You should implement CPDLC with the ATC system for ARTCC/FIR en-route and for PDC's on the ground so you dont have to call delivery each time, that would be awesome!
I think we're getting a bit closer with AI but the intensity in the delivery of simple instructions and responses still keeps the tool on the robotic side. The AI learning is a great. I'd recommend some less intense audio samples to humanize the overall program. Looking forward to this coming to the sim. Regardless of small improvements, I think this will be a fantastic alternative to live ATC like VATSIM.
Well a lot of that degradation is actually exaggerated. Actual communications between ATC and planes are clearer than when we listen in as a third party. But yeah, could use a little more and the voices at least in the actual flight seem robotic. The demo at the beginning sounded amazing.
Phenomenal Stuff! The premium pack genuinely SEEMS premium, instead of simply adding a cost to a sub-standard product, and I commend you for that. I sincerely cannot wait to showcase this on my channel and help bring Beyond ATC to as many people in the community as possible!
This is absolutely the most wanted tool since the release of MSFS. The voices sounds great! Maybe you can make the voices more radio-ish like in real life. Some voices also do sound already aggressive when at first contact. But apart from that. Take you time guys so we all can enjoy this gem in the making. So excited.
Also the "g'day to you as well*. I've never heard a controller say "as well". Nitpicking. All around this looks awesome! Also, I feel like there's a lot of middle age controllers out there. The ai voices tend to not sound very age mature. Not sure if there's any way to control the variation there. Keep up the great work!
I wonder if you include an optional check box to op-in option in the options to allow the AI to re-use the users voice as a "controller voice" for future users. Idk, just throwing ideas out there and that came to mind based on the auto-reply function.
As a commercial pilot with extensive experience I realized you guys have done wonderful job, everything is precise and well thought about. Even the frequency switch overs on the ground when crossing runway was pretty accurate. excellent job
this is gearing up to be one of the best ATC programs there’s been perhaps after you’re done with FS2020/2024 you can look into releasing it for other simulators like P3D, FSX, X-Plane etc.
It may have just been my imagination, but I almost heard a note of frustration in the AI Controller’s voice after the read back was finally delivered correctly. Kudos to the developers of this program. Awesome work! Looking forward to the final implementation.
I can't wait (like everyone else!) for this, a huge advance and what people have been asking and waiting for. Worth pointing out (as you said on a previous video) that the annoying feedback beep after talking can be turned off as it could put many off and leave a false impression, that would be a shame as this is such an outstanding product. It's rare, but you have done a truly game changing job on this! All the very best to the team.
My thoughts exactly. Kinda ruined it for me right there. I’m guessing they’ll have it sorted out before release but I’ll wait until I see improvements before purchasing
I mean if it ruined it for you, just use the free built in ATC since this isn’t any better because it made one mistake…. It’s total trash… Oh wait…. Y’all remind me of a guy I was next to on a plane back in 2002 who was losing his mind because the in flight WiFi went out… in 2002.
It's funny to hear the AI interpret SID as "side" and Detroit Metro Wayne County as "WayneCo". As a retired controller from LA Center and current contract instructor at Washington Center, it bothered me to hear incorrect phraseology, mis-pronounced numbers and poor readbacks (no callsigns, etc) that were not corrected but it occurs to me that this is exactly what one hears in real life on the freq.! I just saw your interview with twotonemurphy and it sounds fantastic! I can't wait to install it!
Yeah, I was just getting ready to write a similar comment but saw this. It would be nice if the AI model maybe is updated to handle the abbreviations, and maybe make some random mis-pronunciations / mistakes randomly. If I could only pick one or the other though I rather have it read it back correctly, at least on the controller side.
Can't wait to see this software out for sale. This could really be a game changer. Some curiosity though: You were cleared for 01L and in the same time another traffic (presumably from FSLTL) was cleared for takeoff on 26R, which is basically the same runway on the opposite direction. I guess that since (as you said in the interview) you are not "controlling" the traffic but just adding dialogues to them, this seems a classic "weather conflict" between MSFS and FSLTL
I'm wishing that you'll be getting a nice email from Jorg to license your tech for the sim, so that everyone can benefit from your work. Regardless of whether or not that happens, I'll be a happy customer once this releases!
Hello! I met you at FSexpo and you kindly let me and my friend try this software. We are controllers on VATSIM and we were very impressed with the depth and phraseology this program uses. I see that my phraseology feedback "One Seven Seventeen Thousand Feet" has been implemented! This is impressive. I wish you well.
Once again I am extremely impressed by this product. I will definitely purchase the premium voices because I don't get as much time on the sim as I would like. Therefore the cost should not be prohibited for me. I am happy that you are accepting public input but do not delay the release to accommodate everyone's needs.
As usual you continue to impress Cap! We’re all very excited for this release. You and your partner working in this out here performing miracles for the MSFS community.
The turbulence Pirep (had to look that up) - was crazy. Stay safe up there! I just do not understand how this works - its blown my mind. Cant wait for this to release.
This looks amazing! I can't wait for it to be released. The only thing I have a quarrel with right now is that you asked for 08L, Which is what the ATIS called for, but everyone else was going to 26R and 26L. I feel like it should have had you go to 26L/R instead since that's where it's sending everyone else.
In real life They depart 26 right , arrive 26 Left or Depart 08 Left, and arrive 08 Right at LAS, if winds are extreme out of SW, they also land 19 right, and depart 19 left,I hope these custom runway usages can be someday instituted for each airport. I believe since the Los Angeles runway disaster, airports with parrelel runway configurations depart on the inboards, and arrive on the outboards,LAX does this.
@@jdshemp Yeah I know that's the case. I was just thinking about how if it's not doing that it should still send you to the same runways it's sending everyone else.
Very impressive and I love their intention to get the community involved into possibly adding new features into this amazing program…cannot wait for this.
Boy do I want THIS NOW. This Sim needs this, I need this, 1000's of others need this. You have a Huge Hit here! Guys hurry up and get this out will you 'Please'.
Looking great! One criticism during taxi: other aircraft were being directed to hold short or cross runway 26, but the active runway direction was 08, to which you were taxiing. In this case, 26 shouldn’t be mentioned. Perhaps this is an issue with defaults, but it would be more realistic for that traffic to match the active conditions. Please keep up the great work, this is very exciting!
It sounds wonderful! Though I noted at 23:15 another a/c cleared for takeoff on 26R as we are rolling on 08L. I have paused it in anticipation of the smash! 😆
This is next level simulation you guys at beyond atc are doing an awesome job, this is definitely on my shopping list which I will be using in msfs 2024.
Thanks for doing this my hometown flight. I have been waiting for this for 20+ years. Never fly on VATSIM, or buy any ATC add on. Will buy this for sure
This looks like a game changer! I like using pilotedge once in a while, but sometimes I want the realism but not the stress, and this would be great for that. Also, pilotedge is still limited to the West Coast USA. I've never tried vatsim but I don't love the idea of one controller controlling so many areas on the same frequency. This really seems like a great solution! Thanks for all the effort!
This looks great! I will say, some of those taxi instructions were a doozy. I'm not sure I'd remember "Taxi via Alpha-6, Alpha, Alpha-4, Charlie-4, Bravo, Charlie-2, Charlie, Charlie-1, Quebec, Romeo"
The AI pilots should also get communications wrong from time to time and ATC correct/ask for corrections. I cannot wait for this and am super excited to give this a go!
Haven’t read all the comments, so forgive me if this a dumb question… are you going to use the default MSFS taxiways, or real taxiways (e.g. Justflight Real Taxiways USA)? Asking because if you don’t use the real taxiway assignments, for someone who’s trying to learn IRL-which seems to be the intent of your product-that would be really, really bad. :)
This is really amazing. But what it would make perfect imho: Each section of the phrases are ending with a full stop, which you can clearly hear in the voice. In real ATC it's more like everything was one sentence, more like separated by commas. And in reality it sounds less pronounced, less "important", more casual and to some extend more "bored". This will make it harder to understand aswell, but will greatly improve realism. It's really hard to describe but I hope you'll get the point
Climb via Saaid, you could sell it as local dialect :D In all, this is getting better each time. Amazing! Congratulations. But at 11:00 I really expected it to say something like "We have a number for you to call."
This is super cool and awesomely implemented! A couple of things though from the initial part of the video, usually airplanes getting switched to tower get told to monitor tower rather than contact tower. This will avoid each plane in the sequence from calling the tower to announce they're ready for takeoff and congesting the frequency. Instead the controller will just call the pilots in sequence and line them up/clear them for takeoff accordingly. Second thing, the only time a controller states "radar contact", at least in the US, is during initial radar identification which typically is during the departure phase(departure controller). Generally, once an airplane has been radar identified, there is no need for each controller after that to keep stating "radar contact". I'm really hoping Asobo/Microsoft will reach out to you and pay you a pretty penny to implement this in a future MSFS update. Keep up with the great work you're doing!
WOW! Waiting for something like this for over three decades of flight simming. Started with SubLogic, MSFS as a teen. Then went on to get my PPL twenty five years ago. This is going to be... "game changing"... and I don't use that word often 😂
Hype cannot be any higher at this point. Really looking forward to this product, but agree you should take your time to make the best product possible.
7:51 Why is a flight going to Charlotte being assigned the JOHKR3? that SID goes west 8:51 Same thing with the Delta going to Detroit. They were assigned a SID going southwest 22:53 They cleared 2 different aircraft to takeoff from the same runway in opposite directions. 🤦♂️ I’m impressed by this but it’s still not ready yet.
Was a bit hesitiant with the pricing etc. But hearing the voice in this video it really has impressed me. Like it largely sounds real, at least as close as I've ever heard. Only picked up on two things that need to be worked on, like Captain said, it saying SID wrong and when reading the clearance/taxi instruction etc it should says "Runway 2-6-Left" instead it says "RW 26 L". But very close - expect that to be worked out by release.
These premium voices will definitely be your U.S.P. It sounds like a live human, the previous (standard) voices, although much better than what we had before, still sounded a little like a mobile phone assistant. Put your main focus on these and I'm definitely in!
I think that might open up some questionable situations with voices that sound all too real. "Viper 12 you're cleared to engage the Russian Fighter entering American Airspace" lol. idk i've never played DCS haha
@@Not_Lewis wtf are u talking about? the US doesn't divulge top secrete info like radio comms to civi's much less are their f-16s flying around listening to social media for their directives....
@@Not_Lewis Have you ever watched a movie? Played a video game? Listened to an audiobook? They're full of real recordings of people saying all kinds of things, and the world has yet to burn down.
I love this, if I had to say anything it would be that some of the AI voices seem over excited and yelling back instructions etc. Any way to calm all that down it would be perfect.
I mean you guys definitely have something going there. I feel as these voices are too clean and need more “radioing” and also I’m not fully onboard with the voice tones, something is off to me. These need to be a bit faster. This thing has great potential, I’m probably going to give it a go when it releases.
i really wanna see emergency handling with beyond ATC. is it implemented to have say an engine failure that would make you return to the airport of origin, or a medical emergency that would make you divert to the nearest airport?
Any plans for adding configureable talking speeds to the controllers? Being able to set the controller's talking speed slow while you get used to reading back instructions, then being able to dial up the speed as you become for comfortable would be areally nice feature additon.
excellent stuff. that controller that 'donated' his voice sounds like thevrpilot? hes a controller at kmia right? also - i noticed that when you called up for clearance and other aircraft were on frequency they didnt seem to be 'listening out' before speaking. it was clear that you had already initiated a call but seemed that other aircraft were not recognising this?
That’s correct! Haha. I’m at KTPA now. Just up the street. I’ll be showing off this software in beta and how it incorporates to VR. I’m blown away by Scott and his work and happy to help out in any way possible!
Great job! I have a question for the devs: are the frequencies based on the sim data? Because sometimes there is a difference between sim data and real world data (i.e. the sim can use the same frequency or even a backup frequency for tower, ground, etc.). Also, in large airports, are there going to be separate frequencies for , let's say, ground control? For example: ground west and ground east?
Could you please do a flight with a small GA aircraft? It would be very interesting to see the VFR part of Beyond ATC and the IFR with small GAs. Thank you!
sounds quite good for US ATC, but I wonder, if you take other Countries characteristic in consideration? beginning with accents to the point of wordings... for example in Europe you say QNH instead of Altimeter for the ALT setting, you say "decimal" instead of "point" and call signs (numbers) are pronounced as "Delta 1 2 3 4" other then in the USA where you say "Delta 12 34" and consider different Transition Alt / levels for alle major countries? -Is VFR flight also considered, maybe even for different countries with it''s specific differences? -Could you add non normals /Emergencies? Like Emer descent, Engine Fail/Return, in Flight Diversion, weather /CB avoidance via Heading etc.?
I'd be lying if I said I'm in no hurry for this. I can't wait for Beyond ATC to be released.

AI can do crazy things and very happy to see that it can also give us an amazing sim experience. Thank you guys for your amazing job ❤
Awesome!!! Cant wait to try it out!
Cant wait for this to released :D
brilliant! now we wait for the vfr atc interaction :)
Not every airport uses the 80's robot voice for METAR info, they often loop a recording from the active controller
Yeah, hopefully they will add an option to choose whether to use robotic voice or an AI human voice
Or an airport specific mod file?
I mean you guys definitely have something going there. I feel as these voices are too clean and need more “radioing” and also I’m not fully onboard with the voice tones, something is off to me. These need to be a bit faster. This thing has great potential, I’m probably going to give it a go when it releases.
i really wanna see emergency handling with beyond ATC. is it implemented to have say an engine failure that would make you return to the airport of origin, or a medical emergency that would make you divert to the nearest airport?
maybe even atc telling you you have flames coming from an engine or something if you're at the airport
That's cool you can really mess it up and get back on track.
Mindblowing 👀
Any plans for adding configureable talking speeds to the controllers? Being able to set the controller's talking speed slow while you get used to reading back instructions, then being able to dial up the speed as you become for comfortable would be areally nice feature additon.
I think it'd be better to be able to ask ATC directly to repeat slowly, as would happen IRL. :)
excellent stuff. that controller that 'donated' his voice sounds like thevrpilot? hes a controller at kmia right? also - i noticed that when you called up for clearance and other aircraft were on frequency they didnt seem to be 'listening out' before speaking. it was clear that you had already initiated a call but seemed that other aircraft were not recognising this?
That’s correct! Haha. I’m at KTPA now. Just up the street.
I’ll be showing off this software in beta and how it incorporates to VR.
I’m blown away by Scott and his work and happy to help out in any way possible!
@@theVRpilothehe nice one hope your keeping well mate keep up the good work !
Absolutely amazing.
this is awesome better that MSFS ATC anyday cant wait for release
25:50 the india accent, cant wait for this addon
Pretty cool to see MCRD off to the right of KSAN.
Wow, this sounds hilariously realistic!! NICE!!!!!! AI even got a sense of humor in the tone. The way it says no. lol🤣🤣🤣
Great video. I would love to see how this works with VFR flights flying into airspace since I plan on using this with Neofly GA flights
Can't wait for the release
For not being a pilot, you sure seem very familiar with that plane. Can't wait for release!
