My mom and Grandpa took me to see him in 1989 or 1990, when I was like 6 yo. It was my first big concert and I got a new pair of black slouchy boots with fringe - thought I was too cool lol.

My mom shares a birthday with him but she was born exactly one year after he was. If George Strait was in concert anywhere within 200 miles of wherever my parents were living my dad got tickets every single time. Part of their early dating included a George Strait concert way back when he was just getting started. My mom went gaga for him and Dad took notes lol.
Thanks for posting and reacting to this song. This song came out in 1985 and is on his Something Special album. I have seen George Strait in concert over twenty times and this song has been a staple in all of them.

As for a reaction to a Country and Western song & artist, George is a nifty beginning, he was well admired, and definitely could bring #1 hits, & I'm talking many, many times over, especially when Country music made it's new sound and comeback from what Country music used to sound like. I could sit here and make up excuses for never liking country music period! I was to young? It was boring and old fashion? All that they ever sang about was sad & depressing songs, mainly about, cheating, drinking, losing someone, just sad and slow that pretty much sums up the old, old stuff...Yuck 🤢!! When music changed so drastically at the very end of the 80's, and when 1990 come, music was no longer considered what is suppose to be music, and if you haven't heard or reacted to Don McLeans song: "The Day The Music Died?" Of course this song was about Three amazing singers died in a single airplane crash. I reference that song to the year "1990!!!" Ok, back on track here, as I mentioned, you reacted to I believe, two George Straight songs, and also one George Jones song, oh wait, and Mr. Charlie Pride, and Craig Morgan. So maybe you've scratched the very surface of country music thus far. And I feel certain that you didn't even want to react to ""ONE"" country music song, or video being that you don't care so much about any "white music artist of any kind, even worse is most country artist are mainly white people. I hate to pull the race card on ya, but I've heard you say and casually and very nonchalantly, or dare I say, discreetly while trying to put into words on what your thoughts and feelings were about how during the late, late 70's and all through the 80's that the white singers and bands were always brought to the forefront during these era's of music. Here's when you gave yourself away, it was so damn obvious I seriously had to freaking snicker because you always feign your way through what you clearly want to say, and definitely feel! I don't care what another human on this entire earth says, I'm not racist, or prejudice they're flat out being untruthful!! Every single human on our planet in some form or way has some prejudice or thoughts about another color, culture, hell even about their own race! There's a huge difference between those of us that know better and have respect for one another, and at all cost use our common sense, and never know matter what, always show kindness towards one another. Just because we have a little bit of bias, racism, or what other ethnical issues that will differ among all people, doesn't amount to hate, revenge, or hurting another because they have a different skin color, or have extremely different ideas, what they may have been taught, or shown, heard terrible things being said about a certain race, (and this I feel is the worst thing a family member should say in front of their child/children who know nothing about why a parent/parent's would say such horrible things about different races, or where they were born and constantly put that particular races, or many other races in general. We must do everything that's in our power to always give no matter what color a human is, no matter their cultural difference, NO MATTER WHAT PERIOD!!! People are smart, even using little tiny missed remarks, most can and will pick up on these little innocent cute because as you are stressing your point you're using an appropriate laugh right at the precise time you need it to deflect what you are literally saying but in an almost kidding manner. Anyhow, I'll just say what I wanted to say in the first place, if you want a lot more subscribers, unfortunately but I gotta say it, " they'll in all likelihood be white's, you've gotta throw more okie-fied country music on your channel. This entire idea of having a reaction channel in the first place, is to discover, and give the people watching you & your channel the experience of seeing and hearing different music content, explore your musical horizons as they say!! Joe Diffie, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Colin Raye, Dwight Yoakum, Restless Heart, Blackhawk, Brooks and Dunn, Travis Tritt, Kenny Chesney, Patty Loveless, Martina McBride, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, ok this ought to get you started; thrown in one of these artist at least once a week, and take my word for it, you will see a growth spurt pretty much after a couple of country authentic reactions.
