. In Google has lot of informative. Imagine if Helen Keller didn’t exist then Americans deafblind people would be lost and completely no accessible.

    I never even thought about the fact that Helen Keller was this “ideal” example of Deaf-Blind people but that does make a lot of sense. But even still, I cannot fathom anyone not believing that she existed at all. I know they don’t exactly teach about her in school anymore but it’s one thing not to know who she is, it’s another to deny her existence entirely simply because you underestimate her abilities.

      @@elicxcI’ll agree that it’s difficult to comprehend learning a language like that but…I mean…by your logic, no Deaf-Blind person could ever learn to communicate fully using a signed language. Which…they can so…

    • @elicxc
      @elicxc 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@cocops8 I know that there are people who are blind and deaf who have learned sign language and communication but none of them were born blind and deaf, all of them lost one of their senses when they understood what was happening, none of them of 1 or 2 years.

    • @cocops8
      @cocops8 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@elicxc I mean, it’s not like Helen Keller had zero language exposure, she didn’t become Deaf-Blind until she was a year and a half. And she didn’t learn exclusively in ASL either, it would have been a combination of things, plus, she had the alphabet. You can teach things like emotions and sensations fairly simply as well. Language learning is a complex process, my mother can’t even fathom how Deaf people learn to read if not by sounding out the words simply because that’s the only way she knows how to teach. And yet, she knows that it’s still done. The great thing about language is that it can be used to describe itself, once you have a base you can move onto more complex topics. I’m just saying, you can’t assume that she’s fake simply because you assume that, because you don’t understand it, she couldn’t have possible learned the way that she said she did. The human mind is capable of amazing things.

    It's interesting but alarming to know that people deny Helen Keller's existence. Even though that statement/theory is completely wild and doesn't make sense, it shocks me more that I (as a hearing and seeing person) have never realized how little representation of DeafBlind people and the community get. Was he born deaf and blind? There is a big difference in being born deaf and blind (or going deaf and blind as a toddler) then someone losing sight and hearing later on in life… that is what the conspiracy consists of, because there has been no other person since Helen who has accomplished so much, also it’s strange that after Anne’s death, Hellen never spoke publicly again.

    Not trying to take anything away from the deaf/blind community, but the theory is about someone being born deaf and blind (or going deaf and blind as a toddler) as opposed to someone losing both senses later on and accomplishing so much. Helen existed, but was a character used by Anne and a government as propaganda. It’s a great story, but is likely just a story, but no one having been born deaf and blind besides Hellen has been so successful with politics.

    Unfortunately, this channel is an example of what lack of education, ignorance and disbelief does - it is not satirical or funny. It is demeaning towards a woman who figured out how to understand, communicate better, and read and write after being robbed of her vision and hearing. However one thing that was genuinely fake about Helen was her “eyes” in her adult pictures. If you look at the pictures of Helen as a child, you’ll notice one of her eyes was protruding, due to side effects of the illness and as her eyes never worked properly again, they removed both of her original real eyes in her youth and then replaced both of her eyes with fake glass eyes. Otherwise, Helen was left intact. However the people on this video are genuinely liars and frauds.
