I wish Ska was still big. Sublime, this band, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Madness, Supervillains, Less than Jake, etc spanned a particularly good era of my life and it's therapeutic listening to it.
26 years ago our 13 year-old daughter and son learned that Real Big Fish were playing one-night only in Lille, France. In a small club. We lived in Paris at the time. They were so excited, bouncing off the walls. I said, Do you really want to go? They said YES. I said, You both have to go to school tomorrow. They promised. I said, Let's do it. We rented a car and drove 2 1/2 hours to Lille. Show started at 9pm, we had just enough time. While they were in the club, we had dinner down the street. The show ended around 11:30. About 35 people at the club and the band was really glad someone was speaking to them in English. They had a ball. They were on a cloud the whole ride back. We got home between 2 and 3am. They went to school the next day. And we were "the best parents ever" for years to come.
This is like every other SKA video ever - walking with instruments , crazy clothes and faces - A hype man that can also play the trumpet every once in a while - and I love them all
a hype man that can play the trumpet once in awhile -- love this comment. I get the itch to listen to this band, and this song, in particular, every few months. For some reason, this time, the hype man is distracting as hell, lol
This band is like a time capsule...I remember seeing them and goldfinger in a parking lot in Indianapolis and it was one if the best nights of my life.
Ska really needs a comeback. I was lucky enough to see Reel Big Fish live about 17 years ago and being at a small college...they were f'n cool guys...like the "Hey yeah I know we are in the middle of nowhere, but we will be at the party."

I can never get over this video. The fact that it's so simple yet so enthralling just because of their facial expressions and dancing is so great. I love them so much lol
And the fact that they had to record the music video "singing" in half speed, so they could 2x the footage in post and still have the mouth movements follow. Brilliant.
This my first real experience with Ska, and from what I can tell, it’s what happened when a punk, a band geek, and a choir kid were all put into detention together breakfast club style and formed a band.
