if you were going to post a review of a litter box, would have been good to at least actually have some discussion of the core function.... yeah we get it, you hate the lid, and maybe that lid is awful. But you never actually get to the core product function....

Even though I liked this video. A few things concerned me with the review. Did you not do any research on the litter box before buying. It comes off as if you just wanted to make a bad review. 2 I agree with all the negatives but those aren’t game changers for the fact that it works and does free up some of my time in the morning. But like I said. These are things you should’ve already known buying the device in the first place.

Well it's clean and not used. So he just wanted to give a bad review

I 100% agree with you! I had read many great reviews of this product and spent the $$$. I was first frustrated with the 2-month backorder waiting period. Then I was also very frustrated with the dang lid. That thing took some practice to get on right! First week: My cat jumped in and out of this so much and batted at the raking mechanism that it would stop several times during its cycle. She peed BEHIND the rake and then it got stuck trying to come back to original position. Then it glued there when she peed directly on the mechanism. (I used Tidy Cats instant action litter.... that stuff basically turns your cat's urine into a cement ball.) I watched the video on how to take it apart, clean it, fix it... that worked just fine. Week two: The ads say you can go up to a week without scooping. I tested this. The tray had been clipped in, however, it fell off within 3 days and then the rake pushed all the gross stuff in between the bin and the box. That was really gross to clean out manually. Week three: I smelled an electrical burning scent, the rake got stuck again and wouldn't complete the process and no longer works at all. I'm pretty sure my cat peeing on the rake and constantly jumping on it just broke it. In my opinion, if anything is designed for a cat, they should understand cat behavior. My cat attacks and/or plays with anything that moves. This totally did not work for us, but I didn't expect it to break after less than a month. Unplugged it and calling for a refund. Back to using the regular litter box. This machine was a huge pain the arse. I also want to mention that the actual litter area is really small compared to a regular box, the lid is very short... and if you have a large cat, this won't work at all. My cat is pretty small at only 9 lbs and even she looked crouched in there. She loves to dig and bury and she couldn't really do that with this very shallow, small area. For all you haters of this video... I don't know what to tell you. This review is SPOT ON.

I bought this litter box knowing that I would be able to return if within 30 days! My emails were answered while they were trying to get me to keep the machine. Once I asked for a return label, I got no answer from them!

I have to say you're certainly in the right with parts of your review. I received this as a passed on gift from my mother who said herself, "I would rather go back to just scooping it up by hand." I think the self-cleaning part gets a lot of people's hopes up that they will never have to pick up after their cat ever again but that's simply not how it works. Yes, this does cut a lot of time down on actually doing the chore up picking up the poo but of course still requires its own maintenance as a machine. If you're going into this trying to drop all obligation to your furry friend then maybe stick with the scooper.

Control panel is inside the dome. Constantly exposed to dust and urine that is sprayed, if your pet isn’t that accurate. Too many poor features that may have been designed by none cat owners.

Don't buy one! The unit doesn't function as it's supposed to and ultimately breaks. The company will keep you going back and forth via email until the 30 period for return time is up and then throw their "terms and conditions" at you. Even if you get them to accept a return, the shipping on the huge item will be up to you to cover. It is an extremely pricy scam. Beware!

This is pure junk, save your hard-earned cash. Lasted 3 months, policy states you pay shipping both ways to get a refurbed product that won't last any longer than the 1st one. The thing is a PITA to clean, 3 hours to disassemble/reassemble once a month to get the cat poop cleaned off the rake and rails.
