- After countless rumors and speculation, it was finally enough to get me to make a video like this. I hate being the negative Nancy, but I sincerely doubt every Mario fanboy's dream is right around the corner.

I wish the Mario 35th anniversary is real because I never played super Mario sunshine on the game cube and I won't know where my copy is for some reason I haven't a game cube for 13-14 years I wish I could save up my money to buy a game cube so I can play super Mario sunshine I miss this awesome game so much 😭

Video game hype cycles are way out of control. If Nintendo doesn't make them people will riot because they'll feel like they were lied to (footnote: they weren't), and if they _do_ make them people will riot anyway because they'll never live up to the ungodly expectations they set for themselves.
It's _possible_ that the SMG games get the Xenoblade Chronicles treatment and just see a remastered port from the Wii to the Switch since they use the same engine and the Wii at least somewhat resembles modern hardware, but I don't get the feeling Nintendo thinks they "need" to do that. (Also, I see I'm not the only one who calls 3D World a "2D Mario with a third axis." :^))

I feel like it could happen. Because There's people that got things right in the past. Yes, paper Mario came true, and the direct mini came true too, which was a disappointment. Which some leakers are saying there was change of plans on Nintendo's end, now those same leakers are saying another direct is coming next month in August. I don't know if Mario remasters are going to come true or not myself. But I would love it to come true.

My ideal wish would be to see Mario 64 remade. The end of Mario Odyssey seemed like a concept for a 64 remake. However, I’m keeping my expectations in check.
HorrorNation that section in odyssey was unreal, I can't believe Nintendo actually acknowledges 64 sometimes let alone recreate such an iconic environment

Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD weren't full price, they were $40 at launch. I don't expect remasters with that much effort, I'm thinking if they're real it's just gonna be the same games, but now in widescreen. Same textures, same audio, same models, etc. With that in mind, I don't think this is all that impossible. It's also worth noting that the only 35th anniversary Mario stuff we've gotten is some Lego sets, no games so far, not even Paper Mario, so I'd say it's likely another Mario game of some kind is coming before the end of 2020.
Still an interesting and well made video.
BrendanBlair64 thanks for the feedback! I'm pretty sure TP HD came out at 50? I'm not sure. I'd still call 40-60 dollars full retail personally but I get where you're coming from. Don't get me wrong, I think anything is do-able, it's just the fact that Nintendo has shown no history rereleasing old 3D Mario games like this besides 64 on Virtual Console.
@@Sonnavafitch If TP was $50, it's probably because it came with an Amiibo. With things like the Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii and the Zelda collection on GameCube, I can see this happening, but of course it could also not.
Either way, good luck with your channel. I know that running a small channel can be a little demotivating, and it's good to see that this video seems to be doing well for you.

If they are real I would actually prefer them to be sold separately, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I get what your saying but if that's the case why did Nintendo rerelease super mario all stars for Nintendo Wii, in that logic wouldn't it look like ass next to Mario Galaxy 2?

which had the First two nes games, a Twenty Minute Demo of Wind Waker and a huge shocker at the time was that both last gen Zelda Games (Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask ) were also included and they were the full versions.

For $50 you get Six Main Kirby Games from NES,SNES, Gameboy and N64 Plus
Three Full Episodes of Kirby right back at ya (each episode is at least 15 minutes long )
a museum section features box art and video spotlights for every game in the Kirby series released through 2012
And
13 new challenge stages based on those found in 2011's Kirby's Return to Dream Land
(that's like playing a sample of Mario odyssey on top of everything)

Ok well Nintendo Value wise
Mario 64 costs $10, Sunshine $20 and Galaxy another $20 though Both Nintendo Selects and Digitally on Wii U
So if anything, adding Widescreen to Super Mario 64 And Sunshine and Putting them on one Cartridge is more then possible.
Jug-A-Nuts I feel that for all the other properties, Nintendo has shown that they don't mind re-releasing games, but also in the all-stars on the Wii days, those were also available on the virtual console. (Although given that they're the 16 bit versions of all the NES games) I think that was just a cheap way to cash in on the 25th anniversary. If the 3D games get ported over (which hold more value in their eyes) it'll be a ton of work
I feel like glossing any rumor over as, "sources said it" isn't very helpful. You have to look at the general track record of the company/person, how much they have at stake, how many insiders are coming to a consensus, etc.
The idea of this video is that "rumors are rumors and they should be taken with a grain of salt" because while I, myself, enjoy a good rumor or speculation, people believe everything they're hearing and will come with pitchforks crying about the thing they thought was coming. Like I said in the video, I could be very wrong, but come September and nothing is announced and everyone is crying that Nintendo didn't announce the remastered collection, I'd rather be on the side of the fence that was like "yeah I figured as much" instead of trashing them on Twitter.

To be honest i will laugh when everyone finds out the mario remasters are fake, since everyone got riled up about it
The only reason I could see Nintendo doing this is if they are REALLY desperate for a holiday game. Otherwise it is just too hard to believe.
I think it will happen because the leakers alleged all this alongside Paper Mario and many of them have credibility. Will it meet the hype of the Mario fanboys? I would be shocked if it did. I'd at most expect some engine tweaks to improve performance and replacing some models and textures especially for Mario 64. It'd be awesome if they added the DS content and finished the scrapped multiplayer mode, but I'm not counting on it. I'm only really a casual Mario fan though, so I'm not really invested in it happening like some people are.
Also I can kind of see a marketing opportunity; with 2 competitors trying to launch a console this year, Nintendo will probably want some stuff to get all eyes on them. They want to keep the Switch chugging and maybe try to pass the Wii's sales and dwarf the PS2's library - having every core Mario game on a single platform would be very enticing to many lapsed and semi-casual gamers

I think that the three will al be remastered and sold separately for 60 dollars, and then 3d world deluxe for 60 dollars.

Loved the video, and I gotta get back to feeling like you and stop letting the hype get to me.
One minor adjustment I would personally make, you said about the Direct Mini Partner Showcase that people were upset that Mario wasn't in it despite them saying it would only be third party. there are some kids who thought that but most people were disappointed that the direct itself was announced as a third party only. Not that they saw that watched the direct and still expected the announcement, it was that the direct happened at all without anything major coming in 2020. It seemed like the hate blended together because the announcement came only 9 hours and 57 seconds ahead of the direct at a time when most people were sleeping anyways so it seemed like it blended together. But it was just the stance of nintendo not really telling us about anything coming out for the second half of the year (after paper mario) and they started with a third party only thing, that is where MOST of the rage was aimed.
Yeah I kinda just lumped all the hype/rage together for the direct into one big ball when I should've talked about more specifics. Thanks for the input!

I believe that these remasters are all really likely to happen because of how much this year has sucked. If they ended the year with only a few games being released and not massive games like a new smash bros mario or Zelda. I think 3D world is guaranteed for this year and then the mario remasters possibly November for a winter release. I think with Pikmin 3 being confirmed like the leakers said makes the remasters more likely. Just my opinion either way can’t wait too see what happens

Well I guess I'm my mind process, leaks to me and are more speculative then set and stone. I don't believe ever thing said about rumors/ but at the same time its flippen awesome if they are true!! I completely see what you mean about the price and remastered ports games being 60 dollars off back. Donky kong country tropical freeze, wind waker HD, twilight princess HD, Links awakening HD ect ect. So that is a huge point 🤔🤯. nintendo is huge on their IP, especially mario!! I mean plus the amount of time they would need to make them all HD would take a very long time. There is a one person I can kind of trust more than anyone is Emily Ross [leaker]. Her passed info has been pretty accurate. The last thing I remembered her saying for mario. Its a good year to be a plumber! This was pretty early in the year, before the pandemic, so things can change. But maybe it was just 2 mario games for 2020 [paper mario and 3D world] and the rest is with parnership with different companies like, Jenja, Levi, lego, and perhaps a few others. I guess time will tell. If 3D World where to be the last thing for 2020, I'd like to see some really good perks [deluxe] with it. Add more characters, yoshi, wario, waluigi and maybe daisy. Add more stages, a soundtrack section would be cool!! And maybe a new mode. But if I had a choice game for mario 35th anniversary, it would be Mario Kart Ultimate / Dimensions, but thats for another topic [which if you are willing to talk about, im in!] Great video, I appreciate the realistic and business perspective yet personal feel!! I don't understand why you talk about vgc if vgc is a good source. 99% of time their leaks are true and for the 35th anniversary we have now paper mario origami king and a leak of mario 3d world deluxe on switch in best buy site. Secondly euro gamer continued this rumor and their leaks are 99% true. So this video make juste no sense. You can explain what you believe about the rumor but not explain their leaks are false if 99% of time their leaks are true. And for their sources, their sources can be anonymous. That is the reason why we don't know what are their sources. So next time don't post a video who make no sense

CELEBRATIONS WILL SEE MARIO’S 35-YEAR BACK CATALOGUE REMASTERED FOR SWITCH" and Nintendo has not confirmed this. Due to the HEADLINE, there's been countless fans who take it at face value and assume this is coming out when it has yet to be revealed. Why doesn't the article say "notorious leaker says Super Mario Remasters are coming"? Because they want the clicks. That section of the video is based around video game journalism, not video games leakers.
