    I just returned from Cancun 3 weeks ago. I had mine a
    In Playa del Carmen. It was located next door to the bus station. My test cost 699.0 nmp. or $35.00. There was a bit of a line. All precautions were in place. I returned later that evening for my paper results. I would use this clinic again. A very good value for the money.

      Hi, Im currently in Playa Del Carmen and trying to find a reliable testing center. Do you remember the name of the place you got tested?

      @@bradday4083 Amatista Center Labs. If you go to the A.D.O. bus terminal, it is 2 doors down and on the same side of the street. In the windows they advertise the test and price. Bring your passports. Best of luck to you.

      @@tryan7 aw3some! And last question, I see a lot of people just getting the Antigen test rather than the PCR test bc the antigen is quicker... will passing the antigen be ok for entering the U.S. or do I specifically have to do the PCR?

    • @tryan7

      @@bradday4083 Good evening. I did the cheaper one. The swab test, that is all that is needed to return to the U.S. I would use caution about a needle stick. The ticket agent checked my results very carefully before issuing a boarding pass. Make sure it is three days or less before departure. Enjoy your stay in Playa del Carmen.

      @@tryan7 I actually do have one more question. Most of these places email you your test results. Can you show them your email results at the Cancun Airport to get through to your flight, or do you need to physically print out your results onto paper?

    I'm very confused. The CDC website says in order to travel back to the U.S. you need negative pcr test, however every video I watch everyone grabs the antigen test and is allowed onto their flight back to U.S. Is the Antigen test accepted for getting back into the U.S.?

    Thank you for the information. Do you know if most of the hotels were offering the test at the hotel? I'm thinking going back and forth to the airport will make up for time and money vs just getting at the hotel if most hotels offer on-site? At least for me just 1 person vs your 6.

    • @blakem311
      @blakem311  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most of the large hotels are now offering testing for free or at a fee. We stayed at the Intercontinental and they were offering free tests if you stayed 3 nights or more. Unfortunately, we were only staying two nights so they were going to charge $45 per person.

      I just came back March 8th from Cancun .. I saw the line for Covid testing not very long .. however you will need super extra time to check in as you cant get a boarding pass from the litte machines no more!! Youll have to do the line as if you are checking bags...I got there 3 hours before and thought I wasnt gonna make it (but I did). so starting now I will get to the airport with 4 hours (and this is with my negative results already on hand) Give extra time for the covid test or try to have it done somewhere else ,,,maybe its a litte more expensive but it will give you peace of mind!! On the Cancun airport website in English they have a list of acceptable labs and the prices and time results .. If you fly with American Airlines you will upload on the Verifly app and will tell you that it has been accepted and you are good (except for the fact you still have to do the line)

    Hey Blake,
    Was the form you had to fill out at the airport the "attestation"? Does it come from the airline?

    • @blakem311
      @blakem311  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Airlines has you fill out a form which they will hand to you when you get your boarding tickets. But there is a separate Mexico form that you are required to fill out online prior to going through security. Many airlines now have an app online where you can upload your covid results and other travel forms. The American Airlines app is called VeriFLY. Doing so should save you a bit of time at the airport check-in.

      They didn't go up as far as a nasopharyngeal swab. I estimate and 1-1-1/2". It was pretty quick.

  • @highriserate

    Dumb idea to leave hotel before testing. If you test positive you need to quarantine. The hotel will let you quarantine for free and food. Rather than at a motel 6 at the airport. All the docs you need or links to questioner are mostly likely in your email from your airline. Delta rocks everything can be uploaded prior to arrival at the airport.
