I was originally confident with using my phones NFC capabilities, but I just had to say, this video was by far the most professionally executed tutorial video I have ever seen! How anyone would still have a problem using NFC after watching this video is beyond me. It also showed me what an NFC tag is, and now I am tempted to purchase some. The NFC tags seem like they are very useful. Thank you very much for such a clear video tutorial on how to use android's NFC applications and their respective phones' NFC chip settings! Such a great tutorial can be rare at times when mediocre tutorial videos are in abundance and not always put together very well. I look forward to more great tutorials in the future! =) Go #android !

I'm using a Moto G2 Play and a Samsung 9. I was unable to get nfc to transfer a file from the WhatsApp from the Samsung to the Moto handset. However, the Bluetooth tether option did work. Thanks for your video.
It uses a miniscule amount. I have a HTC One X and leave it on 24/7 and I have noticed no change in battery life over the 6 months I have had the phone. I use to have NFC off but its very handy for tags etc so its on all the time. The radio is off when the screen is off an only awakes when you unlock the device.

Id like to take a 3d video with 2 nfc compatible cellphones. Both are the same xperia sp. Could I use nfc to take videos with 2 phones at the same begining and end time, or it just a feature to share images and websites

I can't figure out how to set as the default app to read and run the action. I'm using Tasker as the APP that I want to run the trigger and action. Can you help. What am I doing wrong
Doesn't work so well for me, I tried it between my Nexus 5 and my Nexus 7 but it seems they have to be perfectly still and exactly back to back on a certain area. I guess I have to get used to it. Pretty awesome feature anyway!
On iOS the Bluetooth is almost worthless because you can't send files with it ( iOS 6 ) On iOS 7 I you can only send files using Airdrop but only on recent Apple devices With Android since day one you can send files using Bluetooth with any bluetooth enabled devices no hassle of connecting to the internet just to send a photo The struggle is real on iOS when it comes to file sharing if you don't have an Internet connection and the device isn't compatible to receive files ( iPhone 5 below ) ( iPad 4 below ) you're out of luck on iOS but on Android sharing is a breeze! It's even more convenient with NFC that's Android's forte " File Sharing "

The speed of android NFC is slow and it requires wifi. You can only use android NFC once two phone are touching. iOS airdrop is much better because it don't require wifi and it doesn't need to touch with the other apple device. AirDrop also can view your files immediately without downloading for a long time when the size of the files are big.

I had mine turned on for all this time and I didn't even notice... And the battery life was great, whole day no problem on my Galaxy Nexus. :)

Make sure both have NFC on, also, the NFC chip is near the top of the Nexus 7. So try placing the phone against that part of the tablet.
