I absolutely love King George, but Conway Twitty is the original OG Smooth talker! He definitely had a way with words LoL. "Hello Darlin" - "Tight Fittn Jeans" - " I'd Love To Lay You Down" - "It's Only Make Believe" - "Slow Hand" - "Don't Take It Away" - "Don't Call Him A Cowboy" ... just to name a few. If these songs were newly released in today's society, they'd get a completely different response/reaction than they did back in the 70s/80s/90s era. Great song and great review! 👑

George is the King.. Garth is as good but very different. George is ALL about the story. Garth is all about the fun.
Garth is too much Rock, where George is pure country. If George did a cover of friends in low places it would probably sound better than garth, there is a video where he sings boot scootin boogie and it is better than brooks and dunn.

I’m a country music fan and this is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard
Love this song. One of my favorites by far. My heart melted a little everything I hear it. Or really anytime I hear George's voice. Or see a picture/video of him for that matter.
I recommend you get on the Randy Travis train next though. Songs like, "Forever and ever amen", "I told you so", "Deeper Than the Holler", "Look Heart, no Hands", the list goes on and on.

I’ve loved this song since I was a kid, seeing the video for the first time as an adult kinda ruins it for me.
