funny how you say it has a lot of pitting and rust yet it looks pretty good compared to most guns that have been abused.

the small barrel porter spring and it is easy to disassemble, you just had to force it slightly with a screwdriver/flat at the bottom of the spring it comes out easily and then you could take out the barrel porter

How did you get the loading gate spring out?

For a respiration, you really hacked it up. Especially since since you just used a flat head screwed driver to remove machined pieces from a 1892 revolver! Also, disappointed in how you didn’t mark the star extractor. Don’t you know that it’s machined specifically for each individual cylinder. Suggestion, look up proper way of disassembly before you make mistakes like this before. Especially on a piece that is so old!

Easiest way to find out is see which way it slides back on the nicest. For example I have a webley mark 1 cylinder and you can't mix up the way it fits together with the extractor star as it only slides in one orientation.

Cringing and cringing it's like watching a vulture with all its finesse none tear apart a carcass

Wasn't that bad. Unfortunately I don't see any other disassembly videos on TH-cam so it was only really the ejector knob and the set screw he was fiddling with, the loading gate too as the spring sits underneath it while the gate is open so you literally can't hammer it out which is kinda painful.
