I have been to Chenonceau. It is so beautiful and it was even lovelier in a light spray of winter snow! Magical place. Poor, poor Catherine! She was a miserable woman! She brought it on herself, of course, but I feel a little sorry for her. I am always enthralled with the French antique shops. Thank you for the video!

When I have the opportunity to visit the Château in the early 90s, I was very impressed with the floral arrangements as I am in the industry.! These pictures still impress me even today

Those small, translucent, light holders( for lack of a better word!) are also called “ fairie lights” here in the US and made of glass or paran porcelain like Belleek!
I know them as Lithophanes

Love it when you and Phillip are with Vivian. The Chateau de Chenonceau is stunning of course, but Lalande will always have my heart. Not a fan of too much bling. That would include gold filigree covering the beautiful wood that Amaury so carefully crafted into the paneling for the Marquis sitting room. It would just feel overdone as Lalande is not and never has been a royal residence. I adore it for what it is, a well-loved and lived in country chateau. Sorry. All that said, it is not my home. It is yours to do with as you see fit. Just hope it does not get blinged out of all proportion.

This video brought back wonderful memories of my first visit some years ago. I vividly remember walking through the Chateau de Chenonceau on tour shortly after it was opened to the public in 1913. With Stephanie and Philip's festive holiday visit to the Chateau I felt like I was walking through an incredible dream of one magical Christmas vision after the other.

Enjoy seeing this gorgeous château again via yours and Chateau Love’s Channel. I can tell you firsthand that Vivienne jewelry is really beautiful and quite unique. I own of her two brooches and purchased two more for Christmas and my birthday. (I am so in love with cameos now) I pre-ordered your tea party scarf so I’m looking for the right cameo from Vivienne to go with it after the New Year. Blessed Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa!
More than Magnificent! I did see it once on Vivienne and Simon's vlog . But never can see this enough! Am the luckiest woman to get to see this at all! If only in person, but this is still quite nice really! So many places to see and learn about , and places I have never heard about!
The porceline was exceptionally beautiful! As far as the antique store, truly there was so much that would make one want to purchase. Saw many items and yet too large to take home anyway. Of course Philip and his stuffed animals will never end, as he knows Stephanie is not going to allow that kind of purchase! He loves teasing her though! lol
This is such fun with Stephanie, Philip, Vivienne and Isabella. I think Isabella enjoys every place she goes and you can see what a great relationship she and her mom have! So easy to be friend with it seems! Thank you Stephanie and Philip for taking me along on your lovely adventure, and for Vivienne and Simon and Isabella, for coming up with this lovely idea! Christmas truly is radient, when you are able to take in life in this way! Never would have had this opportunity if not for all of you! Wow! So beautiful!! So Stephanie….when you told Phillip you saw the worst piece of furniture in the brocant…..I have to disagree. That dresser was ornate BUT in the right chateau room it could be fabulous!!! I’m thinking of stripping it down to the bare wood, then painting it in a beautiful soft ivory/cream with gold details. Personally the mid century modern kitchen cabinets were worse than the dresser and I love the mid century modern style.
