Memories! I’m going on 8 years in a few months watching your channel. Memories. Every year, you amaze me. I can’t tell you how much I’ve learned. Thank you, Jayda! ❤❤❤
I'm so excited for this years blanket, I can't wait to see what it's going to be! The only one I've worked on consistently was the granny square one and I loved all the squares. It was a birthday present for a niece and she loved it. She still uses it on her bed to this day. (She was 6 when I gave it to her) Can't wait till tomorrow!
I didn’t finish the Tunisian even though I loved some of the stitch patterns it’s a WIP 😅. The 2023 blanket I was nervous about it. I am hoping to handle the challenge for 2024😊
2023 calendar blanket. I enjoyed making this blanket. You asked which motif I liked the most and that was making the tulips. My favorite tulip is the parrot tulip, and I decided to make it by marling an orange fuzzy with another plain yarn and I loved the result.
Thanks for the 2023 Fair Isle Blanket, which was the first calendar blanket. It gave me the experience to attempt more complicated projects, and courage to develop my own graphs. The only thing different I wish I had done was to wait and see the completed project, then I would have felt better about the color scheme I ended up with. I'm definitely going to follow along with this year's afghan, and either crochet along, or earmark for a future project. I can't wait to see it!!!!
I stopped crocheting in the middle of the 2022 blanket. I was making 3 versions at once. Now that I’m picking up my hooks again it’s time to finish the second half!
Hi there from sunny South Africa. I just love your calendar blankets and have done quite a few of them. I run a knitwits/hooky group and we do blankets for the 67 blankets for Mandela charity, a great vision for helping the poor and desperate as well as learning about other cultures. I have shown my ladies your channel and many of them are now hooked doing your work. In just under a year we have made 187 full sized blankets for the homeless and those in need. Can't wait to start this year's blanket and see what the gals think!
Jayda I now legally blind. I can see colors but nothing clearly. I went blind during last years calendar blanket.. I can see only5 to6 inches., then everything goes away into big bubbles of colors. At least I can see colors and not black nothing. I'm thankful for that. I still enjoy listening to you and Mr.Institches! Just wanted to let y'all know why you haven't heard anything from me. ReAnne
I remember so well doing the Victorian stitch sampler calendar blanket. You helped me a lot to learn how to crochet with that. Been loving to crochet ever since. Thanks a bunch!
JADA you did something that 2 well seasoned ladies of crochet couldn’t even do in person….YOU TAUGHT ME HOW TO CROCHET…it was December of 2020 and I was recovering from a major surgery, and being a long arm quilter, I could not use my upper body muscles, but still had good use of my hands so with your granny square tutorial, I was instantly hooked….Yes at a mere 51 years of age I learned how to crochet aka…make Granny Squares. I am today I am working on a baby blanket for my first grandchild born in October 2023…I’ve learned a quick and super easy stitch using that Bernat Baby blanket yarn and it’s going great. After seeing this video I’m inspired to try my hand at the 2021 blanket. My question is what yarn did you use for that one?
Hi! I'm so happy to hear we have been a part of your crochet journey 😊 Our MMAM blanket used size 4 medium weight acrylic yarn, but you can use cotton or blends, whatever you like to make your blankets from. I don't use one particular brand, I mix them up based on colours that I like!
Been crocheting since i was 10 in the early 80s and I'm a crochetaholic! I started working the calendar blankets in 2022 with the tunisian. I did mine with birthstone colors. Love love love my 2023 fair isle blanket. My daughter wants to steal it from me. Can't wait to see what 2024 holds. Thank you for all the work and joy you bring.
Im not someone who thought of doing a temperature blanket for they would end up HUGE, but i always said if i _did_ make one it would be for important events. So either the first year of each of my children's lives (when they were born) or the temps and stats for each day of a pregnancy (running dark/light blue thread along with yarn for days that had rain or snow). I wasn't around in 2016 but seeing that calendar blanket made me think it would be the perfect structure for my temp blankets! Only downfall is the stitching together of all of the squares... I learned a few years ago with a wip that _that_ was not one of my favorite tasks
I made the 2020, 2021 and 2022 blankets. Now I'm wishing I had made the Fair Isle style one, too. Yours is so pretty! I'm looking forward to seeing the one planned for 2024.
Hi Kristen! If you want to try a little sampler of some of the graphs, definitely check out the playlist! A few folks made a scarf by only doing a single repeat of each graph which is a fun way to do the project too 😊
I'm sooooo excited! The first few weeks of January are always stressful waiting for your new calender blanket! Also the MMAM was absolutely the best project I've ever made! Absolute adored it! Xxx
Soooo excited!!!! I loved seeing all the calendar blankets. My first one was the join as you go strips. My favorite was the Fair Isle blanket. My favorite pattern was the acorn. Soooo excited to see what we will do with 3 colors!!!!!❤ Oh yeah. I made many many of the fancy granny squares as lovies my grandson.
I got excited while making the patchwork blanket. I made two squares every month and had 2 completed patchworks. My favorite, the folk-art blanket and planning a second. I never completed the Totally Tunisian and am working on it, now. My Fair Isle is a gem. I have the sample squares to put together on a rainy day. My favorite pattern was the March mosaic. I have learned so much and gained so much confidence. Can't wait for 2024.
I'm looking forward to the reveal on Friday! A couple ideas I would love to see in future calendar blankets are filet crochet and mosaic crochet. Both are fairly easy but super fun and produce a beautiful result.
My favorite fair isle row was the snowflake. This was my first blanket and I had fun! I want to make the folk art one as well and can't wait to start this years!
I did the last two years and really enjoyed learning the new skills. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us this year. And I am going to go back and do some of the previous years. They are all beautiful!
The Victorian sampler blanket was my first calendar blanket and I loved it. I have to look for it cause I moved and don't know where it is.❤ Then the folk art was next and I loved it too. Many people that see it love it as well. That one was so much fun to make. Lastly I tried the totally Tunisian. That was my least favorite but I think it was just the colors I chose. Can't wait to start this year's blanket because I love Granny squares!❤
My first calendar blanket was the Folk Art Blanket and I learned a lot from it too. I did do the houses just like my neighborhood and all my neighbors loved there house that I made so it is a one of a kind blanket. I really enjoyed being with you for the whole year. I haven't done one since the Folk Art One but maybe this year I will try it again now that I am retired I can really enjoy it and not rush the blanket. Love your channel.
I made different squares as wall hangings for the 12 block blanket. I made 1/2 of the Victorian Stitch Sampler. And I started the Fair Isle but got too busy. But I love ALL the blankets! Jayda could you please make more pocket pals and Chibi Chubby Tubbies? Your little creations gave me the confidence to start designing my own amigurumi patterns. Thank you! ❤
The only year i followed along with was the folk art one, i really enjoyed seeing what the next months applique was going to be. I'm looking forward to this years blanket, hoping to use it as a way to get back to crochet because i haven't done much of it lately but it's one of my favorite hobbies.
I'm intrigued.... what will it be this year?... Your past years' blankets are beautiful! I like the idea of having a whole month to complete a section, rather than just a week (I always fall behind with those). I think my favorite is the one with the farm countryside on it, but all are really cool! Looking forward to the first month's announcement next Friday! ❤ Meredith
@@JaydaInStitches I agree! But I am bummed! For some reason, I thought the CAL began on Monday, so I was SO happy that we'd find out the mystery tomorrow, but after I read your comment, you reminded me that it didn't begin until FRIDAY and was bummed I had 5 more days instead of just one - DUH! LOL! 😉❤ Meredith
I started the 2023. Also love it. Im so thankful for the instruction on graphs. I only got to May as I had my Grandson decide to come neet us early. Then they moved in with us and Grammy has veey little time to crochet at the moment. I just love you Jayda. Thank you for being here. I was a supporter but had to cancel for a bit. Cant wait to join again
I love your crochet dress and I will be making one of those for sure. I am looking forward to working the calendar blanket for this year. Thanks Be safe and Blessing to you
I retired the first time late 2020, so I was able to do the Mile-a-Minute in ‘21, and the Tunisian in ‘22, but went back to work for a bit in ‘23. Home again, this year, so looking forward to seeing what this year has in store for us! 😊❤
Hi Jayda! Looking forward to getting back to a crochet routine. ( I took a sabbatical (lol) for a while) My favorite blanket is also the Fancy Granny Square Blanket. 2024 is going to be a much better year for me. I’ve been missing the Crochet/TH-cam Community. 👀❤️🧶
Your excitement is contagious! I’ve learned so much from you, and you and Mr. In Stitches have also kept me company through some lonely evenings. I appreciate you both. I missed you guys during your well-deserved vacation. Welcome back! Here’s to a new year full of crochet fun!
I am overwhelmed with pride in what you have accomplished and achieved on your channel. It's really something! Much to look back on, and we look forward with confidence to longing. THANK YOU Jayda and Mr.Institches for another start to the year! Can't wait to get started! Oh, the Big Grannies and the Folk Art are my favourites!
Hey Jayda, Whew 2024! I'm excited for new year to begin a new calendar blanket. I started making the blankets in 2017 and I'm struggling to say which month is my favorite. There's about 4 or 5 really special ones but I can't commit to just 1 of them. 2017 is my baby but I also simply love 2019 ❤ and the houses are my favorite section maybe 😂. My 2021 is incomplete because of a very lenghty hospital stay with Covid. Also my 2022 Tunisian squares hasn't been joined and I'm committed to finishing both this year. I made multiple of some blankets using different yarn colors 2017=2; 2018=3; 2019=1; 2020=3; 2021=2 Inc; 2022=1 Inc; 2023=0 I'm excited for the 2024 revealing next week. Thanks for sharing❤
Hiya Jayda looking forward to seeing what's installed for this year blanket. I didn't make along the blanket for 2023 instead I made a cushion cover making 1 square of each so I have 6 on each of the 2 sides. It looks great, thanks for all you do.
Oh I'm So glad that you doing one again this year. I was all worried wondering what I could do for this year. I enjoyed having a new section to look forward to each month.
I made the 2017 calendar blanket in triplicate. I have 3 girls so wanted to make sure they all had one for their babies when they have them. It was soooo much fun, I changed up the color a bit on some squares to make them different for each girl. The teddy bear square was my favorite.
I was watching your video and recognize that cover you are wearing. I made that from your tutorial a couple of years ago. I may have to wear it with a colored shirt under like you do. :)
I can’t wait to see what’s next ….my favorite blanket I made was the patch work blanket cause I was able to use some of my favorite yarns 🧶like my variegated yarns 🧶 and the Tunisian blanket but I have not finished that one yet lol 😆 I started watching you about the time you were doing small squares I forget what year that was but I have been enjoying your videos all along so thank you 🙏🏼 anyway stay safe and healthy ✌🏼out for now 🙋🏻♀️
Wow! They are all such beautiful works of art. Thank you so much for your generosity and for being such a great instructor. I had never made a blanket of any kind and have 2 grandbabies on the way. Your tutorials for baby blankets are great and I was able to make my first baby blankets a few months ago, because of your great tutorials. Looking forward to 2024. Blessings to you and your loved ones.
Mile A Minute was my first one and it was so helpful because that's about the time I picked up crochet. I want to go back and do the Fancy Granny Square Blanket and the Folk Art Blanket, too! Those are so cute!! I just love your channel and your energy!!
Thank you for sharing. Like all the crochet you have showed here today. Really like that crochet top you are wearing. Did you do a video on making this? Sure would like to have the pattern for it. Thanks again, Happy 2024!
The Victorian Stitch Sampler was my first calendar blanket and I made a few baby blankets using some of the stitches in it. The only one I have missed since is the Folk Art but only as there was too much sewing for me to be bothered with. Looking forward to seeing what this year will bring.
I’ve done the mile-a-minute and Tunisian blankets. Both were so much fun to do! I’m looking forward to getting back into crocheting after a rough couple of years. It’s great therapy! And doing a calendar blanket gives you milestones along the way so you don’t get overwhelmed by such a big project. I love the concept and I have some stash I need to bust so…here we go! Yeah!
Great Job on all the blankets. They’re all so beautiful. The Mighty Mile a Minute one was my favorite. Also the fair isle style one too. Can’t wait to see what you came up with this year. Hope you’re having a good morning!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I am on pins and needles waiting for the '24 calendar blanket! The MMAM was my favorite. The others kinda spooked me, but i am kinda warming up to the temperature blanket....
Hi Cindy! The temperature blanket was fun, I got very accustomed to checking my local weather service's temperatures on the daily and writing them down 😂
Loved seeing all the previous calendar blankets! And I think I will have to make a few of those previous ones. So looking forward to this year's blanket! Thank you for everything you do, and happy 2024!
I started to learn to crochet in 2018, 2019 and I learned thanks to your channel. I started the blankets in 2020. I look back on the blanket I did in 2020 and over the years and I have vastly improved my crocheting skills since that first blanket I started. I still need to finish the Fair Isle blanket, but I can’t wait to see what you have in store for this year.
My first calendar blanket was the Totally Tunisian blanket. I loved it and made several side projects with the different patterns. The Fair Isle blanket was wonderful!!! I loved the color changes and the designs. I made so many side projects using color changes, many of them for gifts, which were well received. I have plans to make many more in the future. I’m excited about the 2024 blanket!!! 😁💕
Hi Vanessa, Welcome to the Cupboard 😃 There are a couple of ways to carry yarn in a square: carrying the yarn through the row to change colours and carrying the yarn up to the next row to change colours. We don't have a specific video on that (yet) but we will be discussing it soon, thank you for the suggestion 💗!
Crochet my dress! th-cam.com/video/lXkyFTlCADQ/w-d-xo.html

You read my mind! I was soooo distracted by that gorgeous dress. 👗 ❤
I need another mile a minute one. Something fantasy and whimsical. I loved doing it!!
Gotta love that speedy crochet!

I was scared for the last couple of year's blankets but I LOVED the Mile a Minute one :)
It was so fast!😁
I too love the mile of minute it was so fast I enjoyed it so much in fact I made two and get one of them away
I didn’t finish the Tunisian even though I loved some of the stitch patterns it’s a WIP 😅. The 2023 blanket I was nervous about it. I am hoping to handle the challenge for 2024😊
Same here
My favorite was the mile a minute, too!
2017 granny blanket my favorite square was the teddy bear. I use this square as baby blankets
Wonderful!
I made three MIGHTY MILE A MINUTE throws, one for each of my kids. I loved it!
Wow!!
I stopped crocheting in the middle of the 2022 blanket. I was making 3 versions at once. Now that I’m picking up my hooks again it’s time to finish the second half!
Welcome back to the woolly world of crochet 💗
The mile a minute is the first I tried, and although I did not finish, the 6months I did made a great door curtain.
Oh neat!!

The folk art blanket was my favorite ❤️

This was the first blanket I made with you. I love it. I made a miniature version for my Grandson
ahhh! How sweet!
So much fun to look back at all the past blankets. Folk art was by far my favorite!

I bet! We all literally made them a work of art 💗

Jayda, those blankets are beautiful. You are extremely talented, and I can't wait to see what the 2024 blanket is going to be. 😊

My 2021 is incomplete because of a very lenghty hospital stay with Covid. Also my 2022 Tunisian squares hasn't been joined and I'm committed to finishing both this year. I made multiple of some blankets using different yarn colors
2017=2; 2018=3; 2019=1; 2020=3; 2021=2 Inc; 2022=1 Inc; 2023=0
I'm excited for the 2024 revealing next week. Thanks for sharing❤
Hi Deborah, Here's to a healthy and fun 2024!
Hiya Jayda looking forward to seeing what's installed for this year blanket. I didn't make along the blanket for 2023 instead I made a cushion cover making 1 square of each so I have 6 on each of the 2 sides. It looks great, thanks for all you do.
Fantastic! I like that those designs could be used for so many things 😊
Oh I'm So glad that you doing one again this year. I was all worried wondering what I could do for this year. I enjoyed having a new section to look forward to each month.
I'm so glad!
I made the 2017 calendar blanket in triplicate. I have 3 girls so wanted to make sure they all had one for their babies when they have them. It was soooo much fun, I changed up the color a bit on some squares to make them different for each girl. The teddy bear square was my favorite.
Hi Rosanna! That's amazing, 3 of them!!
2019 Folk Art Blanket was so much fun! It is my favorite blanket too!
It was like painting with yarn 😊
Love making blankets❤😊.thank you

So excited to see the new project !! C ya next week yeah
Hi! Thank you for watching 😊 See you Friday!
Amazing blankets and I love your crochet top!
Hi Alicia! Thank you!
I was watching your video and recognize that cover you are wearing. I made that from your tutorial a couple of years ago. I may have to wear it with a colored shirt under like you do. :)
Try it! It works for winter and summer (over the bathing suit) 😊
I can’t wait to see what’s next ….my favorite blanket I made was the patch work blanket cause I was able to use some of my favorite yarns 🧶like my variegated yarns 🧶 and the Tunisian blanket but I have not finished that one yet lol 😆 I started watching you about the time you were doing small squares I forget what year that was but I have been enjoying your videos all along so thank you 🙏🏼 anyway stay safe and healthy ✌🏼out for now 🙋🏻♀️
Hi June! We'll see you Friday 😁
I turned your fair isle style graph into dish cloths for cleaning. I'd always wanted to learn graphs, you made it so easy! Thanks
Wonderful! I'm so happy to hear that 😊
The Victorian stitch sampler and mileaminute were my all time favorites. Fair isle was very nice too.
Hi Maria! I enjoy learning new stitches in bite sized installments 😊
My favourites from last year’s blanket was the diamonds and the pink ribbon ❤
Hi Roni! I really liked the connecting images too! no need for spools 😁
I’m intrigued for 2024.
Loved that you walked through each year’s project.
See you. Next week!!?🧶❄️🧶
See you then Mariann!
2019 Calendar blanket was the best!!!! Soooo fun. My favorite too❤
It was like painting with yarn!
Beautiful looking forward to Friday thank you ❤
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!
💜💜💜
My first and only was your Folk Art blanket! I absolutely loved crocheting it! That was a fun project ❤ So excited to see what 2024 will be!
Awesome!
Hi Deb, congratulations on your expanding family!
In my little town I had a walmart and a yarn shop
Ohmygosh I love that!
Mile A Minute was my first one and it was so helpful because that's about the time I picked up crochet. I want to go back and do the Fancy Granny Square Blanket and the Folk Art Blanket, too! Those are so cute!! I just love your channel and your energy!!
Thank you! 💗
Thank you for sharing. Like all the crochet you have showed here today. Really like that crochet top you are wearing. Did you do a video on making this? Sure would like to have the pattern for it. Thanks again, Happy 2024!
Hi Rita, thank you! Yes, it's the pinned comment 😊
Happy New Year 🎉🎉🎉
The Victorian Stitch Sampler was my first calendar blanket and I made a few baby blankets using some of the stitches in it. The only one I have missed since is the Folk Art but only as there was too much sewing for me to be bothered with. Looking forward to seeing what this year will bring.
Hi Cathy! Happy New Year! ⭐
Yeah!
It is great therapy, I totally agree 💗 Welcome back to the woolly world of crochet Angela!
Great Job on all the blankets. They’re all so beautiful. The Mighty Mile a Minute one was my favorite. Also the fair isle style one too. Can’t wait to see what you came up with this year. Hope you’re having a good morning!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Wonderful! See you next week Traci!
I love learning stuff from you. I need to learn corner to corner and mile a minute. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Cheryl! We've got a C2C video that you might like here: th-cam.com/video/JeX1BiJih5s/w-d-xo.html
I am on pins and needles waiting for the '24 calendar blanket!
The MMAM was my favorite. The others kinda spooked me, but i am kinda warming up to the temperature blanket....
Hi Cindy! The temperature blanket was fun, I got very accustomed to checking my local weather service's temperatures on the daily and writing them down 😂
My favorite was the Mile a minute... I made 6 of them.
WOW!
They are all beautiful blankets. 💜🙏🏻
Thank you Kathy!
Loved seeing all the previous calendar blankets! And I think I will have to make a few of those previous ones. So looking forward to this year's blanket! Thank you for everything you do, and happy 2024!
Hi Kerri! Happy 2024!
Hi Dani, that's wonderful! Thank you for watching 😊
Hi Barbara! All those Tunisian stitches were so much fun to learn.
Hi Jayda,im following your Callander blanket, yaay! Do yo have a video on how to carry yarn on a granny square please x
I hope I can do this years blanket. Thank you Jayda &Mr Stitches❤️
Hi Starla! Stay tuned 😊
Loved this video!!! You are always so upbeat!
Hi! Thank you for watching 😊
I haven’t made any of your lovely blankets yet maybe I will this year😊 I like the mile a minute, fair isle, fancy and folk ones best.
They're all so different but equally fun 😊
I love all your blankets there beautiful ❤❤❤
