I dont think the pads are titanium also, but I could be wrong. The cool part is seeing that caliper and all of the strange little holes and divots and parts that seem to be just a useless manufacturing flaw all the sudden make sense when all of that energy is turned to heat and sparks and you can see how it all shoots out of those spots and gets moved away from the caliper. well, the speed was also not small, it also extinguished the brake discs
they had a cooler next to it of course... even in normal driving it gets cooled by the wind
What time to start the day off with relaxing Tatanium caliper brake test. Thank you TH-cam
This is recommended to me cuz the world knows one day I’m getting a Bugatti

Better hope your Bugatti doesn’t have a fuel leak. Titanium is extremely durable and heat resistant, but sparks more than a fireworks festival.
I dont think the sparks you are seeing are from the titanium caliper. Carbon ceramic rotor being squeezed by the 3D printed titanium caliper and the brake pads being completely destroyed is what the sparks are coming from. Pretty cool stuff to see that's for sure!
Should have been made out of tungsten-titanium, tungsten is the most heat resistant metal known it barely sparks at all
I also believe it only sparkles when you go a gabillion mile/hour so u should be alright topping out at 260+
@@nikolaiorr8383 Tungsten is very dense though, and I'm guessing they are using titanium to save weight. A calliper made of tungsten would be over 4x as heavy as one made of titanium (titanium 4500kg/m3, tungsten 19600kgs/m3)
@bobwatters The caliper is titanium, the disk is carbon-ceramic.
bugatti brakes for single use only :D
ottmahauS lol I’ll stick with regular them shits probably cost your whole body

Actualy, they are not, if you would have used your own brakes at a speed like that you will see everything brake in pieces

Bugatti: Our *brakes* will stop your car even if it's on fire. 🔥
*brakes
In the real world at high speeds air will be flowing over it so it won't get anywhere near as hot
@@trigger8221 Indeed. The wind plus the weight of the car will prevent it from even reaching such speeds (edit: reaching top speed so quickly). Race cars can combust due to unforeseen circumstances though.
@@kenzito101 What do you mean with "prevent it from even reaching such speeds"? Did you mean to say temperatures?
@@kenzito101 you were half right though, they can reach those speeds just not at the same acceleration, there'd be a good minute of acceleration with 250km/h airflow over the brakes in between each attempt. But still surprising to see that both the caliper and the disc stay intact for the final run... I sure that something was gonna give and had money on the disc shattering.

I worked in a brake shop and those have got to be the most beautiful brake calipers I've ever seen. Obviously designed to not trap heat around the rotor, seeing as how it covers such large part of it.
Can we just appreciate how strong those brake pads are

technically the truth
Underated
Yes
Not really, This is just stopping the rotor. In a real situation you would have 4 of theese. add tires, wind resistance, weight of the car etc. ull be stopping alot faster, ofc the brakes would be hot tho. but you wouldnt slam the brakes at top speed. that shit would be dangerous :D
