I was looking to purchase a modeling pedal and found Steve's demos on TH-cam. Steve has a great selection of pedals and reviews and an excellent source of tutorials and demos for all of them.
I contacted him, and I explained what I was looking for, and he suggested I watch his videos to help guide my choice.
This level of service is what added an exceptional value to my purchase from ThePedalGuy.
It arrived in perfect condition and was just what I expected.
The customer service and communication for my purchase were excellent, and the price was more than competitive - so shame on you if you don't support his channel and purchase somewhere else.
I highly recommend this company and will be doing more business with them in the future.
    Customer Service followup
After a few days of playing on my unit (The Ampero) I had questions on the looping and drum machine, so I contacted him. The next day he sent me the link to this video.
Wow, thank you, Steve, for your time, just buy your gear from this guy!

After nearly a year with my Ampero, I really love this thing. The updates they’ve done since I bought it are great. I can dial in any sound I’m feeling like playing if I take my time with it. I gotten to be a connoisseur of cleans and slightly gritty old rock sounds with this thing. It will do screaming high gain tight sounds for modern metal, but so many demos out there don’t do this thing justice on how well it does vintage sounds. Great dynamic response on guitar volume and picking strength too. Best money I’ve spent on a modeler in such a compact unit and easy to take with me to jam with friends. I run into a 12” FRFR and use the XLR out. It’s a blast. I got a hand wired custom plexi clone, 2/12 Marshall vertical slant cab and a nice three channel tube preamp from AMT plus a two notes Torpedo CAB M. The Ampero keeps up in tones to it. Just really versatile. Now I’ll try out the looper after this video. I think it’s the best value modeler out there with as many features as it has. Enjoy your Ampero dude. It’s been solid in performance the entire time. 😎

@@vondragonnoggin I am happy to see the Ampero community expanding and hope more people share their presets and tips. I have a Custom Soldano preset for my Ampero which really shows just what this unit can do. I also purchased the NUX MG 300 and it is a great little unit to just jam with and a great value at the price. The looper and drum machine are very easy to use.

The absence of an UNDO button made me buy an external looper. I asked Hotone if they were going to add this function to the looper in next firmware updates, they simply said no.

I never use it because unless you put the unit on the floor to trigger the record with you foot ,there is noway to have a clean start. They should have include a pre-roll to let you use the looper in a desktop configuration.

Is it possible to switch effects on/off while you are in looper? Or is it still playing a loop when you go out of looper?

    • @ThePedalGuy
      @ThePedalGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Not sure what you mean. If you have recorded a loop with effects applied, then no. If not, then you can exit the looper (while it's still playing) and turn off/on effect.

    • @ThePedalGuy

Sure. It won't sync with the Ampero, but you can certainly place a looper at the start of the signal chain.

Hi there man. Can the looper be deactivated? Playing live 2 or 3 times, I pushed the 2 buttons unintentionally and the looper got activated without really wanting to use that feature. I don't use that live, so I would like to deactivate the possibility. Thanks in advance.

  • @allboutthemojo

Can be a Useful external switch but looks like an afterthought for a design goof because they forgot to put those switches on the board to begin with. Plus without the led , they look like a handyman made them .
