These 3.6s sound great toting a load. I have a hitch on my 2012 impala and occasionally haul a riding lawn mower behind it. Of course my car isn't geared for much towing but it sounds great working.
Its alright! It's kinda gutless on the bottom end, but then it's fine once you are up to speed. I had '08 Tacoma with 4LITER before, it felt better on the start ups from a stop
I have a 2016 v6, 4wd the same color as this one. I only tow about 2500 lbs and it's no problem at all. In town I use the tow mode. It does a much better job shifting and is not sluggish.
The RPM is high. But, the mpg is amazing!

Yes, they sound good with cold air intake... but way too loud when towing:-/
Does it need to have a brake controller added to it?
Yes, mine didn't have one from factory
That’s nice, but what are you towing? That’d be nice to know.
I'm towing 2008 Acura RL AWD. (Curb weight ~4000lb) utility trailer with solid steel side rails about ~2800lb
What muffler do you have?
I had some off brand "performance exhaust" but the sound you hear, is the k&n cold air intake
How does the V6 do towing? I'm looking to purchase a Colorado as well with the V6 and was wondering how you like it so far?

My 2015 4x4 Canyon is a pleasure to drive ... without my trailer hooked up. It’s a V6 with good hp but not enough torque.
Did you add a leveling kit? If so, which ones? And has it caused any problems?
No, its stock. Though I would like to lower the rear
that's maybe 4000lbs no way that accord plus a 1200lbs trailer adds up to almost 7k
Thats Acura RL with AWD
