- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 2 ส.ค. 2024
- Thousands of people lined the streets of Dublin, Ireland, to bid farewell to The Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan on Friday. The singer died on 30 November, aged 65.
MacGowan combined elements of punk rock with traditional Irish music to create his own unique folk music sound. Many gave their own musical tributes to the folk icon.
After giving the people of Dublin a chance to say goodbye, the procession travelled to Nenagh, County Tipperary for a star-studded funeral attended by Irish President Michael D. Higgins and Johnny Depp among many others.

Wasn't he born in England? R.i.p
Yeah, he was what is called London Irish.
He was born in England and had a tough time growing up there - to every Englishman in London in the eighties he was a filthy Paddy. He spent much time back in his Parents home as a youngfella which instilled his Irishness.......He had many faults, many many faults, but being an Englishman was not one of them 😅
@@Johnnyfive55 He seemed quite happy to immerse himself in the English punk scene of the 1970s. He’s regarded as one of the original London punk rockers.
Who ?
