Every time I hear Jeremy Corbyn speaks it always makes me wonder how much of a better state Britain would be in right now if he was voted in as PM
He would have been assisinated by now.

@@Hbw113 the groups that really pull the strings throughout the UK would not have allowed someone unvetted , not within their fold to ever become prime minister , this why they spent millions to deplatform him , attempted to destroy his reputation and remove him from the political sphere completely , and since , they have attempted to remove any allies or politicians with similar views.. with this in mind you can see how a political novice such as Starmer can go from unheard of to prime minister in seven years🤔🤔🤔
sucking up to Putin congratulating him on liberating Ukraine.
You mean you better off, your sort wants to live off others hard earned tax shame on you.
The lobbyists , businessmen controlled governments wants NHS to be privatised.
And patients to get un-alived
@samokazem2211 true, they have no interests in how the the majority get by
Pay these junior doctors. How do politicians expect to run a prosperous healthy country with sick people. For goodness sake whoever is in government. Wake Up!
the salary that the NHS pays its doctors is an insult, i don’t blame these people at all. they deserve to be paid much more for the services they provide
We live in a society where you can get more for stacking shelves in a supermarket than if you spent 7+ years in education and racking up tens to hundreds of thousands in debt. I have no objection if these individuals go off to other countries and companies that actually appreciate and value them.
Broken Britain
I remember the 80's under Thatcher when thousands of nurses, radiographers, anaesthetists and others left the NHS because of her.
Did numbers ever recover? If they did, how? I'm curious as someone born after the 80s
£29,000 for a first year salary. After 7 years at uni and with accumulated debts of £120,000 to be repaid at 7.6% interest. MPs get £91,000, subsidised bars and restaurants and generous expenses. They say the junior doctors are just being greedy...
In London Junior doctors recieve less than newly qualified bus drivers 😢😢😢
You seen how much a junior solicitor gets paid? Why is no one campaigning for them?

I earn more than £15 ph! I work in insurance so the fact that our country won’t pay them what they are asking for is just unacceptable, MPs always get an increase
For the majority on minimum wage, £15 phr is viewed as luxury!
This is a perfect example showing when the rich get richer, living standards fall for everybody else.
China as lots of millionaires and billionaire but the average person is better off than when they were non. The idea that rich people make poor people poorer is nonsense.

Great to see Novara reporting on this!
Our 5 -7 years trained doctors leave and government employ lesser qualified 2 year trained PAs instead 😮
I hope the doctors stand their ground. We are not human capital to be disposed of at the pleasure of Rishi's and Keir's American "handlers". We are citizens. The money is there. It's sitting in pots of untaxed and poorly taxed wealth within "The City".
Give them more than they are asking for. They have been ripped off for tolerating this for so long. Victory to the junior Drs. Some of whom are in their mid 30s.
Some of them sharing rooms. They live no better than a school leaver
"Investment in healthcare is a fiscal multiplier. You get a return on what you put in." What a brilliant comment. Now he's said it, it seems so obvious.
And to think that the French system is actually following the way of the NHS. Underfunding and privatisation has been the norm since Hollande. Meanwhile, let’s also remember that a vast number of nurses and doctors in the NHS have been poached from developing countries
Canada's healthcare is also being privatized on behalf of US corporations. Neoliberalism is death
@@Toubabou yes your right third world countries
@Britishempire-hv6rb How about you focus on learning how to use grammar for your native tongue properly first, Deformer?
Here in New Zealand our new right wing government has triggered a mass exodus to Australia. When will politicians realise that people want money spent on health. Support to our two junior doctor nieces in the uk👍
Because governments are super efficient and they always make things function better. And it only gets better over time, not worse. Also, why tax anyone anymore when we all know they can simply print however much they want?
Truth be told, the previous Labour led government was so fiscally irresponsible NZ now has a huge national debt and low productivity. Read the damning reports by the NZ Auditor General.
Time for a wealth tax on all excess profits over the last 14 years.
Healtcare strikes....Always a harbinger for an economy that is sick but whose diagnosis is not yet known.
Absolutely right, good on them & they must not privatise the NHS-Labour will finish it off if people vote for them or the Tory’s.

Post Brexit UK can't be the sick man of Europe.
Too late
If you guys can get a job abroad that pays well.. leave!! The UK are not serious with these stagnant salaries
Cut MP salaries to pay these more important people.
Come to Straya. Hundreds are already alongside nurses etc. Double your pay!
Doctors keep going, money still being splashed around by our MPs like water.

Giving money for wars 🎉🎉
(Insert Drake's meme)
Starmer continues to prove Corbyn is a better leader with every clownish action kier takes
Here comes the USA-style health care in the UK. Only the rich will be able to get treatment and investors will ask for more and more money in return. We're f*cked... What happened to Cameron's idea of making every newly qualified doctor work in the UK for a year?
They are made to work for two years, then they leave to a place where they can actually do their jobs in proper conditions and be paid a fair salary. It is not a question of tying them down. It is a question of treating them fairly so they choose not to go
The USA clearly needs to adopt government healthcare.
We won't need to pay any taxes soon
"We"?
Yes, because we'll be dead😂
Slash MP salaries and redirect it into healthcare.
Jeremy seems so tired, the PM we should have had.

The aid to Ukraine is just. The aid to Israel is not.
You have a bad moral compass.
The Australian system is semi privatised. Hence they can pay higher rates. Is it time we followed the AUS model?
Have money for wars abroad but nothing for their own
The population is already sick, and if you can’t pay out of your own pocket (which is impossible for the majority of citizens) get ready for sub par treatment and unacceptable waiting times.
I had a concussion like incident (temporary memory loss, persistent headaches afterwards) and wanted a brain scan, ended up waiting 4 months. I healed on my own in those months, but it has been hell. At this point I also have to mention that I live in Germany, not the UK. So doesn’t matter if you’re in or out of the EU. Doctors migrate to better paying countries everywhere. And If you ask me, getting paid enough money is probably not the only issue here.
I don’t want to imagine how it feels like having to refuse treatment for someone in the best way I can, only because insurance says no we are saving money. A lot of doctors hands are completely bound by the system they inhabit.
Vote Green 💚
Britain say goodbye to your NHS You’re under American control. Now you got out of the EU you’re on your own
people have to pay to be healthy. No more free ride. Goodbye.
There's no American control - that's idiotic. This is the UK doing it to themselves. Don't blame others when it is your own fault.
You wouldn’t think it was the 21st century would you? All those decades of science fiction wasted… 😢
Not that the NHS is providing an adequate service to start with. The whole NHS needs better management to bring it under control. So much money is wasted on over paying doctors (50% of the NHS budget is on pay).
Over paying doctors? You gonna drop the wages to below minimum wage? Isn’t that illegal
God bless Jeremy Corbyn.
6:40 good luck to him but you should be writing Parliamentary Candidate at this point
Got money for Ukraine right?
Maybe if healthcare was less influenced by the state, the market would respond by paying junior doctors more, to stop them leaving. These guys seem to be arguing for market mechanisms
We send Australia doctors; they send us barmaids & baristas in return... sounds about right...
Barmaids, really mate, we make better coffee, so that's a direct benefit to you. The fact is we pay doctors more and provide better conditions and then there's the weather... don't blame us for your conservative party withdrawing funds from the NHS.
@@joanneburford6364 I'm not blaming Australia for the absolute dire state of the NHS; nor for the career choices of medical staff; particularly those of the generation that feel short-changed; having been subject to rapidly rising tuition fees for a long period of study, face a rapidly increasing workload, coupled with a slowly stagnating salary. Although, there was a "morale bonus" of a weekly orchestra of clanging pots & pans...
I don't begrudge those that have found their willingness and resources to be patient exhausted. They're not criminals, for setting sail for Down Under; for better opportunities. I feel the government's exploitation of the NHS; enriching private sector cronies; like leeches on the carcass; has been criminal.
I drink tea, not coffee; so not much direct benefit to me, there.
Just allow folk to earn more before tax .

If they dont want to work sack them!
Strange that on the same day as this video History Debunked has a video about how doctors earn enough that many of them only work part-time and many retire early; if the pay is so bad, how can they afford to do that?
That may be true for consultants (although maybe less so now). Not true for juniors - and it can take 10 years or more to reach consultancy!
JUNIOR Doctors, bozo
What do they earn ? Maybe it is enough already?
Nope! Not for the unmatched level of skill and expertise we provide. Not for the extortionate amount of student debt we are all in. Not for the horrendous hours we work (48 hours is "normal") and the huge sacrifices we make (remember covid?!). Not for the horrific conditions we are all currently working in. Absolutely not enough!
Why it's so hard to understand that we all deserve good salaries and enjoy life while it's last???
Start on £15 an hour (prior to strikes it was £14 an hour)
Pure greed basically.
Ah so this is why doctors have been treating patients poorly for over 10 years.
The left: "Doctors and nurses are leaving the nhs."
Also the left: "We need even more immigration numbers coming because of all those doctors and nurses."
So you're argument is...
People are leaving their jobs...so we need people to replace them?
You'd think with three quarters of a million people a year coming here legally of which apparently a good number of them are doctors and nurses , that staffing the nhs wouldn't be a problem after 14 years of the tories , even if we do lose a few to Australia.
@HangingAround77 I don't think you understand how the NHS works at all. You do realise that even if you have staff you still need space? And even if you have space you still need equipment? But I'm pretty sure the NHS has been struggling on all three counts.
I'm guessing you are a Tory or Reform supporter. You do realise that even they have supported inbound migration for healthcare workers?
@@HangingAround77 it's mass immigration that's killing the NHS
Omg imergants...oh look, a boat😂😂
If doctors leave to work in medicine abroad, there should be a way to close back the fees for their degrees including nhs subsidies.
Massive student loans don't just magically disappear! You still pay them if you go abroad.
You don't pay them enough to pay back the loans.
Why don't you think before you speak?
If you spend 250k per medical student graduating (and they also pay over 50k in fees on top of that), thats a sunl cost. Rather than trying to claw anything back, try to make the end conditions and wage attractive enough that they don't think about leaving. Otherwise you're just wasting money.
@@berniethekiwidragon4382 everybody knows the NHS salaries for junior staff are awful, they've signed up to this. If their intention is to do the degree and leave asap, there should be a clawback mechanism.
Also note, the junior doctor salaries are base rated meaning many can earn much more. There's also a clear career path to consultancy which pays very well. There's a reason doctors tell their kids to be doctors...
@alsayedfakhri4597 You do realise that you are trying to defend unsustainable wages, don't you?
They can go abroad, or leave the profession altogether, leaving you high and dry with no doctor or nurse to tend to you in a timely manner when you are sick or injured. Impose such draconian measures, and watch the number of applications plummet. Can you understand?

Haha, noooo.
Reform would turn our country into a US system of privatised health care for big pharmaceutical.
People will have to think to feed their families or get help for things to save their lives.
One of the things that makes Britain great is our access to free healthcare through tax payer input and care for our healthcare workers. If you care about British people then you should vote for a cause that will actively keep British doctors in Britain.
