While this story is fake, there was an actual case where someone donated her kidney to her boss and she ran into complications. She couldn't go back to work for a long time and that same ungrateful boss actually fired her. True story, look it up
Well it is said they forged her signature on the forms add in the fact that the doctor who actually did the operation was part of the network as well so the hospital probably wasn't afraid after all if she pressed charges the hospital had the excuse that it was her parents and jake forged her signature therefore they cant be held accountable.

There is no forgiveness in any of this the family and doctors should pay reimbursement 100% and Opie need to leave the country cutting all ties with them. This is beyond unforgivable they nearly killed their daughter just to pay their idiot sons gambling debt off he is a grown man that should have solved his own problem. But hey once again a golden child ends up getting the family into huge trouble.
