Mera (May-rah, roll the R) is one of the airport lounges that you can access with your AMEX! You were fortunate to be there before the mob arrives! Were you there during breakfast and try the chilaquiles?

We know of 3 ways to get it: 1) Purchase a membership on prioritypass.com; 2) Some credit cards offer free membership as a benefit, in which case you would simply need to request your Priority Pass and thus obtain membership; 3) Purchase a Day Pass, which costs 35.00 / pp for the Mera Business Lounge. Please note this price may change at any time. The lounge at Cancun Airport is located in Terminal 2 and is open daily from 6:00am to 6:00pm. Hope this answers all your questions. However, given its opening hours, this would not have been the one your friend was talking about. As far as I can see, there is more than 1 lounge at Cancun Airport, but none of them appear to be open 24 hrs.
@@TwoTravelandTour I will be visiting the lounge in June,the latest reviews are not too good,seem like they have cut back a lot on the food section,and the toilets are not cleaned often,but for $35.00 not much is expected..especially when a drink cost almost $20.00 at the airport.
