I do a lot in the morning but my secret is not to rush, give things however long they take to do, only do what I want to do, and not stress when I'm inconsistent. With this approach I'm able to get up at 5:45 and be out for work at 9:15. I have a simple breakfast, tea/coffee and reading time, a brief guided meditation, a brief workout, make my lunch, shower, dress, and do my beauty routine. I also walk to work and consider that part of my wellness. But again, if all of this doesn't get done, I'm okay with that. This is an ideal. I stopped trying to journal in the morning because it doesn't work for me so I'm trying to incorporate it for night when I feel more contemplative and creative.

Holy stunning location, Batman! If I had that porch, I'd be waking up earlier too! Alas, since I have to be at work by 7am (I'm a high school teacher), there is no way I'm getting up at 5am to fumble around in the dark for an hour. But this video is making me want to move to Canada and live by the water!

yes please 👏could not agree more, i also do better if i do whatever it is on my terms, and if i hit and miss, that's also ok 😊 that view and green all around the garden would be enough for me to get up early, not to do much, but to treat my eyes 😁

Such a good idea. It's something I've actually accidentally implemented for myself when I realized it would always take me hours after waking up to feel like I was actually ready to tackle the day. I'm glad this showed up to reinforce the continuation of this habit and gave me a few things to work more on, which is the "no tech" as I tend to check my phone first thing like too many of us do. It would do me good to force myself to be "bored" for 2 hours in the morning. I know my plants would appreciate it at least as much as yours do.
The cold plunge is annoyingly effective at lowering anxiety and resetting the nervous system. I can't stand cold showers or ice baths, but swimming is my jam. Miss having access to places to swim. I suppose that will have to be on my list of requirements at my next residence: access to a pool or rec area with clean, cold water at least half the year.
Your filming and editing style is delightful and simple. I appreciate your humour and how realistic you are, in stead of aiming for perfection. You seem very genuinely yourself, and I find that entertaining. You inspire me to try creating videos of some kind again.

Yessss I love this!! Today is literally day 1 of me re-implementing early mornings. I've been staying up way too late for the last month, either gaming with friends or watching anime with them, and I'm so sick of how I feel every morning when I roll out of bed at 10am-12pm, lacking sleep and exhausted. I couldn't sleep two nights ago and only got 3 hours of sleep, so I suffered yesterday and stayed up from 5am until about 8pm last night. Got up at 7am and I feel great today! I try not to push myself in the mornings; so far, I find that I like to sit by window and get some sunlight, then get up and do my skincare, change, and today, I felt like journaling so I did. :) I'm feeling very in the zone productive so I'm gonna go forth and do that, instead of running errands like I also need to do (that can be tomorrow's problem.) Just had brekkie while watching this... happy to get working!

I think we all need to realize that our day isn't just the morning. you can workout in the afternoon. you can do yoga or journal in the evening. not everything has to be in the morning!

revolutionary! Love the concept. I personally do prefer to have a bit of an actual routine in the morning because I don't like to have to think what to do, if that makes sense xD but my routine boils down to at least 5 minutes of yoga, shower and breakfast. I generally implement reading 10 pages too but I just got back from vacation and haven't been able to get up early enough to do this yet lol
