@@alFeras_tell ​ @VT Its a different product but same idea. The ESD matt is just a grounded mat for working on but the ESD wrist strap is to ground you. Both work the same way.

Cool video! can you show us how you would set up a resistor in line to the cable (in what direction)i"m currently waittng for my wrist band in shipment, but i want to do an improvised one with a resistor!Thanks!

Thanks. Do you mean what direction would you put the resistor? Not sure if I understand. You can actually put the resistor in either direction (it has the same resistance either way). Just need to make sure you have conducting (wires) connected to the resistor (either orientation) and then wire. Make sure the wire does not bypass the resistor. Hope that helps.

i wonder about electrocution hazard , how this can protect you when the current can flow from L to Ground directly through your body ( as my feet is connected to ground ) ????!!!!!!!

Wrist straps are not for protecting people, they are for protecting sensitive components. Typically devices with sensitive components are low voltage anyway

im gonna build an expensive pc and i was planing to use wrist strap and buy an esd mat also, do you think the esd mat is not necessary in this situation or using wrist strap and the mat is gonna be better ?

If you ground yourself every time before you touch components you’re probably just fine while building it.
