    Large format tile, Bathroom Floor installed over Schluter Ditra uncoupling membrane. using a tile leveling system with the clips m placed only at the corners of the tile. This method can save a lot of leveling clips, but should only be used with high quality tile.

      Fa get about it…Don’t make me hunt you down…Tie you up with Schluter strips,silicone your ears shut than slowly wax off your eyebrows with some hot Ardex #9 baby!And if anyone else has something smart to say about my grout lines they’ll get a trowel where the sun don’t shine!

    What is the purpose of horseshoe spacer in addition to leveling clips? Hope you don’t mind sharing. Trying to decipher the trick but no success. 😳 As always, a true lesson in Sal’s video. 👍

    Always layout your tile first. Great advice Sal. I like to know what my tile is doing before I lay it down. Thanks Sal for all the vids. I learned a lot from you.

    Another great video! How did you decide where to place the first tile and why was it not on the first row? Thanks again from a fellow professional, your instruction helps me be more efficient

      I had a chalk line where I put down the first tile. Always do a layout first.

    And that’s how it’s done right!I can lay out a 20x20 slate floor before that Starr Tile bumb got his curb prepped!His story has more holes than his pan liner..fa get aboud it..This really all started after I caught Bob in the bathroom snorting grout at the company Christmas party …

    Hi Sal, Nice work! If I were to use 24x24" porcelain tile in 10x6' laundry room, how many of those anti slippage T-LOCKS would do I need ?

    Didn't go with clips on the verticle lines Sal? Going in the corners good enough for that tile & clip combo?

      Floor was flat, tile was high quality, minimal clips needed.

    Hi Sal, I have a similar situation to this video and I was racking my brain trying to figure out how to get a full tile at the door without tiling myself into the back of the room. But I notice you didn’t do a full tile at the door. Would you say the norm is a partial tile at the door like you did here? I’m totally stuck on this. Thanks!

    • @SalDiBlasi
      @SalDiBlasi  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on the layout of the bathroom. I often do full tiles at the door. Do an accurate layout, dry lay and cut in the tile if you have to. Start at the back wall and work your way out. If you are afraid that you will miss, lay it out so you have an inch cutoff at the door.

      Thanks Sal. Makes perfect sense. By the way thought you may get a kick out of this. I called mapei technical support a while back to ask a question on a specific thinset and the conversation turned into general tiling tips. She then said if you go on TH-cam, search for a guy named Sal Diblasi and just follow everything he does. No lie. I told her I’ve been watching your videos for years and she started laughing.

    How do you know where to set the tile in the next row after the first tile you set? Seems like any marks make on the floor would be covered by thinset. Thanks man, love your videos, I could just use some tips!

    • @SalDiBlasi
      @SalDiBlasi  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's why I precut the tile.

    Hey Sal!. Mate do you charge by the square metre, or whatever you use over there!! Like should I measure it out with my feet!!? 😝. Or do you charge by the hour!??

    I wonder if his spacers are slightly thicker so the arches break clean . Otherwise , why the need for both ?
