California Crystal Excursion Part 2!

As we made our way back to the car after a long day of crystalling, I noticed a few random pieces of quartz that were in a very conspicuous place. I looked around me to see if there was any float coming from up above but there wasn’t. There was only float downhill from me, meaning these few quartz pieces had a good chance of being part of vein running below our feet. Turns out, that was definitely the case. The first piece I flipped had vugs on the bottom side so I moved a few hand fulls of dirt out of the way and voila, the first crystal in the pocket was found. And the luster and color of these crystals is incredible. Some are very dark morion-like Smokey Quartz and some are coated in/included with, what looks like chlorite or some sort of very shiny metal. Unfortunately, due to stress in the ground over millions of years, most of the larger crystals in the pocket broke and either re healed, and or, got etched by fluids. Either way, very happy with the crystals I found. Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoyed!
