  • In this episode we tear the old 350 apart to find that unfortunate blown head gasket from the first drive of the season.
Stay tuned as we upgrade this old 350 with #vortec heads, and #edelbrock rpm air-gap intake!

Good video. I got a 86 C30 and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to do this. Got some pretty bad oil blow by out of the tail pipes.

I need to do this to my work truck. I blew mine on my way to work due to a failed thermostat that got stuck closed. Mine luckily didnt get too hot to cause damage to the lower end.

Aren’t the Vortex heads for a 3.4 liter? Same block size I’m thinking.

Vortec heads came on 96-2000 5.7 sbc. 906 and 062 castings. Only difference between 906 and 062 castings is; 906 came on HD and 1 ton trucks, and had “hardened” exhaust valve seats.
