All signs point to the OP’s sister experiencing some form of SA. She needs help from a professional. This is way past the help of a supportive sibling.

    • @uniraffesaur

That was what I was thinking. She very suddenly changed and became depressed and addicted to an unhealthy vice. It’s not uncommon for survivors of SA to cope through hyper sexuality, and I believe it’s because it helps them feel a sense of control over their sexual encounters.
I hope his sister can get the help she needs. It sounds like she’s *really* struggling.

And their mom is more than likely in denial about it, or worse yet might blame sister for what happened. That's the only reason I can think of for her to downplay it so hard.

I was also thinking about SA.
Op should keep an eye on his sister because in this state she might get around dangerous people and in dangerous situations. Around drug dealers, pimps, creeps, human traffickers to name a few extremes.
And the most concerning thing is the mother who's like: "meh classic girl things, why are you so overreactive son?"
Maybe the girl was SAed and the mom is one of those prudes who wants to hide it under the rug. I heard stories of girls and women who had been SAed and their mothers made their daughters to shut up about it because the people will judge them for being SAed.

    • @Tantejay
      @Tantejay 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +123

Probably the mother - no joke here. She's downplaying it and she is keeping the son deliberately out.
She's either helping or the abuser.
Nonetheless: The sister needs urgent help because apparently those videos are "training" how to please.
      That is an ongoing situation.

Story 3: Don't be confused. That popular guy's small act of kindness in defending you, and you helping him with his homework speaks volumes. He helped you, you helped him, now he wants to help you again by returning the favor. Not a lot of people do this, so just accept his kindness OP.

Yeah, he realizes that he got a lot more out of the deal they had in school. Add to the fact the indirect threat of having to do it or it would restart. He didn’t give her an option just do it. It did help OP nonetheless. Let him make amends.

It also sounds like he's trying to make amends. He might feel bad about defending her only because she did his homework and wants to make it up to her. She clearly holds no ill will, so accepting the act of kindness helps him find closer.

He likely won't even expect a thank you, he is doing it for her as much as it is for himself. That's why he is so forceful about it, even going behind her back to do what he thinks would be best for her when she doesn't accept his help directly. Even if he isn't exactly a great person, he feels that he could have done better, and he can now better reflect on his actions. Now that he is not hurting for money, he can spread an amount that wouldn't be too consequential to him to help those he thinks he didn't treat as well as he should have, to earn his peace of mind...

Second story: Tanya and Seb are both like a small kid, treating people like toys. Tanya is a classic case of 'grass is greener'. When she had him, she cheated on him. When she no longer had him and he was out of reach, she wanted him back dearly. When he came back for her, she pushed him away again. When OP ditched him, she kept him at arm's length. And there is more than a little bit of evidence Seb is similar, but more greedy when it comes to keeping things he already believes he owns. When he no longer had Tanya, he kept her near as much as he could but he made OP, who he believed to be already his, pursue him as he put all is effort into maintaining his hold on Tanya, who was out of reach. Then when he realized he was losing the OP, although it took a bit longer to settle in, he tried to keep her when she wanted nothing of him, to the point of recruiting family into the campaign. When he had nothing left, he started self-destructing for pity instead of taking any accountability for his own actions.

Story 2: I think Tanya like your ex are obsessed with each other, it's not any kind of love they just have an unhealthy obsession to be in each other's lives. And unfortunately that obsession is why you could never be put first. Maybe for Tanya having cancer was a wake-up call that she didn't want this, or your ex smother the hell out of her and she got sick of it, heck she probably could have just felt bad that his wife was playing second fiddle or he missed you but didn't want to go, I don't know. But it does it matter because the end result is you finally get to live your life and don't have to be his second option anymore, no more fighting or forcing him to act like your husband. So if I, someone who is emotional on the best of days (worse when I am about to get my monthly visit from the Red Dragon), can be half-a-world away and still call my hubby, then this guy could have easily called his wife IF he cared as much about her as he claimed he did.

    Story one:
TALK TO HER!! As someone else suggested, it sounds like sexual assault trauma, where she feels like she isnt of value to someone, if she isnt sexually available to them.
On the upside (no this isnt an incest suggestion, sorry to disappoint those of you who were hoping), she sees you as someone important to her. She asked you something, that is very out of the norm, because she felt safe enough to do so. If you are lucky, it ISNT trauma as mentioned, but rather that she has a crush on you, for being the best solid foundation in her life. Oedipus and the equivalent for sexes switched -complex is fairly normal. Although we learn from being raised and from society that incest is inappropriate. Also that its more a matter of sexual curiosity and that the target becomes someone they trust. Now i dont see any ages on it, or i have missed it, so i cant say if this is likely something due to puberty and hormones or something much more malicious. The isolation can also be from being bullied, but the sudden addiction to porn sounds like trauma from sexual assault (I know from experience). However if she is just around the start of puberty it could be that her porn addiction is the reason she isolates herself, because she might have developed an extreme libido (like nymphomania, which is a disease, not a choice).
All in all, ask her. Talk with her and do NOT shun her away. Even if you feel awkward. which is reasonable, the best course of action is through communication and trying to understand where this sudden desire in her comes from. And makes sure she understands it too, and isnt just riding the wave of hormones.

Oh, no. From the beginning of the story, I was suspecting it, but it sounds like OP's sister experienced some sort of SA. One way that an SA victim can react to their trauma is to start to act hypersexual as a way to reclaim power, but this rarely is done in a healthy way. She needs serious therapy and a strong support system right now. I hope she gets the help she needs...

14:16 - Hold on, now… I’m glad this person recognized that doing nice things for people also makes the giver feel good, but I have so many problems with the friend’s attitude.
It’s nice that it makes you happy to do nice things for other people, and there’s nothing wrong with feeling good about doing those nice things, but I’d like to think that the main motivation is that they benefit the recipient. We all know the kind of “nice” people who are ONLY doing it for the personal good feeling, not because others are in need. The kind whose generosity is conditional and transactional.
Some of those people turn nasty the second you decline. They don’t know your reasons for declining, but you refused to let them have their buzz and they flip out on you for it. So apparently someone was deserving of your help when you had something to gain from it, but now that you aren’t gaining anything, they deserve to be damaged instead? But that’s how they act. They see you as ungrateful for declining their kindness and instead of moving on, they opt to hurt you for it. It’s so petty and self-righteous. The true test of kindness is how it endures when others don’t live up to expectations.
So yes, if a kindness is being offered to me, I DO bloody get to decide whether you get to do something that makes you happy. If your happiness is entirely dependent on forcing me to comply with your wishes, however generous you think you are, then you’re going to have to find other means of fulfillment.
You don’t force people to accept offers they don’t want on the grounds that they have the right to give even when you don’t want to receive. That’s not service, it’s blackmail.

Last story: The "opening up the marriage" stories are the best form of malicious compliance to me. Yet again, another example of someone (usually husband) who wants to open the relationship so he can hook up with someone he already had lined up and then it totally backfires on them when the spouse (wife) has more guys throwing d--- at her than she can handle and he's left sitting at the house while she's living her best life. I don't even know the sister in #1, but I'm really worried about her. It not uncommon that victims of SA become hypersexual, so I wouldn't be shocked if that's what's happening. But now she's extremely vulnerable to awful people taking advantage of this and leading her down a really dark path, mentally, that she'll have a hard time coming back from. Her mom needs to step tf up! Thankfully OP isn't a POS, but there are a million people out there who wouldn't think twice about using her. 😟

When people are lonely, they act out. When I was a teenager, my younger sister would find some excuse to come into my room. I knew the real reason was that she was lonely and just wanted company. The mature person grows up and finds a healthy relationship.
I used to live with roommates. I remember that I was too busy to hang out with them and it hurt their feelings. They even wanted me to marry into their family ( I have never wanted to get married). I made it clear, I was not interested but they kept pushing the idea so I made the healthy choice and moved out.
When people have been alone too long, they get desperate. There is also the idea of skin starved, going to long without feeling the touch of someone else. I used to work in fast food, the homeless people would pay with spare change and then touch my fingers. It was weird, but I understood why they did it.

And I feel extremely shitty for wanting them to live up to the expectation to prove to me that I’m not in this one-sided relationship. But at this point, I’ve been told (possibly gaslit) that just because nobody initiates the conversation is not indicative of not caring about me, but the excuse of never having a moment just shoot a text or call is bullshit.
